I make this bread DAILY. I pre-mix the ingredients into snack bags with a 1/2 teaspoon of Truvia and store the bags in an old Folger's container in my cabinet. I don't worry about the flax meal going bad because I only store about 7-8 bags at a time which I eat in less than a week. In the mornings all I do is melt butter, mix in eggs and the pre-mix, let it sit for 5 mins then microwave. It is so flipping good toasted with sugar free raspberry jam. Dear lord, my mornings are AWESOME. Thank you for this recipe. I've made hamburgers, and sandwiches with this bread. I eat it with baked chicken to sop up the drippings, and spread butter and garlic to eat with low carb pasta. I love this bread. THANK YOU.

I actually found that adding an extra 1/2 tbs of coconut oil helps the bread remain more moist inside. I just toast it lightly before eating to make the outside more firm and keep the inside moist.

Contains 14 g of protein and 11 g of fiber.
This recipe is perfect, affordable and you can be anywhere in the world and make this. I then toasted the 1 slice it makes and made my egg sandwich for break fast the next day. At work all I did was microwave my sandwich for about 10-15 seconds and voila perfect breakfast. Literally took 10 minutes tops to make this slice of bread, including the 2 minutes to cook. I altered the recipe a bit by using 1 tbsp. of coconut oil instead of butter and adding 1 packet of Splenda. The only issue I had was the smell when making it but it is so worth it. I'm thinking of trying 3 tbps flax seed with 1 tbps coconut flour tonight and see if it changes the smell a little bit. WOW! I have spent 3 months trying and researching all keto breads. I spent all of day today experimenting with the usual tasteless results (which I didn't have time for!!) . Had a bit of ground golden linseed/flaxseed left over and came across this recipe at the end of the day. I made it, 3 minutes indeed. Cant believe it, I loved it. Loving your recipes, I'm just starting keto and you're a lifesaver! One thing I did with this recipe is to pour it into a round plate before baking, swirling it around and when it's done, it is a perfect wrap shape. Made a great breakfast wrap today using it! Thanks again!

Thanks for the love guys! Yes depends on your microwave, but for me it's about 50secs to a minute. It's awesome though and in my first month I've lost 4 kgs as of this morning. Very happy and never hungry, and Keto King your recipes are definitely helping! I'm a Canadian living in Tokyo, so it's sometimes hard to get all the ingredients, but I'm subbing as best I can. I've seen 10 keto bread recipes tonight and yours is the only one I tried (because it took me literally 3 minutes to make and I had all the ingredients in my kitchen). It's awesome! Toasted and with butter on top, I forgot I'm on a diet! I had my doubts, because it smelled a little "eggy" when I opened the microwave, but the taste was excellent... This one is a keeper! I've tried it today! At the beginning I was very skeptical, when I take it out of the microwave I didn't like the smell and also the color is not so appetizing BUT when I cut it in half I was impressed by the soft texture and when I tasted it I was even more impressed: it's so good! The Flaxmeal version of low carb microwave bread/muffins has become my favorite. I alter it just a bit, I do not add salt, I use extra light tasting olive oil, rather than butter and I add a few drops of liquid stevia and some caraway seeds, instead. I'm a dark bread lover and these adjustments let me pretend that I've got a pumpernickel bread. Also, I find that by adding 2 T. of water, my muffin rises even more and is lighter.. I tried this today for breakfast...it came out "eggy"; perhaps I used too large an egg. I used whole flaxseeds and had to put them in the cuisinart to ground them down. Didn't do much of a great job, as the seeds still looked whole to me, but the taste was AWESOME! Tasted like rye bread, one of my favs. I added a dollop of melted butter and salt on each half and really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for your direct, simple and short recipes!
Even better if you bake it at 350F for about 16 minutes...it comes out a lot softer and more moist than the microwave. For a treat, add cinnamon and brown sugar Swerve and top with a keto icing for an amazing cinnamon bun 🤩
This really works! It's yummy and my dacshund loves it too. To jazz it up a little I added sesame flour and dessicated coconut, didn't hv baking powder so substituted with ACV and baking soda. Will make this everytime I have a craving for bread. Thank u so very much.

