Lock lacing changed my game completely! An employee at the Running Room showed me and now the exact same pair of shoes that gave me horrible blisters on my heels every single time don't do it at all anymore. So awesome and easy to do. Thanks for these additional tips - I might try skipping a cross-over to see if that alleviates some pressure in other spots. Cheers!
Thank you! I had a printed chart of the high instep technique years ago, torn from a magazine, and lost it along the way. I was very happy to find your video, and am bringing the UA-cam URL for it to my Jazzercise class to share!
I wear pretty stiff leather converse allstar high tops when running which puts a lot of pressure on your foot when you move your ankle and the edges of the shoe is stiff and cuts into my ankles but I like them a lot so I don't want to get different running shoes because I don't like typical running shoes. to make them more comfortable I combined the wide - forefoot lacing, the high - instep lacing, and the lock lacing, now they feel great and don't cut into my ankle when I run, thanks for the tricks, now my ankle doesn't hurt and have a red line from where they cut into my ankle after I run

I use the heel lock all the time! Works great! Thanks for the info!
Great tips!!! I wish I would have known about this in the Marine Corps when I was still running a lot more.
Thank you for the information. You think I would have learned this fifty-years ago! GREAT information for a 4E wide foot.
Great video, very useful information. Thanks for posting
Great video I use the lock last works my heel perfectly
The video could have made use of a brighter coloured shoes and background given that the shoe lace was black. I could not see the lace at all
What shoes are those?. They are cool.
Great stuff man! Thanks for sharing!
when your feet slightly roll out what's best way to lace your running shoes?
What if the toe box is too big. How can I tighten up my toe on?
different angles would be nice so we can see how exactly to do it
We'll keep that in mind for future videos. Thanks for the feedback. - Chris
