- In this video I give the top 10 reasons why you should buy a foxbody mustang 5.0 immediately! Foxbody mustangs are gaining in value each and every day. The longer you put off purchasing a foxbody, the more you're going to have to pay! I also provide my personal opinion as to why I think the foxbody mustangs are gaining in both popularity and price.

I must agree with you! Buy now while you still can.. Love the video brother very well said 👌
Thx pal! That means a lot coming from a fella like yourself 🙏👍. Love your channel
Prices are already around $10k+ where I live and that is not even for the one's with low miles and in mint condition.
Yep, it’s happening everywhere
@@KASLCustoms Yah brother I have a vibrant red 93 cobra with really low miles.Then I have a 87 GT with T TOPS and a 92 lx.
@@KASLCustoms And the prices of 93 Rs and street versions will continue to rise in my opinion.
I bought a 1991 GT convertible in 1995, slapped a vortech on it and drove it daily till 2015 when I bought a new GT. Still runs great with original motor and Trans. My 15 year old son is now the proud owner.
Thats great! Keep them in the family
Didn't think of it as an investment when I was 21. The ladies loved this car in 1990, so I bought one! Well......maybe that was an investment. 31 years later, and they still love it!
Hahahaha - so true my friend!!! 👌👌👌
My lady supports my auto addiction but talks shit any chance at the fox. Jealous of the side chick I guess. Lol
@@billygoode4349 hahahahaha - I think you're right!
The ladies loved the car huh? Most women I knew couldn't tell one car from the next. I bought my Mustang to race the hell out of it and that I did. One night at our regular hangout I saw a couple of girls leaning on my LX. I walked over and asked them to please not lean on my car. They said "It's not your car, it's Debbie's car!" I asked "What kind of car does Debbie have?". "A Chevy Beretta" was the reply. I said "Well, you're leaning on a Ford Mustang!" That was very typical of the girls at our local cruise spot. They didn't care what king of car you had as long as is was shiny.
🤣🤣🤣 that’s awesome!! 👌
The whole is greater then the sum of the parts. Anyone that “hates” these cars, probably hasn’t ever driven one.
Amen brother!!!
A lot of problems with these cars, I had 3 back in the day, started in high school nothing but problems with Dippers (east Indians) stealing it all the time!!
I agree I've always been more on Chevy, and buddy of mine took me for a ride in his foxbody, didn't even have it tuned much, the torque changed me so much, I've had 600 hp Corvette and Camaro, but I'll never forget the way that felt it amazed me no lie I'm looking to get one now
No my dad had one (87) i remember sitting in it as a kid and he say the handling is shit and he said it was just a shit car but he grow up in the 70s with you know 442s 70 challengers yk really well made cars, always i love the way it looks but i just rather get a newer mustang like a 2011
I love these fox body over anything and ive never even drove one
You got me at "you know how well the emergency handle works against the seat" 😂 🤝
Hahahahaha amen brother 👊
It does work well, unless you get on the gas. Then the drink is in the back or tipped anyway. Lol
I drive my 89 everyday and people love it.
Yessss! I love it
Why isn’t your name 1989 then?
Sweet. I used to have an 89👍
Nice!
🙌😎
You left out my biggest reason for loving the 5.0 Fox…durability. As a light car with a full sized car in-line drive train, they are overbuilt compared to today’s approach of putting in components
that are sized to the exact platform. My 92 LX 5.0 convertible (owned since 1995), has over 300,000 miles on it and the engine has never been opened and doesn’t burn oil. Considering the mileage, I’ve done very little except routine maintenance. The list of replaced parts is fairly short. A radiator, 2 water pumps, one brake line, a rebuild of the infamous AOD transmission and I recently replaced the original convertible top. Except for the water pumps and brake line, all of these could have been deferred if I was willing to accept less than original performance. The car has been driven in all kinds of conditions and has lived outside for much of its life. Compared to all the other cars my family has owned, this is the low cost high reliability vehicle…..despite its 29-year age and 300K mileage. The number of vehicles you can own for 26 years, drive over a quarter of a million miles and then sell for more than you paid for it is a darn short list.
Very good point sir! I couldn’t agree more. I too have some stories of friends that put their foxbodys through hell and back and all of them are still ticking! 🙌
That’s good to hear.
