Im out west Cali and was leaning towards Verde, but after looking at the videos, Valo looks to be the all around winner. Thank you for your time putting these videos together. Is there a company that has the quality as Kuiu does and a better pattern for Tahoe forest?
Thanks for watching! If you go with Kuiu, visiting Kuiu through my affiliate links helps out the channel. I have first hand use of Skregear.com Give them a try, their patterns may work out for that area. The price is a bit better and their warranties and size guarantee is great.
I think on a full price item through the skre website Matrix20 will get you 20% off. The new hardscrabble jacket is a quality piece. It was good last year but has improved this year.
Thanks so much, if you are looking at Kuiu, they are running a founders day sale right now. classic.avantlink.com/click.php?tool_type=ml&merchant_link_id=d7113a83-922c-40c3-910a-2c369d1fd358&website_id=88d61c2c-465c-4e01-ad81-c3bd5c203efd
I wish you were able to show actual camo in actual settings as the lighting and reflection of light off the actual camo does enhance tones of the different styles. What I mean is that the light tans have a tendency to take on the surrounding colors of reflected light and may actually look greener that what they really are in a spring forest, etc….
If possible could you put a sagebrush background in these comparisons? There are a ton of folks who hunt elk, deer, and pronghorn in that ecosystem. Otherwise this is super useful. Keep up the great work.
My newer videos have that: this one has Kuiu. ua-cam.com/video/csgUm18HdpM/v-deo.html Which pattern are you interested in? or try the Camo Matrix: camohuntnstuff.com/camo_matrix.html
That is a tough one and I probably can't give you a single answer since I like so many. I would say that of this series, I think Kuiu Verde is the most versatile. ASAT is a great all around pattern. Sitka Sub Alpine is pretty versatile also. I have personally worn Sitka SubAlpine one in the SW Desert Mountains, the Midwest Grasslands, Montana Rockies and on the east coast in the whitetail hardwoods and pines in fall and spring. With that said, I also have worn TrueTimber Strata in all those places and feel it had the same all around effect visually. If budget is no problem, I would look into King of the Mountain, it is natural fiber, very warm and Made in the USA. It probably has better blending properties that all of the "plastic" brands out there and retains is value. There are so many more that blend so well into multiple backgrounds. In the future, I will be adding voting polls to the showdowns so we can get a "what works best for the masses" kind of tally.
I think easily Valo is the most versatile. I bought it for SW US hunting, for winter Midwest deer/turkey hunting. I wanted to pick just ONE and went with Valo for my packpack, and rain and other gear. I recently bought some Verde and one Vias.
Yeah, I feel the same way. When deer vision comes into play, even if I am off a little on how they "really" see, Valo seems to be the overall winner here.
@@stevew3718 So I started the 80 Plus, I know I know... its going to be WAY to much. I will probably place "chapters" on the timeline for each brand. I will be continuing the camo showdown series but probably with the camo in three positions.
Could you do elk vision?
I would just have to make the camo dummies smaller I guess.

sounds good will do. I went back and compared Valo and summit and summit won out in the end.

Yes, totally agree!!

I agree about the true color and reflection. Eventually I may get quite a few companies to send me the real stuff.
That would be awesome!
You’re doing a great job and these videos, as is, are very informative.

Valo really wins in deer vision.

@@CamoMatrix It's amazing how strong the "black colors" show up in deer vision mode !
😁👍🔥
Awsome, the new backdrops look good and make these patterns disappear.
Thanks so much. I am going to get another big multiple camo comparison rolling, only question now is.... is 80 plus patterns to many for one video?
@@CamoMatrix wow yeah that might be information overload. That is alot of camo patterns to soak in.