I just tried this recipe for the first time and oh man it's good. I'm type 2 diabetic so I have to watch my carb intake so I wanted to try this as a low volume alternative to store bought bread for sandwiches and toast. I find it incredibly tasty, though it's obviously quite eggy so may be too much for some. This is honestly almost perfect for me since it's really quick to make.
I just did the recipe but change a few ingredients because I’m vegan. I used “Bob’s Red Mill” egg replacer and coconut oil instead of butter. It worked and I’m so happy I can make it vegan 😋😊
Oh my!! Soooo good! This is now my favorite microwave bread! Super userful as well if you are not on Keto, but have celiac friends coming over. We used to purchase special bread for them. No need anymore! I doubled the ingredients to make mine in a 9x5" pyrex loaf pan and it came out perfect.
I tried it yesterday. I used flaxseed meal which based on its description is a 100% ground flax seeds. My bread was much lighter in color than in the video. The taste was not great but OK considering an alternative of not having any bread at all. Of course the best thing about it is that this is the most simple out of all microwave keto bread recipes, let alone those in the oven. It is also much more solid (while not too hard), than another recipe I tried using almond flour. I'm not into cooking. I need to stay keto to maintain my weight. But, when I watch some other popular videos on keto bread, its an adventure: add this, add that, and add the other, and mix it this way and that way, then preheat your oven, and so on. I just want a slice of bread, but don't want to spend half a day in the kitchen. So thank you very much for this simple alternative!
This is really good. I've made this recipe previously using either coconut or almond flour. What I didn't like about using coconut or almond flour is the bread tasted eggy. Using the flax meal there was no eggy flavor whatsoever. I used coconut oil instead of butter, and it tasted great! I added a little salt, and for the heck of it, I added some curry powder. It is so dense, that you can slice it up thin, and use it for a greasy bacon cheese burger, and the bread won't fall apart. Highly recommend!
Yessss! This is soooo good. I had bought some flax meal the other day, because I noticed that it was really low carb. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to make anything good with it, but this bread is awesome! And it's so easy to make, and tastes so good. I really don't miss bread all that much anymore.
I'm not into the full Keto diet, but because of my diabetes I have to watch the carbs (Esp Wheat), so these flaxseed recipes make sticking to my diet easy. Peace

👍Hello hello I’m back again...I have to tell you...I wanted this bread so badly but I didn’t have any more ground flax meal (and no flaxseeds to make it) , but I did have some pecans so I made a little bit of pecan flour (used the NutriBullet coffee bean grinder) and I added some psyllium husk to the recipe (made homemade Baking Powder too by combining Cream of Tartar & Baking Soda)...it turned out great (almost as good as with just the ground flaxseeds). 😃Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. I have been able to do some really creative things using it as my base recipe. 🤗💞🤗
I made this with a sprinkle of garlic powder and dash of cayenne - sliced it, put it in the pan with butter and made a cheddar grilled cheese! Yum! I think it would be good with the garlic and shredded cheddar mixed right in! May even come out like a Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit. Tomorrow I’m gonna try making it with cinnamon, toasting in a pan with butter, and then dipping in sugar-free maple syrup sort of like French toast!
Keto King, I tried your bread and loved it. I did not expect it to rise when cooked. I cut it in half and put butter and cheese on both. I could of easily been happy with just one slice as it is quite rich and very filling. When I do the next one will one half before toasted keep ok in the fridge? Loved it and there was no eggy taste Deffo a winner
The Flax Bread is very good, as my #PickyHusband said the texture is #JustLikeBread! My change: I baked it in the toaster oven: 350F degrees for 12 minutes and 30 minutes with the oven off. BTW: We stopped using Microwaves years back. Thank you for the recipe.

+Hisham Aziz Glad you loved it so much! It is pretty darn good! No, k don't think olive oil would work. You'd need something that solidifies at room temperature, so coconut oil may work (but would racially change the taste).
Wow! I am so glad that you have left this recipe out here. For health reasons, I am having to do low carb, with a little keto thrown in-trying to find the balance-and the toughest thing is not being able to eat bread, pasta, etc. So, this recipe is great. Now I have a tasty "regular" bread substitute. Now if I can find decent ones for pasta, I think the diet will be must easier to do.

