It was towards the end of the 80s, I lived in New York and I went from time to time to stroll in Central Park, one day I was sitting on a railing in front of a small kiosk, men dressed in black came and played in the kiosk, like that, it was Astor Piazzola and few other musicians. Until i wrote this message i was wondering why they offered us this gift, like that, but now i understand, they wanted to tell, that their music was a real free gift.

It never fails..Piazzolla and his magic send me back to my youth, and to an Argentina that only exists in my memory. And again I discover that I never really left my beloved country. It was only my body leaving it for more than four decades. But I forgot my heart,soul and love for this incredible music there.
Something you think you are successfully to forget but once the music plays, you find it still there in your heart and it still hurts you. Or you have been long forgotten but you don’t aware being left alone.
Is difficult to explain when asked, how can you listen to the same song over & over. This is not just a song is a masterful arrangement that touches your mind, heart & soul.

I agree. We first see Evgenia Medvedeva at 10:16 and she was wonderful. Everything came together as would be expected. I must say that when I watched Yuna Kim there was something extra special there. I am 67 years old and it was not till now that I want to see more female figure skating, and learn of it's history. I just now went over to see Mirai Nagasu and . . . wow!. However, I will be back to watch Yuna Kim and Evgenia Medvedeva.

It never fails .This video always brings tears of joy reminding life is beautiful , but fleeting. To me , Piazzolla became one of the greats after the loss of his father -Adios Nonino and Oblivion is the book end . I am a better person listening to these gifts from the Maestro. 🙏

Honestly, the harmonica version did it for me. I appreciate all the others as well, but there is something about the clear sweet tones of the harmonica that seems to draw out the emotions the best. The accordian and violin are a close second.

The PRINCIPLE of this listing is superb, particularly for musicians and those passionately interested in music, melodies, harmonies, and performances. ALL are so different and fascinating to compare for those with music knowledge. Of course Piazzolla's composition is outstanding - but there are almost countless others in the jazz and classical fields which are performed in differing ways. The wonderful music of Bach and others was often re-interpreted, to great effect. The best became better than best sometimes!. The same melody with quite different harmonies and timings can result in magnificent journeys for listeners and players alike. So yes, same tune X 15 versions is a magic idea. Carry on !
