It has two jewels in its ears which gives it extreme power and the Fairy typing. Stands like a Chalicothere but is comfortable on walking/running in quadrupedal motion. *I made a Fakemon based off with this*
This is a... weird complaint. The most recent dragon/flying type we've had was Noivern (Gen 6) and before that was Gen 3. There are only 5 fully evolved dragon/flying types in existence and they're spread across only 3 generations. Surely there was a more prominent typing you could have put there.
For the poison steel type I’d make a new form of toxapex. One who has left the water so had to become even more bulky to survive attacks from bird Pokémon.
While Fairy-type has often been used as the "cute type", I'd rather think of Fairy as being the "magic type". So for me a Fairy-Fighting mix would be a humanoid Pokemon that uses magic to imbue its fists and feet with more power than what is possible through martial prowess alone. It could even learn a few signature Fairy-type punch & kick moves, which would be very fitting as Fairy-Type moves are super-effective against regular fighting types. Think along the lines of Gallade but a rather than using psychic abilities to get the upper-hand over regular fighters it would use magic.
If that would be the case, I think an ability that fits it is the ability to interchange attack damage type, like maybe, a special attack damaging move would become a physical one and vice versa
I actually usually think the same thing as well, fairy seems more "ancient magic" than "cute" since cute itself shouldn't be dragonslayer, whereas ancient magic very well should. same with the steel weakness, swords being effective against cute doesn't make much sense whereas swords being effective against ancient magic is a trope used in an absolute ton of media lol
Keep in mind that the origin of Fairies was the Fey, which encapsulated a wide variety of semi horrific entities such as changelings that were just kind of... not of this world. Alien and inhumanly beautiful but easily capable of stealing or killing someone
For grass and electric, my thought would be mycelium, aka the underground part of fungi. It has been described as an organic Internet, forms symbiotic relationships with surrounding flora and has been proven to be a great brick substitute when dried and compressed. @@richraichu1370 That would be perfect. Since Cubchoo always has a cold, it could develop some sort of infection that causes it to gain the poison type.

I was so dispapointed when they missed the ocasion to make a fire and fairy type with Galar Ponyta and made it a boring and already seen fairy and psychic type.
I've had a cool idea for a Ghost/Normal type Pokemon for a few years now: A Thylacine. Also known as a Tasmanian tiger or Tasmanian wolf. I even have a good backstory: They were originally pure Normal type and pretty common until they were hunted to near extinction. They evolved the Ghost type and became more elusive to survive and basically became cryptids. I based it off of modern-day sightings of the supposedly extinct thylacine.
A lot of the unused fairy type combinations would most usually resemble something from a fairytale. At least thats what i think. So a introducing them would probably be best in a region with a history of fairytales. Like Germany with their Broedrene grimm.
I would like to see a goblin/ogre fairy/ground-type. I know folks will say Impidimp and company were goblins, but I argue they're more like kid-friendly devils, what with the witchy hair weapons and horned nose. No, I want a good old fashion mud-flinging goblin that can also use Bone Club and Bonemerang.
I loved the one design for a “sickness“ evolution line, where a poison type with a cold can evolve to have feaver or chills, thus gaining the fire or ice typing.
@@tobiasgund8048 i thought of that thing where you would constrantly switch from cold to hot (while sick) and it always switches if someone tries to combat one of the two: Burning up? Have a cool compress on the face, but WAIT, now you are instantly flush with cold sweat and vice versa on constant repeat. Oh! How about a new ability, called something like "Anticipate"? The 'mon switches its type depending on the incoming attack. If it is fire right now an the enemy uses a water move you switch to ice and if they use fighting afterwards they switch back to fire...
6:22 Actually, for the spider-monkey idea, there is a species that could make that work: the feather-legged assassin bug, whose scientific name is Ptilocnemus lemur. The design would be primarily based on the bug, but it would be given aspects of lemurs (despite the species of bug being native to Australia).
I hope when Gamefreak does finally use these type combinations they think outside the box a little. 2 of my favorite ideas that I came up with are: Normal/Ghost: A possum that "plays dead" with Comatose as an ability. A lot of potential for tankiness with 3 immunities and resistance to statuses. Ground/Fighting: A dingo with focus on kicking moves and sandstorm use. Probably the standard Sand Rush/Veil abilities, and a design that looks like a more wild version of Midday Lycanrock.
Came back to this one just to listen to the Ghost/Normal combination now when it's official that Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Zoroark is gonna be Normal/Ghost
I've had another idea to bring up: How about the three starter Types all being represented as different combinations of a trio of starters? Fire/Grass, Water/Fire and Grass/Water would be a very interesting and innovative Trio of Starters, wouldn't it?^^
@@arthurthekyogre9155 how come? Instead super effective moves, now you'd have super effective defence. The type-combo probably wouldn't come about until a 2nd or 3rd stage evolution. It'd have to keep initial typing so it could still "teach" the rock paper scissors aspect during the tutorial.
@@JadeMythriil oh yeah makes sense, since antlions live in the sand, and vibrava looks a LOT like an antlion, more than a dragonfly. But anyway, what is trapinch? It looks like an entire different animal.
The best part about really defensive poison combos is that direct attacking isn't necessarily the main goal of poison types. A poison steel type could with (toxic or maybe baneful bunker), (cosmic power or iron defense or minimize), (rest or recover) and (ground type attack) or something similar, would be pretty strong.
Ooh i like where this is going... IMO a poison/steel type could also be a rusty zeppelin filled with volatile gasses and having the levitate ability to combat that quad groung weakness... otherwise make it a tank with lots of life and give it a new selfsacrifice move that bases the damage on Life Points lost prior to the move...
alex s Its intresting when you think about it because if its rusty it should techically have low defenses but it could balance out with all those resistances
Terrible attacking type though. The normal part might help with coverage as they usually have a good movepool. I'd say slap Protean ability to it to make it better.
I made a normal\steel type as a possum with metal pieces sticking out of it's back. It could also be creative liberties with idk a metal pouch or something
I'd most like to see Ice/Poison and Electric/Fighting. Also, there's a handful of cool combinations that are exclusive to legendaries/mythicals/UBs and so for most in-game purposes might as well be unused. Of those, I'd most like to see Rock/Poison and Ice/Dragon.
I'd probably base Electric/Fighting on the Flash or something. A high-speed mixed attacker (with crappy defense but hopefully not as crappy as Pheromosa). Maybe somewhat based on the king cheetah, too, with the cool stripes it has.
we got the ghost normal type in hisuen zorua and her evolution , so nice to see some of the types here are getting covered and we got galarian slowking for Poison Psychic