My hats off to you sir , I thought I was the Mustang lover, I had a 71 Mach 1 they started making them in 69 and was the platform for the 350 and 500 GT mine had 351 Cleveland 3 speed manual T on the floor yes on the floor , talk about a hole shot , competition would already be shifting into 3 rd and I'm coming out of 1st put over 200 k on that beauty before selling
You got that right, no failure prone front wheel drive garbage drive train. I have had to endure 7 transmission rebuilds of supposedly "superior" front wheel drive vehicles. The "front wheel drive is superior" people insist that it is "my fault" that all these drivetrain failures occurred.
My 93 had close to 400k miles before my brother got it. Water pump, coolant hoses, timing cover gasket and a clutch were all that had to fix on it. And I beat it like it owed me money
I am very happy I bought my 1989 fox 5 years ago. It had the perfect shell so I had to buy it. Been slowly fixing it with a recent re-build. You are right. Parts are everywhere and easily accessible. Awesome video. SUBSCRIBED!
Thanks buddy! Congrats on the fox and welcome to the fox family!!!!!
My brother just bought a 1982. He's so obsessed with foxbodys. I'm here trying to better understand his admiration for these cars. After watching multiple review and restoration videos I'm beginning to see what he sees.
Lol - yes, they can take some warming up to but once you do, you might be hooked… 😁
I love your Mustang. The color is iconic. The most memorable Mustang is from the movie, "Menace to Society." It's green just like your but with Dayton wire wheels. This car blew our minds and started a movement. My friend had one I drove to impress a girl back in the 90's. I almost wrecked it due to power. Sis and I are on the hunt for one now. Great video.
Thank you very much!!! Yes, I couldn’t agree more. Good luck on your hunt 🤞
Just bought a 89 Vert 5.0 5spd with 124,000 km a year and a half ago that was hidden away in a guys garage for 8 + years. Got it running, drove it home ( old fuel, smoked a lot haha) and have been having fun with my 19 and 17 year old boys bring it back to it’s glory days. Best $1200 I have ever spent! Great channel, keep it up 👍
That’s awesome! I love that story. Those boys are going to have great memories of working on that fox with there pops!!! Thanks for the kinds words my friend and good luck with the car 👍👍👍
Great review. Beautiful car. Made me feel like just maybe the pain and agony of my 5 year project was worth it haha... I am currently in the process of painting my 92 Emerald GT Convertible. Love these cars it's great to see them getting appreciated.
hahaha - keep pushing buddy. The end is in sight!!! Thank you for the kind words and thanks for checking out the video!
Thank you for the cool fox video! I love hearing people talk about how special these cars really are. Love your car and it sounds great!🐺
Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it! And thank you for the compliments on the fox too!!!
My personal opinion. I love the fox bodies. The best looking mustangs period. My Uncle had an 87’ 5.0 and it was awesome.
Bought my 86 gt when I was 21. I still have the thing. I am now going on 56 yrs old. Listening to you makes me want to work on it some more. I love that hunter green on your car...the car is beautiful. Thanks again for the motivation
Well thanks for all of the kind words sir! I really appreciate it!!! Get out in that garage and let that beautiful 86 GT talk to you, you won’t regret it 😉. If you want a little more motivation, my newest video might help too 😁 ua-cam.com/video/M9bepaCvSyU/v-deo.html
My first car was a 1990 fox body with *88* horsepower. Yep! The 2.3L 4 cylinder w/ auto was a dog and I would have to floor it at stop lights to keep up with mini-vans.
Just purchased my 3rd fox a few months ago. 1992 "Summer Edition" 5.0 convertible. It was a limited offering from Ford and I could not be happier with it!
Hahaha the 4 cyl was an interesting little power plant 🤣👌
Glad to have stumbled across your channel. I’m in Kamloops, and share your sentiments exactly. Love your notch.
I’ve got an ‘86 5.0 hatch, which I did a full resto (zero rust car, so pretty easy) with a few engine/suspension/brake mods. Got heckled a bit for it back in 2012, but gaining a bit more respect for it these days. Cool to see more locals coming out of the woodwork.
