lots of negative vibes here already, yet this seems to be a mixer with its focus purely on sound quality and one which create new ways of actually mixing tunes together - something which feature packed mixers often seem to neglect. I've always been a fan of the x:one series for sound and features which add things that are worth using rather than just for the sake of it. The price may well be a bit steep for me, but I'd love to have a go on one. at least it's experimentation with new ways of doing things. I think it's almost impossible to judge without having a go. I've bought some mixers on hype/features in the past and never really been blown away (just usually a lighter wallet and some extra buttons I don't use that much).
@@Phicxtion I'm not so sure, decent mixers back in the day were VERY expensive... about £5,000+ ($8,000+) in todays money. Two examples are the Formula Sound PM80 and Cloud CXM from the 80s and 90s respectively. Both over £1,000 each 30-40 years ago!

Everything else on here is bang on for me. I really like tweeking highs though. Id love a "model 2" with this feature.
Does it have a built in Soundcard? It’s just you seem to have one wire plugged in but you’re using multiple channels and you say it’s analog so surely you’d need multiple inputs? Am I missing something?
for fast cuts time to time I need a NON studio faders. for that I need a scratch faders. It is m own style and I want to still doing like this ;) EDIT: Also the filling that you can have in your fingers the control of the volume is for my essential. With this faders that are also good, but not my style - you have the control in just one finger.
if you can't afford it move on. No one wants a cheap product that Everybody can have. Being exclusive and higher priced, cuts out all the regular bottom feeders. I would love to have a mixer knowing most everyone else can't afford it.
Markus Arike if this is your niche then thats fine. but this things outstanding qualities are waay too obscure for me to give a shit. it really seems like it's met for the dj's listening experience rather than the listener's.
The DJ's and the listener's experiences are the same. But if digital, made in china, mixers do what you need that's cool. I can't afford the Model 1, but all discrete analog components, made in the UK quality, it's definitely not weak. Not at all.
hahaha what? your comment makes no sense, its pretty pricey so i probably wont buy it but i think the sound quality should be pretty darn good. i think the removal of the EQ's is pretty interesting too, we need people pushing the barriers of dj technology, i always wonder what our mixers might be like in the future. will we abandon EQ's altogether in 10, 20 years? its super exciting because as a punter we might hear things we've never heard before.
What actually makes it an "Ultimate different mixer" in comparison with many available analog mixers (except the form factor) ?? just google "analog mixer" and you'll find a tons from 100$ to 3000$
I want to like this mixer but i think the effects sound pretty shit, or at least nothing new at all, also, theres nothing worse than the DJ filtering the fuck out of everything all night, I dunno, I'll wait and see other reviews before i make my mind up.

“Complete, discrete, analog mixer” which makes no sense unless he talking about how it distinguishes itself from other mixers. Saying something is discrete to an engineer makes it sound like it’s digital.
This is for less than 1% of performers you'd find at festivals, the only venue that'd even consider paying that much. It's a mixing desk with less channels and less features, built like a tank so it can survive road use. This's not for DJs. You could but why? Plenty of mixers have sends and great filters. The only interesting feature is per channel analog Overdrive, but overdriving a mastered track live? My version of sonic hell. This is for mixing synths and drum machines... maybe musicians on stage. Hawtin is going as 'band-ish' as he can from what I've read. Guess it makes sense for him but can't think of any others that'd benefit. Peeps like DeadMau5 'sorta' play live w/ limited improvisation & synth use typically use a computer and go virtual. You COULD send every channel out of your computer into the mixer but shockingly this has no MIDI, no FX and no sound card. (If it did the cost would be more than your house but still).... What benefit? Sure it sounds amazing but unless it's that Dolby Atmos shit you won't hear it. I've set up, worked and played at clubs for years. Typical low to mid tier clubs are unbalanced monitors with a mono signal, in some instances for good reason. Should've been a one off for Hawtin IMO. It's a great advert demoing how good A&H's sound and are built but that should've been it. Hopefully they're special order so A&H don't loose they ass.