Here's my ideas, for what they're worth: *Ground/Fighting: Please give us a kangaroo Pokémon, Gamefreak! *Fire/Ice: Expanding on the giant idea, something with a general Viking vibe? Norse mythology has it that the world was created by the collision of fire and ice. Fire/Grass: There are certain plants that can only spread their seeds if their cones/hulls are popped open by the heat of a forest fire. A Pokémon with that concept would be cool. Fire/Electric: Perhaps a living generator that burns fuel to create electricity? Fairy/Fire: An alternate evolution for Vulpix, maybe? Or a will-o-the-wisp? ...That's what I've got for now.
For Fairy/Fighting, I could just imagine the quote "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" being a good starting point, though it would probably be better for a bug type.
Zeraora kinda gives me an Electric/Dark vibe, but yeah I remember for the longest time I assumed Electivire was Electric/Fighting. Missed opportunity imo
@@jgr7487 Yeah, there are several moves that could easily be dual typed, but Game Freak for some reason only wants to use that gimmick for Flying Press.
22:40 even better: make it learn "Magnet Rise" with levelup and give it the "Thick Fat" ability -> Immune to Ground, 4x resist to ice and normal to fire
7:27 that is a good idea! But it reminds me of what somebody said that the reason galarian ponyta isn't a fairy type is because unicorns are associated with healing and fairy is weak to poison, but psychic is strong against it.
I've actually thought about several of these and have come up with several ideas that I've liked: Dragon/Fairy: Something with a similar feel to Altaria would be either a peacock (which I've seen mentioned) but also a quetzal, a bird with ridiculous plumage that looks vaguely dragon-like Normal/Ghost: Mannequins. Seriously, it seems really obvious, but haunted mannequins! Normal/Ice: Moose. 110% gotta be a moose. Bigass megafauna with ice antlers. Fire/Fairy or Ground/Fairy: What could work here is a coyote. It has a mythological basis with coyote being a well meaning trickster, and depending on the emphasis it's tendency to be desert dwelling can be tied to Ground or Fire. Grass/Fire: Two ideas that could work beyond just burning bush or pepper are Eucalyptus (a tree known for flammability or exploding) or several of the plants native to California that *need* fire to germinate their seeds.
I've always envision Fairy/Fire as a pseudo-legendary line of Angels going from an angel to a cherubim and to a Seraphim who are all associated with fire. As for psychic/poison type... ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.
20:31 actually there's already a "poisonous mammal" in real life a member of the Lemur family, called: Slow Loris the only living mammal alive known to naturally produce poison from its mouth
@@thedragonwarrior5861 yeah i remember first learned that fact on Phineas and Ferb but i see a platapus as a water normal (proto poison) type, more often then i see them as normal poison (proto water) types
Venom. In a way, with how filthy their mouths are, foxes could be considered to have a poisonous bite. Cat claws are very similar. When a cat lays its claws into something, microscopic pieces of its claws are left behind to cause extra discomfort. While neither of these are venomous they could still be considered poisonous.