That’s awesome! I would love to see it some time - especially being so close to eachother like we are 👍. Are you on Instagram at all? If so hit me up and maybe we can tag up this summer for a cruise.
@@KASLCustoms that’d be great! I’d have to see if my Instagram is still active. I’ll check and see. Watched your h/c/i vid, and our builds are very similar. AFR 165’s cobra upper/lower, 24’s, 3G, Maf and tune etc. Dealt with Shannon at wms too. Anyways- connect soon!👍
Oh right on!!! Yes please, look me up 👍
I have nothing but respect for you and your knowledge of the foxbody. Nice to see you kept this car well maintained through the years. I have a unmolested 1991 GT 5.0 I bought in 1994 and still have it today. I've owned the car 27 years and I'm 49 years old now. It's part of the family and that's where it's gonna remain. Our generation had/has huge respect for these cars since our youth. Simply put, the foxbody was the best bang for your buck.
Amen brother! I really appreciate your kind words. I am glad to hear the you have kept yours as well and that you have made a permanent spot for it within your family. We have done the same and have actually been going through the process of adding another. Here is the video I did on it: ua-cam.com/video/xXm-tbmuKwM/v-deo.html
@@KASLCustoms Good find sir and real nice buy. 👍 Very nice car that definitely found a real good home. Imo, the best place for it so it doesn't end up chopped up and abused. Good luck and enjoy it. I'll be watching this fox come to life.
Thx my friend!! That means a lot to me! I’m very excited to get this one!!
I just bought a fox body LX , off of a friend it was his mother's. She had passed away. 63,000kms only and its a 4 banger and solid
Your car is AWESOME AND THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO
Right on!!! Good for you bud and welcome to the 🦊 family!!! Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
ill never forget when i first bought my most recent one..90 lx 5.0 stick 25 years hatch......i stopped for gas and a wide eyed boy of about eight or 10 or so..walked over and said ...is that a foxbody mustang lol it was great!!!!
Hahaha that is awesome!!! You made my night 👍👍👍
Is that a Supra?
If you mean the 1/4 mile race, it’s a Nissan GTR
Then the kid said ... what a POS ...how do I know cause I was that kid
I just got my first fox body it's a 88 gt and it's my daily and I love it
right on! Congrats bud!!!
Glad I got my 92 back after having sold it 11 years prior. I did a full restoration on it, never to be sold again. 👍😎🇺🇸
Oh wow!!! That’s great - and very cool - that you found it again!!!
I recently snagged my childhood dream car an e39 M5 and am very happy with it. A 5.0 5 speed notch is another car I've always really wanted and I agree with everything you said here.
Thx buddy!!! That e39 is a sick car!!! Well done 👍
Fox body has been my dream car for years and yesterday I finally bought one! Words can’t even describe the feeling but I’m sure you all remember the day you got your first one. Got this recommended today and one of the first things he says is “get you a fox body yesterday” he was probably joking but this was true for me and has me even more excited for the journey!
Congrats my friend!!! I know exactly what you are talking about!! Please feel free to check out some of my other videos as I have lots of “how-tos” as I’m sure you may be looking to tweak a few things on your new fox! Also, welcome to the 🦊 family 👍
Mine sits in my driveway parked like a trophy facing the road. Foxes are therapy. Torque smiles for days. 🤣
And gas pumps.. no lie.. can’t stop at a store real quick ever. People just want to know all about these cars 🤘
Hahaha it’s so true!!!
Nice notch. Admirable you've kept yours that long. I was out of the fox game in 1995, got back in 4 years ago. And if it's my choice, I'm never leaving again.
Thank you very much!!! Glad to hear you joined the fox family again 👍💪
I have had my 92GT for almost 23 years, you are right about stopping for gas as it usually brings a few people along stopping to talk.
LOL yup, never fails!
Your car is beautiful!! Just subscribed. I bought a 86 GT back in 87, sold it in 2001. Was trying to find a replacement and decided to try and find my exact old car. Well, I searched and eventually found it in 2018 in Massachusetts, bought it back and it’s never going anywhere!!
Thank you sir!!! That’s an awesome story. I’m glad you found the old girl. Keep her safe!!!
