A few of the colossal weapons got their R1 poise damage buffed to 24.96 poise damage, and 48 on CR2's meaning all it takes is 4 R1's to stun Maliketh for example. With cragblade it becomes 3, pretty crazy if you ask me
Great hammer + cragblade sound like they'll be a fun time, with 49.5 poise damage from cr2s default. Too bad Great club can't be infused, with its whopping 52 poise damage hehe
2:30 Does he just occasionally do the destined death attack without the two initial swings? I haven’t seen this often aside from his poise being broken before it happens
Yep, that is a rare bug which is definitely not intended, I call it the random Destined Deaths. Whenever it does happen (which is like 1 out of 20 fights) it's usually after a stagger or this pillar slam attack, they seem to confuse his AI a little bit.
Bruh, I am lvl 400 dagger/faith. I might change the build after this🤣 Colosal weapons always felt slow for me. What does cragblade do? Boosts poise damage?
My way of dealing with the giant wolf grim reaper was giving him the rotten breath, and let the rot do its work. Guess I have to find another way of dealing with him and his acrobatic two shot shenanigans now that From Software had another epiphany about "balance".
The patch brought some much needed balance, discouraging the use of the same broken methods and favorizing variety in weapons and spells is a good direction to take
@@little_lord_tam lol people don’t like change they want to do the same stuff that worked 6 months ago over and over. I agree though we needed that patch
nice turn to the camera after the whiff
I did NOT remember the second charged r2 was a vertical slam... although being able to pull both back to back is very rare so that explains a bit
After this patch, it's never been better to be a colossal weapons user in FS titles.
I was stuck for sooo long at this boss. You make it look easy.
I’ve never seen someone jump the quick double swipe in phase 1. Excellent showcase.

your maliketh kills never cease to amaze, GG buddy :friedepls:
Heyo Demo, and thanks :) :petthefriede:
GG!
I started a run to try out some of the changes. Didn't notice a big difference but I hadn't played in months.
Thanks ! The patch offers a lot of minor but appreciable buffs and quality of life changes, it's nice
this is literally how i’m doing in my 2nd dlc playthrough
You got malikeths moves down to the tee! 🔥
Nice run. Kinda wanted to try this out one day since he’s a super fun boss with heavy weapon types especially in Phase 2, personally for me
1:36 The turning at the camera looks like you're apologizing to us for whiffing that attack, lmao
I LMAO when I saw that
Jesus Christ, cragblade staggers so quickly lmao
Pretty freakin sweet.
Thanks ! Appreciate it

What does cragblade do? Boosts poise damage?
@John Hooper Yeah I am aware of that🤣
Guts approved
Noice
I thought you would do more damage but it appears my spears do more against him
You're aware this is a level 1 unupgraded weapon fight, right ?
Dude is literally playing with his dog
Did you know you can level up your character and weapon?
what was in your flask ?
What does more poise dps? Great mace or gratsword?
Greathammers. If you focus on jump attacks, charge attacks, and/or guard counters, you can make a crit build with your great mace

@@Jordien Eh, I'll get over it, eventually.
@@azazel166 it was getting kinda stale with the same old stuff, that patch was much needed.
I cant see how you are complaining. The patch was one of the best balance patches ever and it will just get better