Just imagine a regional blastoise that's steel and poison He gets metal plating all over his body, and poison oozes out of his cannons That would be so sick
I've actually come up with concepts for a lot of these, having come up with a whole two regions' worth of new Fakemon: Ground/Fighting - A cassowary, a notoriously dangerous flightless bird. It becomes Dragon Fighting when it evolves Ground/Fairy - A dustbunny, kind of inspired by the soot sprites in My Neighbour Totoro Bug/Dark - A gypsy moth, an early-game bug based on the notoriously destructive moth Bug/Dragon - A kind of hybrid of a dragonfly and the legendary dragon Vritra, who stole all the world's water, referencing dragonflies' waterway habitats Bug/Normal - A honey badger with hives of insect drones in its fur, similar gimmick to Vespiquen Dragon/Fairy - A sphinx, being a powerful mystical creature of great wisdom, magic and savagery Electric/Grass - A calendula, or marigold flower, crossed with a satellite laser weapon. Also a minor pun of Marigold rubber gloves, which resist electricity Electric/Fire - A chinchilla, its thick fur charging static while keeping an internal fire going. Alternatively, a minotaur starter themed on chemical reaction and lab equipment Electric/Fighting - A kangaroo, for that 'lightning-fast boxer' motif Fire/Fairy - An angel legendary, themed on seraphim Fire/Grass - A burning Wicker Man effigy. Doesn't like bees. Pokemon Sage notably has chilli pepper jackalopes Fire/Ice - An abstract sorcerer-y thing representing the concepts of internal energy and entropy. It could draw heat from its surroundings (Ice) or release that energy (Fire) Ghost/Normal - A Schrodinger's Cat that can flip its state to change its playstyle. Kinda like if the genders of Meowstic were one Pokemon Ghost/Rock - An ushabti (Egyptian funerary statue) themed on Anubis. Also, a slightly weirder one, a fossil Pokemon that's kind of like a virus that represents the process of fossilisation itself (I had the idea that it had an attack that made Pokemon into Fossils like Cofagrigus' Mummy, then got stronger the more Fossil Pokemon there were in battle) Ice/Normal - An early-game rodent based on the arctic lemming. In reference to the games, it made an excellent HM mule (at least, before HMs stopped being a thing) Normal/Rock - A fossil Pokemon based on prehistoric apes and Hominids. I figured it would have an Ability to help it understand man-made items like Potions, expanding its held item potential Normal/Steel - A sheep. Specifically, its dual type works its way from Ground to Rock to Steel as its fleece hardens, becoming more like Kevlar by the end Poison/Psychic - A legendary Pokemon kind of based on lycanthropy? The inspiration was Vicar Amelia from Bloodborne. More of a focus on physical moves like Psychic Fangs and Zen Headbutt Poison/Steel - A sea urchin. Not sure what more needs to be said here. I've seen more than a few themed on radioactive waste though Funnily enough, I did also come up with a capybara Pikaclone, but it was part-steel with copper wire for fur and themed on batteries
Idk, I think the seraphim pokemon would be Dragon/Fire if anything since it's been noted to also be very draconic in appearance. Though I like the idea of an angel getting fairy/fire maybe that could work for something else. Throne is the first thing that comes to mind but that's mostly just because it's a weird looking flaming wheel with eyes all over it. The weirdness could explain the fairy type at least.
I've actually seen that idea used in Fakemon, but for Electric/Poison (due to its natural acidity). But since we have Toxtricity now we can go with your idea...
Steel is my favourite type, closely followed by poison... I've been waiting years for a pokemon with both! Eternatus was a step in the right direction, since dragon is great as well in my eyes, but imagine! The defences of a steel type with the Statuses/Debuffs of poison! Man I'd love that