Oh she’s babied and loved!! Has a 2003 Mach sister sitting right next to her!! 😆
Oh wow! That’s one heck of a garage!!! 💪
Never enough!! Lol
My dad had over a dozen foxbodys when I was younger. At 20 years old I bought my first fox last May, 89 GT 5.0 5spd with only 90k on the clock. Couldn’t be any happier with the purchase.
Good for you my friend! Like father like son 👏👍👌
Nice, low miles are rare for these cars.
Yes so true
I agree 100%. I am finally at the point where I was able to get one. It took a little while to find the one but I found a 1989 Saleen #723. It’s amazing.
That’s awesome!! Congrats bud and welcome to the 🦊 family!!
Great video. I have had the pleasure to own a couple of these and after selling my 88GT luv 13 years ago to take on fatherhood (again), I have finally got to a financial point where I could get another. You were right on with your idea of our generation, and financial alignment imo. Look forward to see more from you and shoot , talking Fox..... Keep safe , God bless
Thx for your kind words sir! And thank you for sharing! I’ve got a good one coming up - still working on the title but it will sound something like: how I found my foxbody 😉. Take care and god bless 🙏
You nailed it man!! Every single reason you had to buy a Fox is legit!! Your thoughts on why the sales and prices going up is spot on too. Us, people of their era were young kids drooling every time we would see one. Now in our 40's with stable jobs are able to actually afford to get one and hook it up. I got mine three years ago with that exact story. So glad I did. The value has gone up and I got it for a decent price. Thanks for sharing your fox experience brother!!!
Thank bud! I really appreciate the kind words. I tried my best to speak from the heart and it sounds like it worked 👍. Enjoy that fox!!!
dude real #1 reason they sound friggin awesome everybody our age know that sound
Well if you like the sound of a fox then your gonna love the video I’m working on right now 😉👍
True that. Nothing sounds like a Ford push rod motor with headers, off road h-pipe, and Flowmaster's.
Yessir! My new video is up: check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/M9bepaCvSyU/v-deo.html
Sob. Another temptation.
Lol
Great points man! I have my two 4 eyes that I'll hold close for a long time! I scooped up a super clean 85 GT roller this winter. Original jalapeno red paint, garage kept its whole life and in the same family since the early 90's! I'm really excited to coyote swap it!
Thx buddy!!! I’ve been watching your videos too and you have some great cars. It also seems like you don’t like to have a good time either 😉😆👊.
Man reminds me of the good days. I graduated in 2000 and I had the 89-1/2 built with a mild E303. Cam and you name the rest. Loved that car!!!!! My best friend still has his 93 cobra sitting in his garage that hasn’t been touched since 2004.
hahaha - I graduated in 1999 so I totally hear ya brother!!! Thanks for watching
Yes sir. I pulled mine outta the back yard (grave yard after sitting 3 yrs of course starting it now and then) and still performing like it should. Coffee holder is what I'm talking about. The emergency brake/seat holds it well. Keep it up brother.
Right on!! Thanks bud will do. I’ve got a good video coming up your going to like 😉👍
The Foxbody is the Generation X's muscle cars, as they ruled the streets back in the 80s to early 90s, that unmistakable 6 piece parking lights at night to the famous exhaust tone thats paired with a set of flowmaster 40 series lol, such nostalgia
I was born the 80s so I basically grew up around these cars along with the 3rd gen IROC-Z and Grand National, love them all.
You were on point with the getting gas bit, I have a 87 T-Top foxbody (93 cobra style tribute) and its a 100% guarantee that someone will talk to you or comment about your car lol.
Awesome ride btw, love it!
Thanks buddy! Very well said, I couldn't agree with you more!!!!
Man, your car is so clean! This video was sweet! Just got an ‘89 that’s definitely a bit of a project car, but I’m all for it. Growing up we had 2 foxes and an sn95 at the house!
Thank you very much! Right on - congrats on the car!!!
My brother and my father rebuilt an 89 foxbody. Welded a new roof on it, dropped a new engine in it. That was his first car in the late 2000's. Soon enough my brother built that car up and drifted it for years.
3 years ago he abandoned it. For a 91 fox from down south. Now im trying to rebuild whats left of this 89. Learning how to cut, weld, and how to fabricate on this car. Its been a massive learning experiance.
Wow that’s one heck of a great story!!! Keep it going as it will be worth it in the end!
