I realize it's an old topic but I have a question. Is it possible to take of only the top part of the manifold intake? I would like to install injectors for a LPG system.
Good video. When installing i noticed there is a little opening to the front left of the engine where the manifold sits, it is right under the left side air return valve. Is this normal?
So I have a Clk 320 that ran fine and the key stoped working so one of my friends tried to fix it and he sprayed starter fluid in the air intake and over rid the key sequence and tried to crank it like 30 times and the intake manifold made a loud nose and something busted the intake manifold and a small amount of white smoke came out ....I got a new key and am planning on replacing the manifold .....you got any idea of what may have happened ? Noone can tell me iv took it everywhere I think the starter fluid combusted somehow .....hopefully it's just the manifold I haven't cranked it yet Gunna replace manifold then try to crank it new key works btw everything's good but the hole in the manifold
Hey Brad ji just did this yesterday and car runs great 👍 ..thanks a lot, only problem is my AC / Heater stop working climate control are ON but NO air comes out.. did you have the same issue... any thoughts or ideas how to fixed that issue.? Thank bro 😎
I'm pretty sure they are electronically activated and not by vacuum, it is in the dash, when you have dual climate control there are two hot and cold blend doors, they open or close to let cool or hot air through. Another thing is listen for a clicking noise when you try to change the temp, this problem is usually caused by a bad blend door.
@@bradsautomotivellc4850 yeah they’re there. Ended up being a chewed up cable. I ended up just removing the intake bolts and a couple hoses and connectors and so was able to tuck it up and get access to the knock sensors. This video helped a lot. Thanks!
There are 4 bolts holding it down. U will have to loosen the harness on top of it. After the bolts are out slightly pry the rail out with a pry bar or flat head screw driver
@@bradsautomotivellc4850 i have a V8 and the intake has a leak somewhere. That´s why i´m changing the hole intake manifold. Thanks for your Video and comment. You help people like me. :)
@@PolskaLukasz197 they say its not serviceable but there is a link on mercedesforums showing a manifold taken apart, cleaned, and resealed. Same procedure but seperating the top half of manifold exposing inside. Also there is a little hose on the front side plugged into a vacuum line that is known to break and cause issues.
The one that was beneath the intake manifold going into the secondary air injector , the dealer claims it’s non serviceable and that I need to buy the manifold new for like $1400

Nice work bro like your style and process of the repair 💪🏽💯
Thank you for the video. Very helpful. I have to replace the injectors.
Your a gem, thank you

the video is very instructive but I have to take an aspirin because the camera moves too much and got get dizi.
But learn a lot from it.

Hot and cold blend door
Glad it helped you
Hot and Cold Blend door where is that at.?
But it was just working fine before I started working on the throttle...

The knock sensors sit right under the intake right? I’m doing the job tomorrow on a C240.
To be honest man I don't remember, I don't remember where the knock sensors are specifically

I broke the hose that goes into the bottom of the intake manifold , I wonder if removing the manifold would be the only way of removing the hose ?
Which hose exactly?

@@teamicon53 does the hose your talking about attach to a small rubber insert on the back of the intake?
@@teamicon53 it sounds to me like your talking about the small vacuum line, is that correct?
Brads Automotive LLC yes that’s exactly the one
Can you help me ? u still using this channel ?
Ya what's up brother?

Ok I just read your post. So it's hard to start when it's cold and when it's warm it runs fine?