Steel/Poison would basically be the god of stallout typings. Doesn't die and gets harder to kill/does DOT/debuffs every turn. Toxic Venom drench Spikes/Poison Spikes/Sharp Steel Harden/steel defense/coil Or some combination of those looks like a moveset that might see some use. Edit: just realized a Mon with that kinda moveset would basically neuter physical focused pokemon that couldn't attack its weaknesses.
You did somewhat guess the concept of an electric/fighting pokemon with Pawmi, a pikaclone, that actually evolves. Only part you got wrong was that it wasn't a capybara
Here are a few designs I thought of for certain typings: Bug/Dark: I think a cool design for this type would be a Black Widow sort of Pokemon. So a large spider, perhaps with some kind of defining feature such as claws, fangs, or webbing. Bug/Dragon: There is actually a moth called the Dragon Moth, and it looks sick. I think it could make an amazing looking Pokemon, maybe even a pseudo-legendary. Bug/Normal: An ant could fit into this nicely, as it is one of the most common insects. To make it more interesting, it could start as a regular sort of ant soldier, and then evolve into a queen ant, similarly to Combee and Vespiquen. Electric/Grass: This Pokemon would be very hard to pull off a nice design with, but I think if there were some sort of flowery Pokemon like Vileplume that had solar panel styled petals, then that would make a very great Electric Grass type. Fairy/Fighting: I think that a Pokemon similar to Hitmonchan would fit, but instead of boxing, this Pokemon would fight using Capoeira (A Brazilian martial art that implements dancing elements). Fairy/Fire: Since Fairy types are usually connected to mythology in some way, I think that a Lampad (nymphs of the Underworld) or some other kind of fire nymph could work very well for this typing. Fire/Ice: I think a Crested Penguin with it's large eyebrows made out of fire would be an amazing Pokemon for this typing. Also, although a penguin is a bird, it is flightless, so it couldn't be flying type. Ghost/Normal: There are two good possibilities that I could think of for this typing. 1. A basic ghost that is just a white sheet with eye holes. 2. A haunted magic 8-ball toy. For the second one, I'd want it to have the move metronome, as magic 8 ball toys randomly choose responses. Ice/Poison: A great design I thought of for this typing is an arctic narwhal whose horn is a poisonous needle. It's kind of simplistic, but I think it'd be very nice to see. Normal/Steel: Elephant with a gun/turret for the trunk. It'd be so cool. Poison/Fairy: Alright, so I know that this was only brought up just for a gag, and that Galarian Weezing is this typing, but I still wanted to design one. So since Fairy types are often mythological, I think a Lavellan would work great for this. I don't know too much about them, but they're basically just large poisonous rat that was believed to poison small rodents to death before eating them.
GJERocks For electric grass you could go with a lawnmower and you could get electric fire too with an oven. I’m not gonna lie I stopped paying attention after he mentioned those as unused types. It really kills the credibility when one of the most common Pokémon in competitive battling is forgotten to have existed.
I love the idea of getting a luna moth for a dark bug and a more mystical looking dragonfly for dragon bug. Or even a dragon bug that starts off as very wimpy looking and evolves into a much more elegant, regal looking fairy dragon based off of the wings, build, and coloring getting slight changes.
A few easy solutions: - Zeraora becomes Electric/Fighting like everyone thought it would be - Cofagrigus becomes Ground/Ghost and Runerigus takes Rock/Ghost - Poipole and Naganadel become Poison/Steel