After I saw the halo I subbed
ive got an 89 LX that i've owned since 09. love it, so easy to work on and a few engine mods can make you a TON more power.
Yessir agreed!
1st time viewer, born in 61 , I've owned and have ridden in just about every make of mustang Love them I own 3 the 2000 Cobra SVT is my favorite ,mustang owners you know what I'm talking about the rest of you , go get you one and find out
the only svt made in 2000 was the cobra r and there were only like 100 other than that the cobra was built in 99 and 01 then skipped to the most sought after mustang ever the terminator 03-04 cobra, I 40 and have owned atleast one of every year from 79-03 with a total of over 100 owned and of those I have owned 69 of them for over 6 months. My current one I have had the longest now and I have had it 5 years its the car I have wanted since they came out and it took me 12 years to get one and its my sonic blue 03 cobra with 57k miles and currently makes 746 horse at the rear tires and still has ice cold air and gets 20mpg. I will probably never sell it.
That Cobra!! It's basically a sleeper!! 12 quarter mile stock!! I was shook! Thought my Charger would destroy it. Nope!! 😲
Yep 👍
👍🏻 great points. Glad I have mine already. One thing you left off the list is the sweet music the exhaust plays. Probably the best sounding car in the world is a Fox with flowmasters lol.
Haha I agree my friend!!! More exhaust coming on the next one 👍
Really is one of the best sounding cars.
Amen to that!!!
Lol I’ll bet it’s loud 🤣👌
Agree 1000% got a 1988 5.0 LX convertible gifted to me from my grandfather and i would never get rid of it love it to death
Thats awesome!!! Make sure you keep it - what a great story to have!
I bought my 89 in January of 1995, and still have it today. Strangely enough, I too almost traded mine a year later for a yellow 95 GT. I had the paperwork all filled out, got approved from my bank, etc.... then went home to sleep on it. I ultimately decided to keep the Fox, and boy am I glad now.
hahaha too funny. Great minds think alike 😉
What’s wrong with the SN95 🧐
@@woodenyasayso3101 I like the Fox better and they are worth more.
@@89G I hear ya but my 94 convertible GT is one sweet ride. I’d love to have a notch too one day 🤷🏾♂️
Yeah that would be 👌👌👌
That Friday insert 😂😂DAMM!!🤣🤣
🤣😉👍
That thing is awesome , I'm just happy I can keep mine running lol, got mine in 95 from a salvage yard in bayside queens, rebuilt it with my dad now work on it with my kids
Thank you! That’s awesome, glad to hear you’re getting the kids into it. I do with mine too 👍
I had a 91 dark green GT that I bought new and man I loved that car. I still have a framed picture of it on my dresser. One of my biggest regrets was selling it in 2001. Well I found a 92 GT convertible in the same color scheme for $7k with 130k miles on it over the weekend and this video confirmed that I HAVE to buy it. Thanks!!!
That’s awesome!!! Congrats bud, don’t wait too long, jump on that fox!!! 🦊👍
Got a 1992 5.0 Mustang GT 5.0 bought it brand new it now has 32.000 original miles on it. Garaged it’s whole life. Love it.
That’s awesome!
I still have my 93’ Coupe. I owned it since 00’
Nice buddy! Keep it, you won’t regret it 👍
🙌
I bought my first 87 gt in 1990. I have owned 7 since. Now i have an 85 gt vert low miles and gets lots of smiles. By the way I'm 65 and a high percentage of comments I get are from Boomers like me! Love this channel!
That is awesome! Love hearing people’s stories!! Thank you for the kind words sir and thanks for watching my videos 🙏👍👌
I'm 35 been in love with these since I first seen them in the early 90s I was lucky enough to have one in high school sold it a few years later and now I want one more than ever
They are a very special car!
Yup! I agree! Found a super low mile 84 L fox in a rare desert tan, granny owned since new, and got it for my first car. getting very rare! And started my passion for these cars. I recently added to my collection and got an 86 convertible, now looking for a notchback! Amazing cars, worth it 100%
I couldn’t agree more 💯
I find it ironic that the Notchback was the less popular body style when these cars were new and now they’re becoming the more desirable car.
Very true. I couldn’t agree more!
