I thought verde would be the clear winner in this one, however in my opinion valo comes out on top with the win. I Like the 3 comparisons in the spot light. Winter scenarios would be a good add as well. Would like to see first lite with their 3 patterns, specter, fusion and cipher. A sitka comparison would be good too.
Thanks, I have improved since then with my representation. I am currently working on a new version of deer vision based on a research released back in 2014 that determined deer's true color spectrum. Hopefully this will be available by the time fall hunting season hits full swing.
Did you see the new one? Valo Vs Verde Vs Vias Updated Battle of Kuiu 24 Simulated Backgrounds w/ Deer Vision Camo Matrix ua-cam.com/video/M9wFwZruJVA/v-deo.html
Everyone thinks Valor is best because of the color, but if you just look at the human shape without focusing, the verde makes it all broke up looking, like hard to see a human shape.
I agree that bigger more contrasting colors break up your shape like verde. I am also starting to feel like even bigger shapes would be even better. Very large dark and very large light. At least double the current trend in macro patterns
KUIU needs to change the VERDE colors, not the design pattern. I got the VALO pattern B/C of its predominate browns. Browns are found everywhere in nature. You may be in a green forest but the forest FLOOR (where you are) is brown.
@@ericb.4358I agree, most of my stuff is verde and the pattern blends well but I think if the black in the pattern they went with 50/50 black/brown, and the areas that are light green with khaki spots they went light brown with khaki spots, and kept the dark green and gray as is, it would be on the money. I ordered a few items in valo, going to try mix-matching valo and verde to see how that looks.
I bought Verde before valo was an option but wow looking at this valo works. I was questioning Verde for a while. I walked in front of my trail camera at night and was surprised how bright the Verde looked
THANK YOU for this excellent comparison.VALO wins. I JUST got a KUIU Yukon rain parka in VALO pattern B/C I hunt high desert sagelands and sandhill type terrain. But my GTX rai pants are ADVANTAGE Timber, all browns and blacks and very different from my parka. KUIU has excellent quality and features.
Unfortunately this is not at all how each pattern blends into the real life surroundings. Each of them are much better at concealment in the real woods than what is displayed here. I do appreciate the initial idea that it gives someone though. 👍

Awesome video, you should continue to make these with all kinds of camo patterns. Valo crushed most environments in this test; keeping in mind that vias was created for more rocky, snowy terrain.
I use Verde until the colors change, then it's Valo. Use Vias if you're out west. Verde is pretty much invisible in a green deciduous forest. Valo is perfect once the leaves are on the ground.
In Utah I have the 3 camouflage ones but I really like the bias one even when I'm not hunting and I use it. It's the one I get the most compliments on. People ask me where I buy that camouflage because they don't see it in any store 😂😂
We don’t buy camo to blend in better for deer we buy it cause we want it and it looks good it dosnt help the hunt white tshirt and blue jeans works as good as any camo
@@CamoMatrix I’m not saying what your doing is good for people that care about that stuff or bashing u I’m just saying far as it helping u not being spotted by deer it don’t matter iv hunted in about everything besides being buff naked and you don’t get busted by what you wear
@@lancebounds1895 No worries here and I understand what you are saying. If you watch many of my commentary vidoes, I always end them with a version of Fred Bears saying, "the best camo is to remain still and be quiet".
Not a fair comparison, natural sunlight and shadows play a huge role. You cannot compare superimposed images onto pics of different terrain backgrounds.
Just added another Kuiu video with snow and some other backgrounds. Take another look and solidify your decision. ua-cam.com/video/4FneZ8PpQSw/v-deo.html
I think people are forgetting that the camo is suppose to break up the shape of your body so deer can't tell you're a human standing. Camo that blends in to the environment is more for human eyes lol. Just my thought.
Just bought Kuiu pants. Very athletic and tight fits compared to other brands in the same size. I think over rated and snobbish and too expensive for what they provide.
These digital comparisons dont really show the true picture properly. You be better off taking real photos or videos from ten, twenty, and like thirty yards away and then compare. Of course i understand its not possible to get all these clothing for testing purposes. Based on your digital test i purchased some kuiu valo because it looked like it blended better, but i also bought a vias piece too and compared the two.....from ten yards and away the vias breaks up your figure much better then the valo on several different backgrounds. I was shocked as in your videos it was completely different.
You are correct. These videos can't represent real light, shadows and reflection. Also, the studio light can alter the pattern some. I try to make this known in newer videos. I actually reran this series earlier this year. ua-cam.com/video/M9wFwZruJVA/v-deo.html And yeah, shooting them in real situations would be better but of course the cost would be much higher than the return on the video. I just did a real world video that is being released today. Check the channel after 11AM EST today. Jan1, 2025. Has one Kuiu Pattern with 11 other patterns for ladder stand hunting, results are interesting.
I settled on Valo Months ago when I fist discovered KUIU. This would indicate that I chose wisely. Great and useful video!
That was unlike what anybody else has done before, awesome. Made me change my mind in what pattern I am ordering.

Re-ran Kuiu with the three with some new backgrounds including snowy ones. Sitka is next. ua-cam.com/video/4FneZ8PpQSw/v-deo.html
Valo in winter is the way to go.
I ended up ordering Valo after this myself
Feeling very satisfied with my Valo purchase now lol.
Would love to see a Kuiu Valo vs Sitka Optifade Subalpine comparison
I can add that comparison. I like my Valo also!
Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/-jQLA_4kT2E/v-deo.html
I’ve used Valo for awhile in a lot of environments…it’s great
I agree. I have some in my arsenal of camo and feel it does better than expected in most places.
Valo killed it in almost every one of the human vision shots.
I believe it is a good all around camo.
that's fine, i guess, if you are hiding from humans.
@@zzz7zzz9 yeah I'm looking at it as concealment from other people, country is going to hell and some of us have to fight back.
@@zzz7zzz9 I am.
Valo Verde Vias. In tht order. But all good camo concealment. Kuiu 👍
I got the vias… I’m gonna stick out a little, but damn if don’t look good while sticking out lol.
That is all that matters. It will blend very well in real light, shadows and reflection.
WOW One of the best I 'v seen Kuiu should have this on their web site

When going to deer vision the camo wasn’t blurred the same way as the background. I think if it was maybe verde would look much better.

Valo for deer. No question.
I don't see how Valo would be affective in a treestand

True, newer videos I have made are better than this one but yes, I can never simulate natural light, shadows and reflection
I have 80-90% Valo and the rest is Verde, and one Vias.
I do like the color variance of Verde for shape breakup. Valo is a strong pattern also
It seems i might buy valo instead of verde.. I was kinda thinking verdes black/dark spots stand out. Too bad people will think its "desert camo".
Just added another Kuiu video with snow and some other backgrounds. Take another look and solidify your decision. ua-cam.com/video/4FneZ8PpQSw/v-deo.html
Yes Valo....
You have to wear them IN the environment with the natural light
very true, capturing the true representation of how they will appear without real light and shadows is impossible in a simulated setting.
I wish I would of watched this before I ordered verde 🤦🏻♂️
Vias late season verde for early season valo for any desert or antelope hunt
I will say that Valo is an amazing match for eastern late fall leaves.
