fun fact them big rod rolls at the beginning is similar to what i work with when i was working at a fence factory i was the first line of production where we would put the big giant rod rolls on to a stand and cut the bands off and it'll do its thing and we find the top end and stick it to the side of the rool put the stand up and then after we take the top end on that stand and weld it to the bottom end the stand next to it that also had a big rod roll on it
The safest lane to drive in, especially in a big city, is ALWAYS the middle lane. Right lane will usually have lanes merging INTO it. Although rare, left lane(passing lane) can sometimes have lanes merging OUT as well. Rule of thumb is you don't want to be stuck in outer lanes due to traffic merging in/out and motorists not understanding how merge lanes work which usually causes sudden dead stops due to low brain cells. Middle lane = safe lane.
You really need to learn*"BRIDGE LAWS"* Or one of these days you will get a big fine! Its not hard. The length you're allowed for each state is right in the trucker atlas/Map book.! QUIT GUESSING if you're legal or not. Make a mark of some kind where 41 foot is on the trailer you have.🖋🖋 And if you have a window on the blind side on your sleeper, use it for blindside backups. If you have power mirrors. use it to adjust your passenger side mirror to see better while blindside backups.😁
Great videos you do but how long does it really take you to back in a dock door? You should always open doors and move tandem’s before backing to dock. Save tons of time
Are you ever going to make any videos with more driving along in an interesting place or with scenery? Maybe mountains, snow, foggy conditions. Every video is you backing up to deliver, backing up to pickup, and backing up to park for the night. It’s cool to see what goes on along the way too, and give us a break from the cautions.
You should get a Raycon sponsorship. They could hook you up with noise cancelling headphones so you don't have to fear reefers anymore, and all of your fans can get a discount. Win-win.
This trip was hilarious! Sure brought back memories. Wife and I drove a team for Werner back in the late 80's. Tractor 212. Way before all today's technology. Some of these GP deliveries seem no better than ones I've seen issued to Owner/Operators by brokers, poor info, bad locations, delays in loading....not sure working for a company like GP is any better than what the Owner/Operators go through with brokers, but at least they're making more money.
Some truckers told me since I’m working on my cdl is to learn how to read a map first, then if you use a gps, which almost everyone does, to only use it until you get into the city/town then switch to google maps because apparently that would be more accurate. I’m hoping to this but don’t you need another type of map because of clearances n stuff like that ?
Surprised you didn’t have you 4 ways on the whole trip lol
😂😂😂 He turns them on for everyone to beware. It works good for him in his video. Very original.👍🤣🤣🤣
9:44 that's a positive for me man, that noise make you sleep in no time
Hahahaha, as a 45yr trucking vet, your vids should be considered as "Everything you shouldn't do as a truck driver!"...❤
At this point he gotta be trolling, cause ain’t no way, ain’t no fucking way. 😭
Nope. He’s that dude. The one youd punch in the face on day one if you were teamed up with him.
@@FinnaRealtawk2323why?
@@liberalbias4462 For me, it's sitting in the bay saying that he can't park and close the doors....while stopped in the exact spot taking up more time than if he had just gotten out and closed the damn doors. The other truck was stopped. He wasn't in any danger.
Reefer unit, the sound of my people. I drove reefer for around 7 years, you get used to it, drowns out all the idling trucks, APU's, and general truck traffic.
That area around 19:00 is so beautiful! I'm from Denver and I'm considering checking out that place.
18:40 why didn't you tell them you had a delivery? They would have let you through!
Dude must be makin hella money off UA-cam. Cause he only works part time for GP, dispatcher asked to be there closer to 8 am and dudes like Naa I got til 5pm 😂 between that and his “mandatory” 34 every weekend 🤦🏼♂️
No doubt. He is parked more than driving
When you feel 8 hrs driving is a big day. I'd say utube money is the biggest part
@@jimmyjohnson1452 watched one last year he got hemmed up in Cheyenne due to road closures cause of snow, sit for a few days and left, went 80 miles road was closed drove 80 miles back, finally left and found himself on two lane along 80 totally snow covered because 80 was shut down again, he’s gonna get himself in a real bind worse than this video due to blindly following google
He is a good UA-camr, but a very bad truck driver. Just look at your suspension PSI if it is under 65 is ok.
