Kevin Crete has been blessed with a great driver like yourself and Tanya you are a wonderful copilot, as a Husband and Wife team you guys are amazing Love you guys Steven retired truck driver from Irwin Pennsylvania 😊😊😊😊
😂I love it! I'm so happy to call y'all two my friends. Y'all make me feel like I'm on top of the world! And, for that, I thank you. The channel is now called "Clydesdale Reefer Truckin" and still gettin folks from your channel. Thanks for that, too... As always, travel safely ✌🏼...❤
I enjoy my new gig. But watching you, a part of me misses being a truck driver. Has Kevin ever considered using an accordion folder for his run sheets? I carried one, put my run sheets in by the month, in chronological order. Kept my clip board from getting stuffed with forms. End of the year, take them all out, put in a sealed folder in the file cabinet at home, and start over again. It helped my stay organized.
It sounds like a "J.I.T." (just in time) load. Not too early and not too late. My company does that. So that they don't carry asset inventory to get taxed on (32:16).
The fifth wheel release on the Cascadia I was driving wouldn't release while the truck was in motion. We do Tosca trays ( black plastic) for Walmart. And, Bridgestone and Toyo tires all over the country.
I worked for a Nokian tire warehouse one winter season in northwest new england unloading container trucks and loading 53 footers. It was a brutal gig. Frozen hard rubber wedged into each other called the weave. Warm and pliable when loaded. When they arrived from the ports, they were frozen stiff and a bear to break free. Like working in refers all day. Mostly suv/truck tires. You're lucky you don't have to load the trailer! Enjoy your chocolate!!
@@TheJoyofTrucking Yes it was brutal. I was one of 2 Temps who stuck it out out of 5 or 6 that started at the beginning of the season and the last to be released. Every tire got a sticker(label). And when a tire got the wrong label there'd be 1 extra tire with a label that didn't match. Guess what was next. Yup! But not without some expletives.
Worked at a place making auto parts for auto manufacturers, parts were made for "jit's" " just in time" for production on the line. Eliminates warehouse needs.
Loved the chocolate eating ending.......SO CUTE❤❤❤. I do like chocolate. This snowy weekend I am trying those Brownie Brittle things. Pretty good but a bit sweet. I was planning on drinking some hot chocolate with some gelatin powder in it but the sugar in those Brownie wafer things got me totally satisfied for the craving. So no hot chocolate for me😅
I cant believe the GPS and Auto Trans LOL Geez does it get any simpler ? LOL No More Shifting 18 Gears lol and no more Map/Atlas lol of the Days when I Drove many many years ago.... I did OTR for All 48 States and Canada and Mexico

I honestly for chocolate love dark chocolate i do like the lind chocolate the bar and the round balls with creamy chocolate in middle i also grew up to Hersey kisses but only eat dark verison for health benfits i also put a candy dish in truck on the dash i had velcro it to so the candy dish wouldn't spill and if not candy it wother trail mix or mixed nuts or those flavored pretzels . I also keep note book write down everything i do did and i also dont trust computers as what if i type in everything i did and the computer failed to upload it correctly i also take extra steps on everything write it down take photos so i proof of everything that lowes distribution center is crazy busy and i seen more poeple drive across the yellow lines and get lectured by the people checking you in wesring safety vest
Kevin you going to be hauling a pregnant trailer lol. On a side note Kevin make sure the rivets are not popped on the wall of the trailer. Y'all be safe and have a great weekend
OMFG... Tanya made me lose my coffee right off the bat. Kevin wants to get his rocks off...ROFLMAO. I shot coffee out my nose halfway across the room. As a Retired Navy sailor. That made me lose it. Did you know that coffee burns shooting out your nose? I may be hanging it up as a driver soon as my medical certificate is close to expiring. My Next birthday in Nov may be my final day. I'm 60 now, 61 in Nov. It's starting too not be enjoyable anymore for me. My big reason is all the DOT changes, and attitudes of the new drivers out there.
😆😆😆😆☕️👃💥🔥🔥🔥…and yes…if you’re not enjoying it the majority of the time it’s time to get out. Life is too short. 🥰 November…Are you a Sagittarius? Kevin and I both are.
Let me get this straight you get in line to drop you punch in the numbers then you write those down on a little notebook then you transfer those to a legal pad and then you put it into a computer and the seal was intact. WOW Leave no stone unturned, You do realize that when you go to pick up a preloaded trailer and it's not there it means your dispatcher gave the load to someone else
Kevin the one time about the paperwork getting forgotten...... Did the company recognize you forgot to put in the paperwork or did the company totally forget about it and you found the bill under the bed or something?? I'm nowhere near as good as you are keeping up with all that on your Steno book
No! 😉Definitely not too old. Kevin was 59. We know lots of drivers in their 60’s. Met a driver the other day who was late 70’s!!! Depends on your health, not your age. 😃 Took Kevin a month and $4,000 at Phoenix Truck Driving Institute. Then a year at Werner, learning A LOT, and now with Crete earning good money! Getting paid to see the country. 👍 So…if it’s calling you…go for it!

😳😳😳Sounds terrible! Yes, glad we don’t have to do the unloading! Especially in the cold!