It was all about the GT back in the day. Lol
Yup agreed!
I had a 87 GT in high school and bought a 90 last year. Great cars :)
Nice! Yes I agree
I daily drive my 93 gt lol. Own a 65 too. I get more people asking me to sell my 93 than my 65. U made alot of good points about the fox. Still my favorite car from my teenage years.
Yes!!! I love it. Thank you very much. Both are great cars but I hear ya, there is something about a 🦊 😉
I’ll keep my 2001 Bullitt Mustang with 18k miles original owner :) appreciating with cup holders stock haha great show love the 5.0 Fox
Still have my 92 sumer edition. Great cars, love the fox body!!
Nice!!! Me too
The colour of your car man, that’s gorgeous!!
Thanks bud. That is still the original paint from 1992 👍
What color code is it
@@calvincarter591 Color code PA
I still have my 1989 GT that I drove off the showroom in May of 89. Many modifications later, she’s still with me.
No kidding!? That’s unreal!!!
I just bout a 88 foxbody and it's not even running right now and I love it
Right on! Congrats and welcome to the fox family 🦊
I'm french and I've driving and working on Fox Mustangs since 2015, restored a 79 Ghia and daily drove a 79 notch until recently (i will again soon, just put Sn95 drivetrain in it). The daily driver experiznce was very good, smooth, comfortable, good handling. They are amazing cars for many reasons, but despised here. The style is too different from what people think a Mustang should look like. They are also quite rare, while 1st gen, 5th and 6th gen are relatively common here. I wish I could find a Capri but I think there are less than 20 in the whole Europe. I've only seen four online for sale since I got into these cars.
Wow that’s crazy! Would it be expensive to import one?
Haha and I remember sending off that little card in the 5.0 mags to order a subscription. Check the box of subscription you wanted and boom mag would show up
Hahahaha me too - the “good old days” 😉
I bought my 20th Anniversary GT 350 with the 5.0 new in April of 84 and love it to this day.
Oh wow!!! That’s awesome. I love hearing stories like this 👍👍👍
I agree. I bought mine about 2 months ago. Red and black convertible with 26k original miles. Love it!
Good for you sir! Welcome to the 🦊 family
I owned mine for 24 years. I think anyone that owns one will smile from ear to ear when they see how well foxbodies respond to mods. The small things may not seem significant like a K&N filter or adding a strut tower brace but the big changes will definitely. these cars were 0 to 60 around 6.5 sec and quarter mile of 15s stock. but the minute mods like 3.73 gears. heads cam, intake throttlebody headers cat back injectors underdrive pullies, maf meters and so forth came into play. now the car just got really quick real fast. now its 0 to jail in under 4 one last caveat. modding a foxbody is like eating lays potato chips you cant just eat one. it gets better with every mod.
😂😂😂 all so true and very well said 👍
I will never sell my foxbody my kids fight over who gets it when I die 😭🙏💪🦊🚗🔧🇺🇸
😂👊👊
I know this is old, but Holy fu$k well said brother 🤛
I'm 4o, we love these cars and guys like us ARE the reason these are cool!
Hahahaha so true!
I loved my 1988 GT 5spd & my sister did too right after driving mine. Her husband bought a 1994 Black GT 5spd off of the show room floor. It's still running with original motor and transmission, 1st clutch lasted over 150k miles. A/c, heat works. I sold my 1988 in 1995
That’s awesome!!
I personally love the FOXBODY. I am presently debating on selling mine but the value has already gone up like over 30% in just the last 7 months. Great video🔥
Have a great day 👋🏼
Me too and yes you are correct! Thank you very much for checking out my video!!! I have one I am editing right now that you're not going to want to miss....
Great video! The cam in your car sounds addictive!!
Thank you very much 🙏🙏👍👍.
Picked up a 88 gt right when covid hit. Exact color, interior and year i had in high school in the late 90's. Down to the ponys. Scored big time. Kid needed cash. 4500 is all I paid. Ok driver quality paint. 5 speed. Full exhaust, gt40 3 bars, unknown cam, explorer intake and a super low serial # rebuilt A-trim. 🤘🇺🇸
Wow that's one heck of a steal! Good on you sir!!!
