Simple solution to for keeping your windshield wipers from icing up, put your defroster on, heat all the way, and air flow all the way. Crack your window (on both sides if needed) to circulate cool air so you don’t get too hot. Be safe!!
You're the best, always attentive to how much you care about your best friend. Stay safe in that weather, and consider getting winter boots to walk safely. You are the best, and you look great!
What a happy pup! Got to play on a beach and now play in the snow. Rubbing alcohol and a rag, out it on your wipers and pour some in your washer reservoir. Also if you can find the wipers that are covered with a rubber cover instead of the regular ones, they don’t build up as much ice
YESS Vlogmas babyy!! Let's goo! Cannot wait to watch all this content Nia!! Alsoo don't be super weird peeps don't go knocking on her truck if you see it, Especially at night when sleeping Truckers need the uninterrupted rest
Driving through snow just makes you a better driver cause you have to learn what speed works to give you the best traction. I’ve driven through 100s of snow storms in my life time and having snow tires and patience is the key to safety. ❤️U❤️
My son and his family live in Abilene, Kansas. They said that they got alot of snow, enough to go Sledding. Pom was filling his cheerios, playing in the snow. These types of random Vlogs are fun to watch. Stay safe out Nia. Peace ✌ and Love Girl ❤.
Don't feel bad nia I've been doing this for 34 years. I still am nervous on the first snow of the year. I just don't know how drivers are gonna drive. And you just gotta be cautious. So you're doing the right thing. I mean, just take your time if they don't like it. Let him go around you. Chances are if it's bad enough. You'll be impassing them in the ditch somewhere.
There's no excuse for these high speed multi vehicles pile up, seems to be all these 70 mph state's on the news, you hardly ever see that in Massachusetts at 65 speed limits
This is the clearest I’ve seen you on your video’s and I really approve of your look hair pulled back in to a beautiful ponytail o momma💜stay safe and safe travels
Enjoy the videos, You should be recognized , lot more winter to come shut down when you need to and be safe . If you stay in the snow the pup will love it . ✌🏽
When you come out the door of a rest area, look behind the door as well as you are walking out. A lot of assaults happen at rest areas. Truck stops too. I was OTR for 5 years and heard about the stories.
As far as with the wipers, use the 3 ft ice scrapper to knock that stuff off and I'd use a tornado road king fan to direct heat where you want to via windshield. Stay safe.
FYI put a little bit of rubbing alcohol in your wiper washer fluid container so it won't freeze in that weather. You will have to replace the wiper later on, but it helps you when you most need it.
These are the videos I love to watch. An insight into your day to day, hour to hour life on the road. The coffee runs, the dog walking, and when you go shopping. Plus more Pom Pom. ❤❤
Sometimes the yard guy when they park the trailers they will set the trailer down and pull out before the suspension is all the way deflated, try hooking up to your trailer, hook up the airlines and then release the trailer brakes and wait for the suspension to air up, that usually will take a lot of or all of the tension off the landing gear.
I saw one of your videos while you were cleaning your cabin. 1) Your cabin is bigger than studio apartment I use to live in while going to school. 2) You are really very clean lady. I would only clean my cabin twice a year. Just want to say, drive safe, God bless you
FYI….. the secret for the 579’s get yourself a set of heated wipers. If not then go with a 24” wiper blade on the drivers side and a 22” on the passenger side. That will help with the last 2’s from freezing. Keep that windshield pretty warm has well. Good luck safe travels 😎
Snow doesn't bother me, all the other people driving in it does 😂. Get some snow wipers so you don't have to keep getting out and cleaning them off. Stay safe and see you in the next one ❤️💯🤙
In my truck I can raise the fifth wheel, as well as lower, I’m a company driver for Tyson, I’ve thought about doing like you, and getting my own truck but the economy scared me off, next best thing is watching someone else live there dreams, very impressive
Keep your front defrost on max so the windshield stays hot and it’ll melt it better, crack a window so you don’t burn up, I’d also rain x or ceramic coat the windows so the snow and water roll off so you are using the wipers less. Hope this helps!
I know this vid is a few weeks old but I just wanted to that the Prime Drivers aren’t the ones that super extend the landing gear on the trailers, it’s the yard jockeys that do it not the drivers. I have a low profile fifth wheel and I’ve dropped a trailer and came back after it was loaded and noticed the landing gear was madd extended. And trust, no one touched my trailer but the yard jockeys.
Put the vent control to defrost only on high heat to keep the windshield hot, and wear insulated boots to help keep your feet warm. When the ice builds up on your wipers, you have to stop and knock it off or roll your window down and time it just right and hit the wiper with a tire thumper or just stay far enough south:)
Billy big riggers gotta show off how awfully strong they are and put the landing gear all the way into the ground. Congratulations Lou Ferrigno you did it!
Can you show us your GoPro equipment/accessories you have and how you have your mounts set up to hold the cameras. Your content and editing is really good, and you inspired me to finally buy a GoPro.
RRNia, why not invest in a hand-held hair dryer of sorts(batterie operated), with a good amount of heat. Then you may keep your hands warm and connections like the air hoses you were hammering. For your persistent sniffles try some Vicks NyQuil or BC Headache powder only when you turn in. In the case of the Vicks it'll put you to sleep at the wheel. Well Happy travels, you and Pom stay warm and safe in that 'Pete'.😊
During The Winter No Matter What Part Of The Country You're In Always Check Rd & Weather Conditions Before Heading Out You Rather Be Safe Than Sorry & Get You A Good Pair Of Winter Shoes So You Won't Bust Your Behind. Be Safe Out There
From a driver since '89' 3 wntr tips, don't trvl in packs when slick or any other time, lve an out. The higher the gear the less wheel spin. Don't use defroster unless foged up, it only melts snow hitting wndshld u get ice, keep wndshld cold use the htr, like what u do, keep on trking😊.
Hi Nia, I'm in Winnipeg Canada above North Dakota where we get nasty weather. We get slip on cleats for our shoes or boots up here. We get them at safety clothing, footwear stores. Maybe you can google them down where you are. Here's something that myself and other drivers I work with laughed our asses off at when our office told us this a few years ago. When it's real slippery and you don't have proper footwear, walk duck footed. Believe it or not, it works. Maybe other viewers of yours have heard of it. I hope this helps as you can get hurt quite bad when you slip. I've hurt my back a few times on ice. Be safe on the roads and take your time in bad weather. Good luck with everything.
The wiper blades use rubbing alcohol, the connections to the trailer you had to use the mallet on some other truckers talk about using WD40 when it is snowing or cold in general, you should be wearing a cap.
Helpful advice always call them when you get the load info and see what the drop dead time is then you can plan ahead that goes for cargill and national I use to load cargill regularly saves you from wasting time driving around there is also a casino there to park at regardless of if you gamble or not it’s better than the loves hope this helps
I cant help but love your tattoos but besides that i got to give a shout out to women like you because the biggest thing i noticed a lot more women comin into the trucking industry and thats good it shows the others they can do any job a man can do keep up the vids an good work cause were part of a big machine moving America hope to see ya on the road be safe driver.
Hi Nia good afternoon I hope your Friday is going awesome love your vlog. my beautiful Nia don’t forget to go buy some Timberland boots put a winter I don’t want you to fall when it snowing outside.
To stop ice buildup put some 70%-90% Alcohol put in your reservoir. Mix it with your windshield washer fluid. Then get you a spray bottle with half of windshield washer and the other half with alcohol. You spray this on your wiper’s to stop the ice buildup. Stay safe. You heard!!! Keep the rubber right side down. See you on the back hail

