a documentary of my playthrough. this hammer was so addicting. I wish there were more weapons with this gimmick, like the cleanrot spear doing the aow effect on guard counter, or just more black knight weapons in general. I literally deflected every single hit of consort its so funny 😩 and the little "dink!" noise from perfect blocking.

Having used Torrent for pretty much every overworld tree sentinel or dragon fight I could, fighting Elden Beast with Torrent really felt like the final boss of the horseback combat. None of the other bosses you can fight on horseback chain AoEs and track the player as fast as Elden Beast can, and some attacks are still easier to dodge on foot so I ended up dismounting on my own for the first time in any of these boss fights, so it felt a lot more tactical than most other horseback bosses too. I'm baffled Torrent wasn't originally usable for this fight, because it really feels like he was meant to be all along. Part of me wonders if it was somehow a development oversight. Like, they just forgot to add the flag that lets you use Torrent after you beat Radagon and only realized after they noticed literally everyone was doing "No Torrent Runs" with Elden Beast for two years straight.

This game is full of bs like that i feel like, attacks that need you to space instead of having good timing feels kinda shit tbh, i started playing recently but i don't get the hype this game got i find ds3 10 times better and can't wait to finish elden ring to try somethingg else

I just beat Consort Radahn with my own build. I beat him once before with the shield cheese, but this time I actually played the game. Yes I used the mimic tear, but it didn’t end up doing very much because it got grabbed 2 times in phase two which insta killed it. I used the Dark Moon Greatsword at +9 for my weapon. Lords divine protection was great for surviving and I used KLS for when he out of reach.

just made a new wretch that i want to continue using bonk for the entirety (probably will use golden halberd to rush mohg and radahn before lvl 50). had trouble deciding what bonk to use for dlc and end game. now i am decided. having a great hammer this big but the speed in not being colossal is awesome. using the warcry charged r2 is also really fun, could be a great build to follow up counters with if use both axe and curved sword talisman
