Your three-step prep is golden. I often follow-up electric trimmers with specialty nose-hair scissors that have curved and blunted blades for hairs that manage to duck the trimmers.

I don't own the Manscaped Weed Whacker but I've had my Microtouch Max Hair Trimmer for about 3 years. It does a good job. With a built in light so you can see where you're going.
I’ve found the best nose hair trimmer is the “Groom Mate Platinum XL Nose & Ear Hair Trimmer” It doesn’t require any electricity and is the most accurate tool for the job. They are inexpensive and built out of tank treads. They are cheap enough to have one at home and keep one in your vehicle (for those times when you look in the rear view mirror and go “damnit! Look at those nose hairs!”

When you buy a nose and ear trimmer, check the noise level as it can be surprisingly high when you trim your ear. A 3dB difference means twice or half the noise. Big difference.
