damn good, very complete, informative, included the shortcut. Best thing is there is no loss in watch time, very impressed, well done!
Glad I could help and thanks for the ego boost!
Thanks for these tips!
No problem!
subbed just based off the name of the channel. Thanks for the info as well!
Haha! I love my name - so funny.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
thanks!
No problem!
Is there a way to change the size of the captions? 🌞 I'm making videos designes to be watched on a smartphone and the captions that FCP offers are really small :O
Thank you for a great video!
No, you have to use a title for that.
is there a way to make the captions like two seconds longer all at the same time? I have a big project and one by one is taking me forever. thank you
Yes. Select all the captions, press Control + D, enter new time and press Return.
Here's a video showing how: ua-cam.com/video/D_v6cmJRMds/v-deo.html
Are these captions part of the video? Like text? or does the watcher have to enable them. I need captions that are ON the video. Thank you so much. (I am trying to caption muffled dialogue)
Yes, you can "burn" in captions so that they always show up.
@@StupidRaisins thank you so much! Great video and channel
You're welcome
why captions have gone when I upload video to UA-cam?? 😩
Not sure. Are they in the video file?
It's when u export go to caption and then burn In video
@@Wanzitv Did you use the right captions? UA-cam supports ITT or SRT.
Is there na option to get auto generated captions in FCP? I think I saw such option in Davinci Resolve.
Sadly no.
@@StupidRaisins Thank you. FCP has some catch up to do 😅 But still it is the best
@@barbaraskibinska9128 Auto captions would rock so hard!
Is there a way to raise the font size?
@@davidstembridge1262 No. I tried all 3 formats and none of them have a size option. I also tried to change the scale but there's no option for that. I tried to turn the caption into a compound clip so I could change the scale but no luck. You'll have to use regular titles to change the size.
Can they go lower that that.. I feeli like they are too high up
You can change alignment and placement with CEA-608 captions: support.apple.com/guide/final-cut-pro/format-caption-text-ver23b2d99f0/mac
So when a video that’s had captions added is uploaded to UA-cam, how does the viewer turn them on?
They just have to press the CC button at the bottom of the UA-cam player.
@@StupidRaisins Thanks...ok, in the meantime I found what I was really wondering--the captions won't just show up if they press the CC button. I have to export the caption file from my editing software and then upload the caption file to UA-cam in addition to uploading the video. At least that's the only way I was able to see captions.
Thanks for the update
can't we change the font size?
No, captions are pretty limited. If you need more customization you'll need to use titles.
Doesn't work for my language :(
What is your language?
@@StupidRaisins Burmese
Sorry about that