I don't think he has any real big expenses, so no need to milk every second out of his 11/14
16:37. If anything, that cop would commend you for driving cautiously.
I'm surprised you don't use the trucker path app. Using the GPS on that you probably would have seen that all these roads had construction on them.
Work that requires personal drive, and mountain of patience. Well, done trucker. I enjoyed watching your experience. May God Bless
Downtown, Pennsylvania?
Exaggeration
Is freightliner working with benz because the new Actros L has has the same screens with the ones in dudes truck?
I don't get the title, is $17,000 supposed to be a small shipment? Most times the load will be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Based on the thumbnail, seems like he’s getting PAID 17k to deliver the load
Of course he means that the job costs 17k hence the video
@@nachumg8219Thank you, I didn't realize they got paid per job like that.
@@rahularora301 So he's not getting paid 17k?
No one is gonna pay a trucker $17k to deliver a 3/4 full trailer of rebar. That load probably banked his company 3-4k tops and he’s gonna make probably $800 max on the delivery. Product could be worth $17k though
Another great video!👍You’re almost to 1 million subscribers. You got this! Are you going to post another cooking video? I sure do enjoy the truck cooking videos you have done in the past.
The rule of 24hour clock vs 12hour clock. After 12 noon, just minis 12. 1700-12=5pm. 2300-12=11pm. 1500-12=3pm. Easy peasy, lol.
Hey I saw you on Fox & Friends this morning and watched my first video where you went into the woods. That was an old Moonshine village. Making Moonshine requires a water supply which is maybe the big pipe was for. As far as your truck about an hour from here is a Frieghtliner Plant so its a good chance it was made here. I hear they make really good money but it an assembly setup and hard work. Good luck my friend and thanks for your service as it were..
At 6:27 the trucker that was pulling out that u passed CRST I used to drive for them
15:50 GPS For Truck, or For Personal Vehicles ?
When You come up on Construction, and Your Destination is Part in The Construction Zone. Ask the Construction Workers what Alternate Path do they Have for You.
How many gopro you have on that truck i saw 1 on your hat 1 on the dash and 1 on the ouside mirror
Those coils are fun to strap down on a flatbed and to tarp in a t Gp now as well hauled some coils and some ingots last week
fun fact them big rod rolls at the beginning is similar to what i work with when i was working at a fence factory i was the first line of production where we would put the big giant rod rolls on to a stand and cut the bands off and it'll do its thing and we find the top end and stick it to the side of the rool put the stand up and then after we take the top end on that stand and weld it to the bottom end the stand next to it that also had a big rod roll on it
Get a Truck/RV specific GPS. There are Garmin and apps. They will not send you down bad roads.
What is your average miles for the week and how long do you stay out. One day looking at going to gp
I Applied at GP told me out 90 days than off a Week! No Thank you
Where exactly is downtown Pennsylvania?🤷
Does anyone know where Downtown Pennsylvania is located??? 🤔
...................just down the road from Uptown ! (sorry- couldn't help myself there ! )
It's supposed to be funny.
@@JTube571 perhaps he should focus on being proficient rather than comedic.
@@scottied67 maybe you should try to find your sense of humor after your next load.
@@JTube571 A woman jumped in front of my truck and un-alived herself, it was a barrel of laughs...
Alex why do u park next to another trucker when there’s sometimes 1,000 other empty spots open 😂?
Idiot don’t wanna park by himself. And then complain about the noise from the other truck
Giving off stand next to you in the urinal even though 10 are open vibes
I'm in WI at kreilkamp. I've seen a couple of gp at drop yard Today.
Wat engine is this truck using. And do u know how many horses
If you would plan your trips before starting you would save yourself alot of wasted time
Alex does not believe in the "pre-plan."
