Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Please forgive my speech. I don’t know how obvious it is in my regular videos, since they’re scripted and acted through over and over, but I have a bit of a speech impediment (plus English isn’t my native language). I’ve tried to cut out most moments where I stutter, mumble or grasp for words, but it’s still pretty hard for me to watch.
Bear was nothing but a delight to chat with though! Like he said, be sure to comment what you wish to see in his upcoming blog posts!
    Thanks for watching!

It says closed captioning isn't available. Is that a setting you have control over or is that up to UA-cam. I have enough of a hearing loss that I use them to supplement comprehension pretty much all the time.

@@monoverantus thanks, I learned a new thing today! I found a quieter room with better speakers and I was able to follow along much better.

You are being harsh on yourself, I completely understand what you are saying all the way through, and you come across very natural. Don't stress it! 😎 I do not know if you are Finnish or not but you remind me of my Finnish friends so I am thinking you are (please don't kill me if that is not the case...!)

Bear’s music is a catalyst for our imagination. It’s been really a while since a movie product did this to my brain. Thank you Maestro and bravo !!!

Oh, Bear... you said you "miscalculated how much people would love the score!" lol. I have been shouting to LOTR movie score fans to watch 'this space' for your music in The Rings of Power because of how much I've loved your TV scores (sorry, not a gamer) and how well I thought they'd love your score. I was on your BSG forum and loved how you interacted with fans and explained the thought process behind the score. Podcast: you might be aware of the authors Brandon Sanderson and Dan Wells. Brandon autographs his books and he will sit and autograph sheets (that get inserted) and chats with Dan (long time friends) and the chats get recorded as both videos and podcasts. Definitely consider recording your chats with Austin.
As far as your blog entries for RoP music, I always enjoy info on the instruments and choral pieces (for example your entries about recording the theme music for Black Sails, or the untuned piano used at the end of BSG). But pretty much, I love reading everything you write so I'm always happy with what I get. Thanks for the interview. You really are high up in my esteem of contemporary artists, partly for what you produce but just as much for who you are and how you are so open, passionate, and giving to fans. I appreciated what you said about sharing your process: "to me the value is in people like you reading it".

This made my day! Two of the most interesting people I got to know (as a fan) on the internet these last months, having a wonderful conversation about the television score I liked the most for a very long time.
Thank you so much, and greetings from Rio de Janeiro/Brazil

One thing I'd be interested to know is why the Fiona Apple vocal version of Where the Shadows Lie is track 2 on the soundtrack, compared to the final track. It would have put it in order as it appears in the show, as well as mirroring the type of emotional arc we have seen on the Shore soundtracks, ending on an evocative song.