I just found this video and decided to give it a whirl as I was making breakfast. It is tasty! There's so much buttery flavour I don't even need more as a spread. Perfect with my bacon and eggs. Will also use it for a snack with a bit of nut butter when I'm out running errands. A nice addition to the staid nuts and/or pepperoni sticks. Definitely, I love the easy preparation and baking. I made 2 "loaves" in less than 5 minutes. I tried both the dark and golden flax. The dark reminds me of rye bread, which I'm sorely missing - I'm going to add caraway seeds next time and see how that goes. The golden is my favourite, and tomorrow I'll use 1/2 a loaf for eggs benedict. I put it into a round mug and got 4 slices. I'm also going to experiment with adding herbs to the mix in the future. I love.love.love this recipe!!!

I cooked this recipe while watching your video. This bread is much like a whole wheat or whole grain bread. You can customize it to your needs. I like this type of recipe, it's simple, fast (hate to cook) and it actually tastes good. It's not eggy at all. I thought it might be slimy in texture, but once cooled down it's basically just bread. I subscribed a few days ago, just because I watched your videos. I hadn't cooked not one recipe at the time. Did I tell you I'm lazy? This is the first recipe I have tried. I had to wait until I was in a good mood for cooking. I had all of the ingredients, which is a plus because I would have decided to not cook it if I was missing something. Simple and readily available ingredients are the key. Loved it.

Toasted and with butter on top, I forgot I'm on a diet! I had my doubts, because it smelled a little "eggy" when I opened the microwave, but the taste was excellent... This one is a keeper! +Benchekroun Nada Hey there! Did you stick to the ingredients exactly as listed? I can understand if you feel less butter would be better suited to your taste preference, but it definitely should be hard like that. It comes out pretty soft and toasts wonderfully.

I've tried it today! At the beginning I was very skeptical, when I take it out of the microwave I didn't like the smell and also the color is not so appetizing BUT when I cut it in half I was impressed by the soft texture and when I tasted it I was even more impressed: it's so good! The Flaxmeal version of low carb microwave bread/muffins has become my favorite. I alter it just a bit, I do not add salt, I use extra light tasting olive oil, rather than butter and I add a few drops of liquid stevia and some caraway seeds, instead. I'm a dark bread lover and these adjustments let me pretend that I've got a pumpernickel bread. Also, I find that by adding 2 T. of water, my muffin rises even more and is lighter.. I tried this today for breakfast...it came out "eggy"; perhaps I used too large an egg. I used whole flaxseeds and had to put them in the cuisinart to ground them down. Didn't do much of a great job, as the seeds still looked whole to me, but the taste was AWESOME! Tasted like rye bread, one of my favs. I added a dollop of melted butter and salt on each half and really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for your direct, simple and short recipes!
Even better if you bake it at 350F for about 16 minutes...it comes out a lot softer and more moist than the microwave. For a treat, add cinnamon and brown sugar Swerve and top with a keto icing for an amazing cinnamon bun 🤩

This really works! It's yummy and my dacshund loves it too. To jazz it up a little I added sesame flour and dessicated coconut, didn't hv baking powder so substituted with ACV and baking soda. Will make this everytime I have a craving for bread. Thank u so very much.

I just tried this recipe for the first time and oh man it's good. I'm type 2 diabetic so I have to watch my carb intake so I wanted to try this as a low volume alternative to store bought bread for sandwiches and toast. I find it incredibly tasty, though it's obviously quite eggy so may be too much for some. This is honestly almost perfect for me since it's really quick to make.

I just did the recipe but change a few ingredients because I’m vegan. I used “Bob’s Red Mill” egg replacer and coconut oil instead of butter. It worked and I’m so happy I can make it vegan 😋😊

Oh my!! Soooo good! This is now my favorite microwave bread! Super userful as well if you are not on Keto, but have celiac friends coming over. We used to purchase special bread for them. No need anymore! I doubled the ingredients to make mine in a 9x5" pyrex loaf pan and it came out perfect.

I just made this,I added cinimon for flavor and smell. I am amazed.
I tried it yesterday. I used flaxseed meal which based on its description is a 100% ground flax seeds. My bread was much lighter in color than in the video. The taste was not great but OK considering an alternative of not having any bread at all. Of course the best thing about it is that this is the most simple out of all microwave keto bread recipes, let alone those in the oven. It is also much more solid (while not too hard), than another recipe I tried using almond flour.
I'm not into cooking. I need to stay keto to maintain my weight. But, when I watch some other popular videos on keto bread, its an adventure: add this, add that, and add the other, and mix it this way and that way, then preheat your oven, and so on. I just want a slice of bread, but don't want to spend half a day in the kitchen.
So thank you very much for this simple alternative!

