@@jas_bataille maybe. I have the signature model. Average sounding drum. Bought it like 4 years ago because it was an inexpensive metal snare drum. I think it was $150 when I bought it. The signature model is now selling for $300 give or take some on sites like Reverb. Edit: I just Googled Taylor Hawkins signature Gretsch snare drum and they're sold out on Reverb and Ebay.
I seen one today and looked at the tag right away expecting to see that on it nut obviously his name was not on it but I thought it was his snare. I am glad you cleared that up.
They're both great drums, but the black nickel coating on the Gretsch shell is a nice premium feature that you usually won't find on snares at this price point.
Absolutely I have them both the hardware on the gretsch is much better it comes with nylon washers. And the great shell is 1.2 mm the Ludwig is a 1 mm shell. They both are good sounding drums though. Also the Ludwig has a beaded steel shell. Which gives it that vintage sound
I got a bunch of premium snare drums this little inexpensive drum is a great choice for those on a budget. It’s only $269.00 and sounds awesome and I kept the original heads etc

I’m not a steel snare person, but this is probably the best value snare on the market.
