Looking at it from a more positive perspective: Causes a crash, triggers a flight response, comes in time by senses (or due to passenger), and then takes some distance to cool off before going to talks. If they really wanted to get away, they would not just walk.
I'm not defending him but the passenger seems grown up enough to take her own desicion :) if she has 0 situational awareness that's not his fault. I actually blamed them both for not leaving the car quicker.

Sympathy is definitely limited for sure, but DC car has 2.3 seconds from Amber to Red, the 4WD turning right into DC had about .5 seconds, not even. Who’s at greater fault? The 4WD, could it have been avoided by DC driver, fuck yeah
He comments about the car before the 4wd. It was all the 4wd fault, he was half way through the intersection before the 4wd even got to the line to run the red. Could he have avoided it if he stopped at an amber light when he didn't have to, sure. He could of stayed home as well.
Could have put out a few other lights and signs. A lane change sign or a roadwork sign in that lane 100m before the truck would have probably avoided the accident altogether...
15:25 That camry was doing at least 100 in the 60 zone in the inside lane. If you watch it slowly, when the DC car turns in, the camry hasn't even passed the 4wd but is approaching it fast. Then you add in the time the skid goes for and the speed it was carrying when it hit it.
The amount of people in this who seem to not know what the brake pedal is for is terrifying. Also a lot of cammers at fault in this one, especially the guy at 16:40 tearing through that red.

thats not the problem at all. idiot countrys like america and australia are still not smart enough to place the lights in front of the junction instead after it. even when watching the video i feel surprised everytime when there is a car coming from left or right(only if i look at the light trying to see if it is red or green.). you know why? because you got your eyes allready after the junction to see if it is green or red. human are only able to focusing at one point. place the junction lights in front of it and crashes would go back in no time. as long as this is not fixed roundabouts would not help at all....maybe a bit. but the biggest problem is the bad placing from the lights.
Literally I was thinking about this the other day at a major roundabout and I've no clue how places that don't really use roundabouts don't constantly just have stand still traffic everywhere all the time?! One of the only times they swap back for lights in the UK is if one direction has a particularly long flow of cars coming from it compared to any other sides. You do often see cars upside down in the middle of a roundabout though 😂
There called intersections but the point still stands. Plenty* of deaths on these due to drivers trying to beat the red light. Even when your being a sensible driver your still at risk of getting rear ended by the price behind you trying to beat it.
@@lukesdewhurstYou call them intersections I call them junctions but the ones there are a + formation I would also call a cross roads because would you know it… the roads cross

Read St Rockingham WA, right outside the shopping centre. That road is straight for kilometres on end with many sets of lights 🙄 makes you wonder if they ran the light before that too as they are only about 300m apart
And not a local either - they'd know where and how fast you'd be able to take those corners without ending up down the embankment. IIRC, there's another set of bends some 30min up the road where a dip compresses your suspension... That's a fun corner if you don't back off before entering...

you could prevent a lot of accidents if the lights would be placed in front of the junction instead behind it. i never drove on american or aussie roads. but even when watching the video i miss the car coming from the side all the time because my eye is focusing on the streetlight after the junction. the attention is somehow behind the junction instead at the location of the real important things. in switzerland you pass the greenlight way before the junction. after passing the light you can pay full attention to the junction(traffic from left/right.) i allways ask myself how stupid it is to drive like this with the lights behind the junction.
@@kennythemeat If you cant read the road and the lights within a split second of approach, then you really shouldn't be driving. It's really not that hard. Putting lights before the junction as you say isn't going to stop homicidal maniacs running the lights.

thats not the problem at all. idiot countrys like america and australia are still not smart enough to place the lights in front of the junction instead after it.
even when watching the video i feel surprised everytime when there is a car coming from left or right(only if i look at the light trying to see if it is red or green.). you know why? because you got your eyes allready after the junction to see if it is green or red. human are only able to focusing at one point.
place the junction lights in front of it and crashes would go back in no time.
as long as this is not fixed roundabouts would not help at all....maybe a bit.
but the biggest problem is the bad placing from the lights.