This is really good. I've made this recipe previously using either coconut or almond flour. What I didn't like about using coconut or almond flour is the bread tasted eggy. Using the flax meal there was no eggy flavor whatsoever. I used coconut oil instead of butter, and it tasted great! I added a little salt, and for the heck of it, I added some curry powder. It is so dense, that you can slice it up thin, and use it for a greasy bacon cheese burger, and the bread won't fall apart. Highly recommend!

Yessss! This is soooo good. I had bought some flax meal the other day, because I noticed that it was really low carb. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to make anything good with it, but this bread is awesome! And it's so easy to make, and tastes so good. I really don't miss bread all that much anymore.

👍Hello hello I’m back again...I have to tell you...I wanted this bread so badly but I didn’t have any more ground flax meal (and no flaxseeds to make it) , but I did have some pecans so I made a little bit of pecan flour (used the NutriBullet coffee bean grinder) and I added some psyllium husk to the recipe (made homemade Baking Powder too by combining Cream of Tartar & Baking Soda)...it turned out great (almost as good as with just the ground flaxseeds). 😃Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. I have been able to do some really creative things using it as my base recipe. 🤗💞🤗

I made this with a sprinkle of garlic powder and dash of cayenne - sliced it, put it in the pan with butter and made a cheddar grilled cheese! Yum!
I think it would be good with the garlic and shredded cheddar mixed right in! May even come out like a Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit.
Tomorrow I’m gonna try making it with cinnamon, toasting in a pan with butter, and then dipping in sugar-free maple syrup sort of like French toast!
Keto King, I tried your bread and loved it. I did not expect it to rise when cooked. I cut it in half and put butter and cheese on both. I could of easily been happy with just one slice as it is quite rich and very filling. When I do the next one will one half before toasted keep ok in the fridge? Loved it and there was no eggy taste Deffo a winner
Yes, it should keep for a few days in the fridge. Then just pop it in the toaster when you want to eat it for a warm piece of keto toast!
The Flax Bread is very good, as my #PickyHusband said the texture is #JustLikeBread! My change: I baked it in the toaster oven: 350F degrees for 12 minutes and 30 minutes with the oven off.
BTW: We stopped using Microwaves years back.

+Hisham Aziz Glad you loved it so much! It is pretty darn good! No, k don't think olive oil would work. You'd need something that solidifies at room temperature, so coconut oil may work (but would racially change the taste).
I’ve tried it with olive oil and it works. I also mix herbs for a savory Italian flavor.

For health reasons, I am having to do low carb, with a little keto thrown in-trying to find the balance-and the toughest thing is not being able to eat bread, pasta, etc. So, this recipe is great. Now I have a tasty "regular" bread substitute. Now if I can find decent ones for pasta, I think the diet will be must easier to do.

I just found this video and decided to give it a whirl as I was making breakfast. It is tasty! There's so much buttery flavour I don't even need more as a spread. Perfect with my bacon and eggs. Will also use it for a snack with a bit of nut butter when I'm out running errands. A nice addition to the staid nuts and/or pepperoni sticks.
Can't wait to try this tomorrow for breakfast with cheese and avocado...I can finally have avocado toast again :)

Definitely, I love the easy preparation and baking. I made 2 "loaves" in less than 5 minutes. I tried both the dark and golden flax. The dark reminds me of rye bread, which I'm sorely missing - I'm going to add caraway seeds next time and see how that goes.
The golden is my favourite, and tomorrow I'll use 1/2 a loaf for eggs benedict. I put it into a round mug and got 4 slices. I'm also going to experiment with adding herbs to the mix in the future.

I cooked this recipe while watching your video. This bread is much like a whole wheat or whole grain bread. You can customize it to your needs. I like this type of recipe, it's simple, fast (hate to cook) and it actually tastes good. It's not eggy at all. I thought it might be slimy in texture, but once cooled down it's basically just bread. I subscribed a few days ago, just because I watched your videos. I hadn't cooked not one recipe at the time. Did I tell you I'm lazy?
This is the first recipe I have tried. I had to wait until I was in a good mood for cooking. I had all of the ingredients, which is a plus because I would have decided to not cook it if I was missing something. Simple and readily available ingredients are the key. Loved it.
