Hope springs... well you know. Bought Captionator but when I click Captions only it generate Titles too. And there's no Font button and the number of words isn't 5, it's a whole line. Watched your video a dozen times. Clearly I'm missing something. (subscribed to your channel!) Thanks.

Ive been using this for a while, the only option I'd like is the ability to move the captions around the screen, as they sit up top or down below, and when using vertical for tiktok/shorts/reels, they are hidden by either the description or the top of the iphone screen.

Thank you! Is there a way to turn on the Shadow effect under Published Parameters on several titles at once in FCPX, or maybe to set it as On in Captionator? I love the way it looks but it's tedious and time-consuming to manually turn it on each title one at a time. (To clarify, I'm referring to "Shadow" under the Title Inspector's Published Parameters, not "Drop Shadow" under Text Inspector.)

Really appreciate the video. I have a ton of clients that need captions, and it's always been a pain to do them myself, or send out to a service. I downloaded the program but have one problem. Every time I hit "generate" it gives me an error that the file cannot be found. I have to then bring it in manually. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi Jeven... this is a great app thank you! One thing I'm having an issue with is that when I try to move the captions down or adjust to bottom or middle, even though I have them all selected it only moves the first one. I had to transform them all individually. Any thoughts on how to fix that?

Thanks for the great video! Just a small note: when I generated the titles, Final Cut didn't automatically popup with the window asking me in which library to save the captions. So I did it manually by going to where the captions were saved (.fcpxml file) and then the FCP window came up. The rest worked so well. On the side, it's a pity you cannot preview the design of the captions/titles before you generate them. Otherwise the plug-in is a great budget choice over the subscription based apps and softwares.
I'm running into this issue. Not sure how to do what you said worked.
@@yourlatinacareercoach It's been a long time since I did it, so I'm not very fresh on this, but I guess what I wanted to say is that you need to go in Finder and locate that caption file by yourself, and then do the rest. Sorry if it's still not very clear, but that's what I seem to remember...And by the way, I found that the phone app called Inshot is best at generating captions. I do captions these days with that only. You won't regret.

I wish Final Cut had the same transcription tools as adobe. It woukld be nice to be able to search for certain words to highlight like you can with Premier

Hi thanks for the plugin, can you please tell, if I speak in Hindi or Urdu etc, does this plugin would generate those "words into texts", here I am not talking about "translation", I am asking about, what it do in English, would it do in any other language, "convert the spoken words into captions, presented in English" For example I congratulate you Jeven and say "Accha Video Banaya Jeven", would this app convert this speech of mine into same what I spoke about you?
DTD validation failed for me... haven't been able to get the app to work from the get go... Latest FCP and OS

yeah, I'd love to find one as well. Currently, it takes most of the time, since you have to type each one by hand.
4:30 - At the moment, for me, when I get to this step, after I chose a folder for the fxml... there is no next window to chose which library to put them in. Uh oh. My FCP is up to date....

anyone know why the Subtitles NOT the Titles don't appear on your main timeline when you copy/paste them from their source. I'm only showing the Captions when I copy/paste. Again I'm not sure if I'm missing a checkbox or something. FYI: when I paste both Captions and Subtitles I do see the Subtibles on the timeline, but they show "grayed out". Note: they only appear on the created Project timeline Captionator created, but they don't carry over to my video Timeline.
With captions is that something that only shows if you turn it on and Titles are on all the time? I just used the program for the first time And when I exported my video With captions and no titles. They didn't show up when I tried to play it back. I'm hopeing it's just because it's something That can be turned on in the youtube settings.
You have to upload captions to UA-cam separately after the video is up

Hey Jevon, love your videos but i have to disagree with you on this one.
I bought Captionator because I saw a few rave reviews on UA-cam it but I couldn’t get it to work at all on a very simple timeline of some people talking to camera in between question titles.
The generated titles and captions from Captionator were mostly (if not completely) out of sync and had multiple overlapping errors but the other app (called Caption for FCP) was spot on in terms of timing.
It’s not perfect, the interface is simpler with less controls and it will get some words wrong (very similar to Captionator) but in terms of syncing it works very well and you can even export a PDF as a script.
My advice, if you need a caption / title generator for FCPX and you’re considering Captionator get the 'Caption for FCP' app instead. it’s half the price and twice as well.

I bought this after watching some vids and I have had nothing but problems with it! I have not been able to bulk edit the titles. I notice you used a short video but I am doing a 22 minute motivational video on a M1 Macbook Pro. All I get is the beach ball when I try to bulk edit. Frustrating. I think I'm just going to used Capcut or something to pull this off. Disappointed in this software.
What if the app makes a spelling error?
You fix it on the timeline.
The App would not work for me...No customer support from the Creator after 5 days.....I have learned a lot from you and even purchased your classes...This app is a DUD for me! BTW throw up a Transcribe error and says failed to process audio..Tried it on multiple clips...contacted Apple support etc...NO GO!
Update ...App Creator contacted me with a solution...Working now...Took 6 days.........
I use capcut to generate caption and export it..capcut is better in this area.

why cant i add the captions to the timeline i'm working on, anyone know why my video just disappears once i add the captions or try edit them?
By the way, do not waste your money, the captions generated are way off. I wasted more time trying to use this 'short cut' than it would have taken to just type the captions myself. This is definitely a shill

It still isn't 100%, sometimes the captions are crazy out of sync. I wish Final Cut just did their own auto gnerated captions like premiere pro has.