Eh, I think psychic is typically the magic type. Fairy has a more whimsical connotation.

Fire/Electric: Perhaps a living generator that burns fuel to create electricity?
Fairy/Fire: An alternate evolution for Vulpix, maybe? Or a will-o-the-wisp?
...That's what I've got for now.

I've actually come up with concepts for a lot of these, having come up with a whole two regions' worth of new Fakemon:
Ground/Fighting - A cassowary, a notoriously dangerous flightless bird. It becomes Dragon Fighting when it evolves
Ground/Fairy - A dustbunny, kind of inspired by the soot sprites in My Neighbour Totoro
Bug/Dark - A gypsy moth, an early-game bug based on the notoriously destructive moth
Bug/Dragon - A kind of hybrid of a dragonfly and the legendary dragon Vritra, who stole all the world's water, referencing dragonflies' waterway habitats
Bug/Normal - A honey badger with hives of insect drones in its fur, similar gimmick to Vespiquen
Dragon/Fairy - A sphinx, being a powerful mystical creature of great wisdom, magic and savagery
Electric/Grass - A calendula, or marigold flower, crossed with a satellite laser weapon. Also a minor pun of Marigold rubber gloves, which resist electricity
Electric/Fire - A chinchilla, its thick fur charging static while keeping an internal fire going. Alternatively, a minotaur starter themed on chemical reaction and lab equipment
Electric/Fighting - A kangaroo, for that 'lightning-fast boxer' motif
Fire/Fairy - An angel legendary, themed on seraphim
Fire/Grass - A burning Wicker Man effigy. Doesn't like bees. Pokemon Sage notably has chilli pepper jackalopes
Fire/Ice - An abstract sorcerer-y thing representing the concepts of internal energy and entropy. It could draw heat from its surroundings (Ice) or release that energy (Fire)
Ghost/Normal - A Schrodinger's Cat that can flip its state to change its playstyle. Kinda like if the genders of Meowstic were one Pokemon
Ghost/Rock - An ushabti (Egyptian funerary statue) themed on Anubis. Also, a slightly weirder one, a fossil Pokemon that's kind of like a virus that represents the process of fossilisation itself (I had the idea that it had an attack that made Pokemon into Fossils like Cofagrigus' Mummy, then got stronger the more Fossil Pokemon there were in battle)
Ice/Normal - An early-game rodent based on the arctic lemming. In reference to the games, it made an excellent HM mule (at least, before HMs stopped being a thing)
Normal/Rock - A fossil Pokemon based on prehistoric apes and Hominids. I figured it would have an Ability to help it understand man-made items like Potions, expanding its held item potential
Normal/Steel - A sheep. Specifically, its dual type works its way from Ground to Rock to Steel as its fleece hardens, becoming more like Kevlar by the end
Poison/Psychic - A legendary Pokemon kind of based on lycanthropy? The inspiration was Vicar Amelia from Bloodborne. More of a focus on physical moves like Psychic Fangs and Zen Headbutt
Poison/Steel - A sea urchin. Not sure what more needs to be said here. I've seen more than a few themed on radioactive waste though
Funnily enough, I did also come up with a capybara Pikaclone, but it was part-steel with copper wire for fur and themed on batteries
Weren't lemons able to be used as a battery? There, an idea for a grass/electric Pokemon
I've actually seen that idea used in Fakemon, but for Electric/Poison (due to its natural acidity). But since we have Toxtricity now we can go with your idea...

There's a really great Fakemon idea for a grass-electric type I found based on a stinging nettle:

I kind of like the idea of electric mushrooms since we get a new fungus Pokemon every odd-numbered generation.
If they ever do a regional Pikachu, Electric Fighting would be rad.
So who would win between it, Togedemaru and Dedenne?
As a fan of both Pokemon and Digimon I like the fact that you used Digimons as examples for these typings and really good examples too.
I was just thinking about this and started designing Fakemon for these types
Awesome! Can't wait to see when it's done.

Steel/Poison would basically be the god of stallout typings.
Doesn't die and gets harder to kill/does DOT/debuffs every turn.
Toxic
Venom drench
Spikes/Poison Spikes/Sharp Steel
Harden/steel defense/coil

You did somewhat guess the concept of an electric/fighting pokemon with Pawmi, a pikaclone, that actually evolves. Only part you got wrong was that it wasn't a capybara
Here are a few designs I thought of for certain typings:
Bug/Dark: I think a cool design for this type would be a Black Widow sort of Pokemon.
@@ryanrapp1158 rotom exists now and dark/fairy would be cool like a malovent fairy/(fey)
Did I just see a dragon prince screenshot there?
You, sir, gained my support.
A few easy solutions:
- Zeraora becomes Electric/Fighting like everyone thought it would be
- Cofagrigus becomes Ground/Ghost and Runerigus takes Rock/Ghost
- Poipole and Naganadel become Poison/Steel
A poison dart frog would really fit the physic/poison typing.
As would Kaa, from the Jungle Book

Any chance of an updated video on the types that have now been filled, and compare your ideas to what actually happened…??
A metal snake with large poison dripped fangs and tail could be a really cool poison steel type Pokemon.
Poison/Steel type could be a snail made out of mercury, or some other poisonous metal.
It's a crime Melmetal isn't Steel/Poison.
Or a drug needle
PMDLord And it could evolve just like Slugma and get a Trashcan as its shell (it could evolve just in cities or smth like that)
@@Victor-ju5rv Yes, that would be a cool Idea
An electric fire pokemon can be based on a saber tooth tiger, that would be cool to see
Bug and dragon
I immidiately thought of a dragonfly
Too late yanma and yanmega
