Your confidence can intimidate others and they may attempt to tear you down, because they’re lacking in their own lives. Know it’s their own issue and you need to shrug it off and keep it moving.

So true, and especially so when i was in my early to mid-20’s. I heard things that can only be described as insane. Things about me were made up out of thin air that weren’t even remotely aligned with my character or personal ethics. I tried to laugh them off, though so many people started telling me these stories it did ultimately really anger me. People I didn’t even know other than seeing them in passing must have been so jealous or envious they felt entitled to make up these really heinous stories about me. I became very closed off and started having a bit of social anxiety.

    1. Usefulness and functionality ( provider and protector )
    2. A sense of purpose and be on your purpose
    3. Confidence( self belief )
    4. Humility( constantly improving and humble... Isn't arrogant and open to Learn )
    5. Physicality( be strong physically and be in good health )
    6. Courage ( risk taker... Don't live with fear of failure )
    7. Assertive ( sets boundaries )
    8. Sense of curiousity ( learn more about the world try new things )
    9. Adaptability ( face lifes challenges without breaking down )
    10. Consistent ( is dependable and keeps his words )
Every now and then there will be a paradox between these traits, I believe a man should only learn from people who are better than himself, a man doesn't know everything and should be humble and open to learning and listening but should also be able to carefully navigate on what actions to take( if to continue on his path or make changes based on the opinion of others be it your family, friends ) read books on relationships, on masculinity, on women and on children it should help in navigating when a man hits a paradox

I really appreciate this channel O.G. The style and grooming tips are on point but these vids are really necessary. I work in STEM, and I have to tell you there is a very strong push to quash masculinity at the university level. Being a masculine man can literally get you black listed and ostracized depending on where you are. I've noticed other cultural problems outside of university that push young men to be softer. A lot of us wind up in this space after we struggle with women due to this softness that we have been trained into, but sadly some men are going to really struggle with their masculinity in other areas i.e. their careers.
Having a space like this where you can avoid being gas lit and build yourself up are much needed. Keep at it.

This is deep....a lot of Cats miss this approach success in life. There's one thing that should included, you could have feminine mannerisms, and still have a masculine approach to life. A childhood dude I grew up with had a soft outward demeanor that the girls loved, and was the real deal! We hung out 24/7! Really good dude!

I am 56. I know an elder in our community who has effeminate traits. His voice is very soft and not much bass.
Although this is true, he is a TRUE leader in his family and community. He has purpose. He has concern and standing in the community. He is entrepreneural and he protects those who are vulnerable. Yes a real man can have feminine affects but other men know he is the REAL DEAL of a Man.

Basically, all of that is true. Also, when it comes to be masculine is to have high value and not let women walk all over you. Back then I was a simp when simp wasn't a big topic but now I'm 22 and my woman sees how much I've changed for the 5+ years we've been together. She tells me that I've matured and seen me as more attractive since I'm strong and don't take disrespect lightly. To be honest, I've never been in a fight for all of my life because people tell me that they are scared because of how quiet I am. Plus you should have a membership for your channel I want to support you more OG. Keep up the good work. Salute. Fly Eagles Fly - Eagles fan from NJ lol.

I love this video, thank you for this as it is very much needed in our day. It grieves me to see masculinity maligned and rejected as it is today. Far too many young men have not been taught how to be masculine without being a jerk. A man, functioning as God created him to function, is awesome and a benefit to his family, friends and community. One trait I would add is that masculine men are honest with themselves, and others.

Love it! Masculinity is...#11). Owning up to and taking care of your responsibilities.
If there’s one area of mens lives that’s the most destructive to them, their families and communities is running away from responsibility.
We do nothing perfectly but I dare say that one of the reasons OG is so appreciated is that via avoidance of responsibility far too many boys and young men are growing up without the kind of examples and wisdom he’s speaking on.
    Salute and God bless. 👏🏾💪🏿🙏🏾

The lessons that you teach are so on point. These are thoughts and ideas that can and should be taught to our young brothers starting as freshmen in high school. Yes, incorporate this type of peripheral learning into the curriculum. Dropping these seeds early can help develop the mindset for a community of real men. Young men need to have these cardinal principles ingrained into their being at a young age and soon they will be able to walk the life of a true masculine man. Again, thanks for dropping these seeds.

Can confidently say I've evolved myself to hit all of these targets, but I will admit I couldn't say this until my late 30s. If I grew up with a dad in my life, probably would've been here in my mid 20s. Moral of the story is, take care of your kids, it'll solve so many issues in our community if we had a high percentage of loving 2 parent households.

Yo...this channel has alot more useful information than most of these others on the internet. I learned on this topic today than I have in 40 years. Alot of us black men learn that being alpha male or masculine means bullying...or showing aggression. But this broke it down so simple and it makes perfect sense. Appreciate it O.G. you gained a fan

The Tiege Hanley skincare for men is excellent. I wasn't expecting 7 pieces in the kit, worth the cost 10/10. Salute!

Excellent points for a man and women too. There are many traits that are classic female that would serve a man well too like compassion, caring and nurturing.

I love old school masculinity. It’s very needed these days and time that we live in. Many males did not have a Real Male Role Model. Thank You for stepping into your dreams. Be Blessed

    I agree. Very good list.
I had the rest of the traits but I learned consistency only 5 years ago and it has helped me a lot.
Previously, I changed businesses too frequently without patience. If something didn't work in a few months, I'd pull it down and start something else. That was a big mistake. From 2016, I learned to keep projects running even when they were not succeeding initially, I let them run and continued to invest in them while starting new ones. Today, most of those projects have already made full ROI and well on the path of exponential growth of profits. Consistency is really the best thing a man can ever learn and apply in his life, especially as a provider. Thank you for this video
