Mother 32 has such a unique and friendly timbre. I've been using a Minilogue xd this year and m Mother 32 is under the bed but hearing this makes me want to get it out again.
@@AntonAnru Instruments are in constant flux, every few months the set-up gets bloated so I reduce and always find freshness in a smaller rig. Then I start adding things week by week, and so it goes.
about 5 years since I became obsessed with the mother32 it's where everything began for me working through anton's patchbook right now, constantly learning new little tricks mother 32 was the greatest gateway drug of my life
The timbre can be recreated on Matriarch i guess. But the sequence - not that easy. M32 has a more complex sequencer and the outputs on the patchbay that are not available on Matriarch
My only complaint is that the first two minutes of this video should have gone on for at least two hours! I'm a guitarist trying to learn how to use Mother 32 and DFAM (with an eye on Subharmonicon, if I can make the other two modules work for me!!) and your stuff is invaluable. Great work - thanks!
Hey Anton, thanks for your work, it’s always so inspiring. I really love the patches you did for the Matriarch series like the “generative” or “Paraphonic patches”. I’d love to buy the matriarch as my first Moog synth, but its expensive and i’m trying to unferstand if i could reach similar results with the GrandMother or the Mother32. I make electronic music on the vibes of Rival Consoles, David August, Moderat, Ben Lukas Boysen and i actually have a Sequential Take 5 an Elektron Syntakt. Which one of the Moog you think could fit me? thanks a lot
It's difficult to substitute matriarch with other synths. It has a unique set of features. I could advise some Moog, but still it won't be close to matriarch. You could probably save some money and get it in future. Besides matriarch i love Subsequent 37. But it's not cheap too
@@AntonAnru thanks for information. İ have crave ithinkmother 32 and behringer crave is same similar synths. So should I get your mother 32 package for crave?
hi from now my congratulations... but I would like to ask all these sounds did you make just one pattern? this is a pattern. Fleetness, and another DFAM Beat pattern, Beat Crusher, or are several sounds recorded and assembled at the end?
I just bought one off ebay after waiting a LONG TIME , pretty hyped but was wondering if there's anything that will help me get too grips with the sequencer? , I'm use too using a dfam and obviously they are both quite different. great video man!!
hello Anton, Can I make u a question? I have a DFAM and a subsequent37, im looking for a small synth to make deep and emocional arpeggios for melódic techno, is mother 32 a good synth for it? thank u greetings from Argentina
These patches are amazing. Coming back to listen for the fourth time. How are you making the sequencer advance at a variable rate? This creates a very interesting texture to the sound.
I am a huge fan of your sound sets. I am undecided whether to make the DFAM or the M32 as my first MOOG synth. Which would you recommend more for someone who likes experimental dark dystopian sounds? I wish I could just buy both but don’t have that kind of $ on me. Thanks
thanks for the feedback. you may regard it as cheating for bigger sells, no problem. but my point for all of my demos is the following: I prefer demonstrating presets in a kind of realistic situation, in a musical context, the way I would use them, and potentially, the customers. there are many videos on the official Moog channel, where the synths are passed through effects (to increase sells?). it's not for cheating, but because most customers will also pass synths through some effects. many/most synth parts in music are passed through effects. watch m-32 jams on youtube - you will hardly find one with raw/dry sound. so, again, my point is to be closer to the potential final sound, realistic situation
also my videos are aimed not only for sells, but for a wide audience, those who don't own the synth, but curious to see what the synth can do. take the videos as jams or synth demos without selling purpose, and the effects will not bother you

Yes, the notes are sequenced. And randomising effect comes from patching and parameters settings on the synth. In some patches notes sequencing is also in a random order