That sound, that feel, that smell and the screams from the ladys. You cant beat em. Made all the Irocs jealous
Hahaha amen to that buddy!
Loved this vid and subbed. I bought my '90 LX hatch 5.0 in Jan. 1990 (yes, I am the original owner.) The car was built for me. I filled out a build sheet at the dealer, picked my colors and options. I thought that it might be a pretty good investment because I saw that nice 1970 Mustangs were selling for their original price in 1990. The body is all original including the 10-hole 15" rims, but I have added a KenneBell supercharger (8-9 psi), full 2 1/2" exhaust from the heads to the rear bumper and a full suspension (Eibach springs, Koni adjustables, Steeda sway bars, BBK control arms.) ...Also, very true, what you said about gas stations!
Wow that’s unreal!!! You don’t find too many original owners out there! Good for you! Totally, the gas stations in these cars is always a treat - it’s like hanging out with a celebrity 🤣👌
Had mine now for 33 years. Love the car now as much as first day out of the dealership. Plate sais 50grin. That said it all.
That is awesome! I love hearing stories like this. Nice plate too!!
Haha my tag said WUPLASH on my ‘85 GT painted Chrysler Conquest TSI Fiji blue. I miss it to this day.
That’s awesome!
My 90 fox was passed down to me from my dad who bought it new. Never giving it up. I'm gonna hoard them lol.
Man you are lucky
Thats awesome! Lucky Lucky!!! You won't regret keeping it ;-)
Just bought an 88 coupe factory 5 speed 5.0. It was a roller but all it needs it’s a bit of love. Still working on it but I’m glad I got 🥰
Congrats my friend!! Welcome to the 🦊 family 💪
Love to have a notch but they getting harder to find cheap. I got a GT and I’m happy with that
Yeah its true. Nothing wrong with a GT my friend! 🦊
I love your green Mustang with the chrome on it!! I wouldn’t have it any other way!!!!!
Thx buddy! Much appreciated 👍
Awesome video. You my friend have a beautiful notch! I just turned 38 and found my HS sweetheart (1990 lx vert) I'll be finalizing it this weekend. Talk about nostalgia
Thank you my friend! Congratulations on finding your car!!! I bet you're pumped - good luck getting any sleep tonight 😂👍
@@KASLCustoms haha ty! I'll try and make a video. Just subd' keep up the good content
Can’t wait to see it!!! Thx buddy 🙏🙏🙏
Alright I liked this video as soon as you mentioned the ebrake cup holder, I just smiled and liked when I heard that 😂
Hahahaha - those that know, know 😉👍
I received rediscovered my youth and got my old coupe back and it somehow multiplied into another one 🤷♂️ price is really going up that's no lie. I am totally surprised by how many people come to talk to me about my car too and kids go nuts over it. I dont get how kids love it, its so boxy but it is really cool to see.
You have a killer stang bro, tell us more about what exhaust setup you have and cam to get that sound
Thanks pal! I really appreciate the kind words. Also, congrats on getting back into the fox family. I couldn’t agree more, these cars are like frigging celebrities- lol.
The cam I have is a comp cam xe266hr and I have long tube bbk headers, bbk off-road h pipe, and flow master super 44 cat back 👍
@@KASLCustoms awesome thanks, i got 1 car down to its bits and painted and the motor just beggin for some candy, id love to have mine sound like yours when its done!! Keeps the vids comin👍
Right on! Good for you. I’m literally editing another fox video right now. Should be up shortly 👍
had a lot of fox body gt back in the day, 5.0 7up convert was my fav
That’s a very cool version. I love it too!
Your right, I’m 42 and doing well in my job as a a truck driver. Now I’m looking in gettting a 1993 mustang fox body and also looking to buy a 1993 gt convertible. Can’t wait to rebuild them.
Right on! Good for you my friend. I hope you can find both 🙏👍
When I took drivers Ed back in high school, late 80’s in okeechobee Fl. The school had purchased State Trooper 5.0’s for us to drive. Lol was awesome! I’ve wanted one ever since
Hahaha that is awesome!!!
Love my 92. Best car I have ever had. Quick, nimble, runs and looks great, so yeah. I prefer my coupe over the hatchback, but yeah. Wish I had a second one, right? Can never have too many Mustangs. Hopefully one day soon I can add another one. That will be awesome, right?