@@Matts_PresentationsI don't think he knows what that is. Not hating on the guy, but I get a cringe every time he drives
How exactly do you "pre-plan" for road construction?
@@JTube571You look at Google maps or other various other apps to view road construction and see if the road you need to take is closed.
@JTube571 It's called Department of Transportation website.
Im going through jobcore right now to get my cdl im hoping i can go and have a good time trucking
Girl you are awesome and I love your driving
That ain’t no girl and you know it
Stay safe out there, Alex! Thank you for doing what you do!!
Sould of took m21 east to wilder rd. North to bowers turn left to entrance ot bowers before roods lake rd.. my hometown
Great videos you do but how long does it really take you to back in a dock door? You should always open doors and move tandem’s before backing to dock. Save tons of time
Hey Alex have you ever been through Nashville Tennessee?
4:35 the speed limit is 25 so u better be at 25mph at that curve😂😂
I bet you a 1000 dollars that shit would fly through your trailer if you hit the breaks hard enough
Funny seeing all these dual axle trailers, they are almost all tri-axle trailers in Australia.
You should get a Raycon sponsorship. They could hook you up with noise cancelling headphones so you don't have to fear reefers anymore, and all of your fans can get a discount. Win-win.
Maybe something to block the flasher noise from videos also!
Don't fear the Reefer, c'mon baby...
It's music to my ears. Sounds like a Dry Van driver crying again.
This trip was hilarious! Sure brought back memories. Wife and I drove a team for Werner back in the late 80's. Tractor 212. Way before all today's technology.
I ALWAYS called the receiver and asked for specific directions to their location. Would do the same today. Google and Apple maps have taken me on many a wild-goose-chase in my 4 wheeler. Same in an 18 wheeler would not be fun.
Your channel is great. Keep it up!
Why didn’t you just ask the guys working on the road what way to go???come on Alex
His brain doesn’t think properly
Where in the heck is Downtown Pennsylvania?
Really obvious actually, just go to a random spot in the state of pennsylvania then keep going till you're in what looks like a "downtown" area and you'll be where he was😂
😂
About 5 miles north of Uptown, PA. 6 miles west of Westside. 7 miles east of East Side. Very confusing
Looked like Johnstown, PA to me.
😂😂😂😂😂
Hey, alex, make a cheese burger in your truck. Mix the meat with onions and garlic pieces. Trust me, its delicious and season it with weber flavor bomb burger seasoning or black pepper with salt. Love your vids and i also start my CDL training next week. Thanks for the uploads, youre doing great, but please do that cooking just this once!! ❤
Why not ASK the shipper if there is a CAT SCALE nearby?
Because ANYBODY can USE their PHONE to FIND one in LESS than a MINUTE.
How would they know??
When did people start thinking it was wrong to ask the shipper or receiver questions? Could have been a private scale they use close by.
Any certified scale and then ask for reimbursement
@@stephenadams5293I know when I was over the road, the instructions sent to me made it clear not to contact the shipper directly. A bit different than asking someone at the dock while getting unloaded, or getting checked in, but still.
I pull two 53 foot trailers and the fun i have with the bridge weight is a headache.
does the truck driver have to load that into the truck or do they do it for you?
Trucker Josh. what year is old blue?
Some of these GP deliveries seem no better than ones I've seen issued to Owner/Operators by brokers, poor info, bad locations, delays in loading....not sure working for a company like GP is any better than what the Owner/Operators go through with brokers, but at least they're making more money.
not the cop turning behind him when he turned left lmao. I saw it in his mirror. love your channel! makes me want to be a driver to!!!
Some truckers told me since I’m working on my cdl is to learn how to read a map first, then if you use a gps, which almost everyone does, to only use it until you get into the city/town then switch to google maps because apparently that would be more accurate. I don’t know how true it is but it seems helpful.
" I don’t know how true it is but it seems helpful." - That quote sums up more than half of all YT comments.