We carry lysol with us and spray everything before touching when using the shower, bathroom facilities! People are gross 😝
Driving through snow just makes you a better driver cause you have to learn what speed works to give you the best traction. I’ve driven through 100s of snow storms in my life time and having snow tires and patience is the key to safety. ❤️U❤️
What speed would you recommend when it starts cause I was doing 55 today
Your personality in this video is the best you ever done . Cracking jokes and the sarcasm is tooo funnyyy

Be safe out there great video you got heart of gold! Loved see you on tiktok live.

This is golden advice I was having trouble with that this past month

Drive safe and be careful out there Ms.Nia. 🔥💯👊
Timberlands are soooo comfy and are amazing
Love your energy and your videos ❤

For your windshield, put both sun visors down put defrost on, will help. Plus use washer fluid that will work for deicing.
The visors will help keep the heat from defrost on windshield
Good video and thanks for sharing! Remember: "Slow is smooth and smooth is fast". Be safe in the snow!

well done on snow driving! fyi, I often park at walmart as well where i can shop and clean myself in their rest rooms especially one at back of shop.

You are such an amazing woman....thanks for sharing your life on the road.
Thanks for the vlog beautiful Nia,i see Palm enjoys snow, safe travels 🤟.We just enjoy see u on your truck journey because you are very funny.
When ever there is snow I always get a cheese danish to go along with my black coffee, the best. Cheers !
Snow doesn't bother me, all the other people driving in it does 😂. Get some snow wipers so you don't have to keep getting out and cleaning them off. Stay safe and see you in the next one ❤️💯🤙
@jeffro8373, you got that right.
@@davepelfrey3958Palm had me rolling, he obviously loves the snow😂😂
I delivered in Olathe and shutdown in Emporia headed to Amarillo. Lots of rain and gusty last night. Winter driving is upon us 😅 Stay safe out 🚛💨🙏
Awesome vlog Nia keep up the amazing work 👍 and hope you have a blessed and safe day 🙏 always stay lit 😎🤘🔥
…..
They make wipers for winter driving that don't build up ice.😊
I'll keep that in mind if I need to head home. The snow white Christmas is here.
Amazing video, be safe out there. Hope you feel better
Thanks for sharing Nia, enjoyed it! If I may get you a beanie and keep your head warm in that cold weather.
In my truck I can raise the fifth wheel, as well as lower, I’m a company driver for Tyson, I’ve thought about doing like you, and getting my own truck but the economy scared me off, next best thing is watching someone else live there dreams, very impressive
For the wipers you gotta keep the defrost on blast max heat

Queen Nia ❤️ Be safe driving
Billy big riggers gotta show off how awfully strong they are and put the landing gear all the way into the ground. Congratulations Lou Ferrigno you did it!
Woot woot🎉
To prevent ice build up on your wipers, keep your windshield cold. Keep the defrost off.
Stay safe out there nice 🎥 keep the video going love to see them when they come out
I love watching your trucking videos on your UA-cam channel

Having a couple chocks to help slide tandems in winter time always helps.
Lock your service brake on trl when sliding tandems

To stop ice buildup put some 70%-90% Alcohol put in your reservoir. Mix it with your windshield washer fluid.