Absolutely!!!!
Also a ton of them are raced out. Still look good but damn what I would do to have that 1993 hatchback back. Damn
I've had mine for 9 years and love it! Needs a little work but no big deal, very fast car and fun to drive.
Right on! Make sure you keep her 🦊❤️👍
Gonna go with my dad to go look at one here in a couple days and hopefully buy it, I’m so excited. I’ve always wanted a fox body mustang 👌🏽🔥🔥
Right on!!! Good luck 👍
Every time I think about selling my 32k mile black notchback, I come on youtube and find more vids like this. Not going anywhere! haha
Wow no kidding - you have yourself a gem my friend! Well done!!
To me, the notch is the better looking ones by far.
It’s funny you say that because I was talking to another fella on here that said he remembered when the notch’s were the less sought after because everyone liked the look of the hatch/GT’s more (which I remember too). I think much of the reason why is because a lot of the 4cyl cars were notch’s... all that said, I love them all!! ❤️
Yes it’s true however we were just referring to the looks of the two models and how 20+ years ago, the vast majority of people I knew preferred the looks of the hatch/GT. That has all changed now
Nah i still prefer the GT .. had one in 05 for a few yrs . A 93 , full bolt on , cammed she sounded lovely!!👂💦🤤
Man now I need to go buy another fox!! Your gonna jacks up the prices even further with videos like this!!
hahahaha - I want to just follow you around and pick up your scraps because you seem to find the diamonds in the coal mine!!!
@@KASLCustoms I’m on the lookout for the next one now but it will be a project car.
Atta boy!!!!
My first fox was a 84 GT at the age of eighteen, not much could touch it where I lived! My second was a 91 coupe/ notch back, a lot of fun, but I couldn't keep my speeds down!
Anyway, love your car, it brings back so many good memories. My wife would kill me if I bought one now. Oh well, as long as I can still listen to them on youtube I will survive.
hahahahahaha - that is awesome! I will keep the 🦊 videos coming for you 😉. Thanks for sharing 👍
I like the fact that the Mustang community online is very close.. they're easy to work on.. I am not a mechanic or gearhead by any means... But there's so much information out there that you can figure it out.. so many people willing to help. I have a 92 Mustang GT... It doesn't run 11s or nothing.. but it'll always be badass..
Yessir! I couldn’t agree more. I absolutely love all the folks that reach out (like yourself!) and share their stories and/or seek and share advice. I’m very grateful to be part of this community with you and every other fox owner my friend!!! Thanks for reaching out 🙏👊
Bought my first fox in December. It's a notch and I love it. Black with red interior. Used to be a red 4 cyl, now a worked over 302 (306)
Right on! Welcome to the 🦊 family!
@@KASLCustoms thanks!
Favorite color combo right there 👍
@@94burb1 totally agree.
@@94burb1 thanks bud!
Gotta love a coupe. Had mine for 11 years now.
So true!!!
Honestly never been the biggest foxbody fan, but something about yours stands out above the rest. This is the best looking foxbody I've ever seen👍
Thanks buddy!
Just bought my first ford ever. All original 86 GT vert, 5 spd with AC. Really fun to drive! I’ve always had GTOs, chevelles and nova’s. This 86 has been the most fun to drive.
I love the 4 eyes probably because it was a hot car in high school…..similar to the iroc. Great videos.
Right on congratulations 🥳. Thank you very much!!!
I miss mine broke my heart when it got wrecked 💔😪.
That sucks!
Love the cars, my feet are too big for the pedals, with shoes on, i hit the brake and the clutch constantly.
Hahahahaha! I could see how that would be a problem 🤣👍
Love the notch back with the GT kit.
I’m now 39 years old. I never did like the fox body back in the early to late 90’s. As I got older into my early 30’s they grew on me. I now want a notch back.
Thank you 🙏👍💪
Love the video and I love my 91 GT convertible! Ive got a lot of love, money and time in her restoration! 95% I did myself!
Thank you! Right on - good for you. It’s very satisfying driving around in your own creation 👍
I'm gonna get a little more water and ammo first 🤔
🤟😎
Look up, "The Beowolf 50 cal." It comes in a pistol.
