UA-cam has made me really respect what's possible with certain honda engines. I love how channels like this don't talk down to the viewers. You all recognize that you can educate others without being cocky or douchey about it and that's fucking great! Thanks for the rock solid content!
For whatever it's worth, I've watched about a dozen or so videos on this subject tonight...and I have found...that your video is one of the better ones available. It dumbs it down the right amount. Love it, thanks!
One of the best filmed segments guys! Get suppy up early in the morning! Or just film all hoonigan content in the morning, and start the workday at 3pm-12pm for the boring editing stuff
@@LapLandSystem sorry im french so i rare that all am saying is perfect but yeah now that i say taught in my head i see the one that make sense x) and its obviously not learned lol Thx for pointing me out thats how we learn buy making mistakes and buy watching car guy things and gamers from us and what not I learned all buy my self .. my English was probably rated 12 at max when i was at school Hoonigan pewdiepie and other taught me 99% of my knowledge !
If it was shown to you, it was taught. If you studied it, you learned it. Both work here as Suppy taught it to you, and thus you learned something from Suppy. So you could use either I learned from Suppy, or Suppy taught me these things. Do you see the placement of Suppy's name before and after each word? That's the importance of using both styles. English is very confusing, even as a first language haha. Cheers
Oiling the cam in the sump. Damn Suppy, it the simple things. I’ve fixed my own shit for like 15 years now, never seen that. Amazing information throughout.
to be honest this is the first video that showed the pins that lock and interact with the other cam, and where the oil comes from. all the other videos about vtec literally just say "there are multiple lobes on the cam and they engage differently at certain oil pressure" and they might show the cam, and a basic drawing of how the cams move the valves. no one shows where the oil comes from or where the pins engage. also this taught me that "Variable Timing Control" is different than VTEC/variable valve timing, which i didnt know before
This dude fits so well nd hes knownlage...like i said before why dont u let some students around help with couple projects so they learn about stuff...cause i learn more from you guys than those school books.
Dang, you guys hilarious. This channel, especially this series, is really entertaining and full of knowledge. Thank you for your knowlegde sharing awesomeness... And don't forget, the impersonation of vtec sound by the man himself is totally hilarious. You guys one of the reason I'm get into tinkering with stuft.
My favorite Hoonigan. He's the boss and everyone knows it but he's the boss for a reason and not because he's an a$$hole, he got the knowledge and experience. I bet he just slays a$$ all the time.
To complete the explanation of i-VTEC, oil pressure is, again, directed into a sealed, spring-loaded, cavitated, two-piece cam gear, wherein one piece(outer) is acted upon by timing chain and the second piece(inner) is solidly fastened to camshaft, maintained integral by a spring and the gear housing. Then, when the ecm-commanded oil pressure is directed into the cavitated two-piece cam gear housing, the pressurized oil hydraulically spins the inner piece, solidly connected to cam, against the spring and outer driven gear, thus changing valve timing events, advance or retard, dependent upon engine load and tuning specifications. This is another reason strict oil-change intervals are mandatory.
