Hey there. When I go to set this up for conversions, it is pulling 'existing customers' audience. I imaging that should be customer that have visited the website, purchased, engaged with social. It is saying that I don't have a large enough audience to gain conversions. Any suggestions for making sure audience is set up correctly?
This is where we have had Advantage+ Shopping Campaign in our ad account for most or all of 2023, which I have yet to see you cover? Do you not have these in the UK yet?
Having said that, I have not seen the tailored campaign in Australia, however it does have some noticeable differences, mainly the targeting

honestly I have only been using automatic campaigns for several months because I get better results than manuals, both in terms of CPM and cost per purchase, in my opinion those who have a lot of data in the pixel now only use the new system most of the time

I would try to reach those people with your ad copy and creative as opposed with targeting.
So target broadly with the right locations, age criteria, etc. and then in your ad copy make it very clear who the ad is for. "School leavers, ever thought about..."
Meta will soon work out who to put your ads in front of.

Do you have a way around for tailored leads campaigns where the advertiser wants to take them to a website instead of Instant forms, Calls, Messenger etc. That option doesn't seem to be available yet on my ads manager?
Use Traffic mode, you can also make a strong call to action to click on a live link you put in the middle of the copy.
Traffic might give you lower lead quality. Sales (custom conversion) should be better.

If I post a reel for more website visits, is the website suppose to be on the reel or do they have to go onto the page and go to the website??????!!!?!
Do you think I should do this too with my ecom store in the dog niche? To me it rather seems better to use the manual one so I can only target dog owners & not people how don't even have one, so I think advantage+ campaigns are better for products where age, gender, interest doesn't really matter.
I would usually go with manual, no matter the niche. But if you are curious a quick test wouldn't be a bad idea.
You might be underestimating how much facebook knows about your audience. Especially if you already have some data (sales) in your account, facebook already knows that dog people are your target audience.
For e-commerce clothing brands should we go with manual or advantage + ? and broad or detailed ?
Advantage+ placements as long as you are optimising for purchases.
Test a number of different targeting options including open.

Not in my experience at this point.
Tailored lead campaign has a preset for high volume. Higher quality is available only in manual settings.

Ben, thanks for this video and your thoughtful content. I have a few questions. 1/ When platforms release new organic and paid content and advertising formats like UA-cam shorts, IG reels, stories etc., would you agree that the algos are adjusted, reprioritizing and "lifting" content or campaigns or ads that were created using the new formats or functionalities in the platforms creative or ad management systems? It's my belief that META and all digital and social ads will perform better when created using platform-native tools. For example: using creative hub to add captions and other elements, as opposed to baking design, music, captions etc. into videos OUTSIDE of the platform. In adobe, etc. If this topic has already been discussed on your channels or if you've created a video already covering the topic please forgive as I'm new to your channel. But given that your final recommendation in this video is to maintain a manual approach to campaigns, I am curious as to whether you think META's algorithms will lift or skew tailored campaigns and ads etc towards better performance-given that they are utilizing NEW features-as opposed to those created via the legacy (now "manual") process. Meta doesn't always display the learning phase but all ad sets learn. I wouldn't worry about it.

I’ve been having trouble getting enough sales conversions with the budget of $30 a day for a $74 product. Im getting less than 10 conversions a week. What is your thoughts on getting the 50 fb needs to optimize ?
Don't worry about the 50 conversions per week. A lot of advertisers wreck their campaigns chasing that. Instead just focus on your cost per conversion and improving that. Once you have, you can scale.

I am trying to follow the steps of this video, but I simply don't get the options to choose Age, Gender, Languages and so forth. I can only choose 18 and above when it comes to age, but the rest is nowhere to be found.
At this point, this is super frustrating as I have already spent a great deal of money on my Ad, where it says that 70% of the amount spent has been targeting 55+ of age, while my target audience being 25-35.
Can you please explain me why I can't find the options?

Hi Ben, in one of your recent videos, you revealed that NOT CHOOSING audience network results in a 40% increase in AD spending, is that still the case? I ask because in this video it seems like you are advising us to avoid the audience network.
I would recommend that you go with advantage+ placements if you are using a conversion based objective. Otherwise I would not advertise on the audience network.

Does it really matter if I run the ads from a very new ad account, business manager ) or from a new business manager or ad account ( business manager ) that ran several campaigns before ?
As I started running ads from a very new business manager and results aren’t the best at all ( it’s been a few hours ), and I ran ads using the same creatives for the same company and audience from an experienced business manager and the metrics were much better for the same amount of time but the account got banned so I relaunched from a new business manager.
It does make a difference. The more conversions you have in an ad account, the better it performs typically.
But I wouldn't worry about it if you have to use a new ad account.

I wouldn't see those as either or, you can use instant forms whilst advertising on both Facebook and Instagram.

I don't think this new campaign type will help much with that. But there are other things you can do improve lead quality.

Isn't that just advantage+ shopping? Only ad accounts which have a certain spend history and has certain amount of data have this feature. My new ad accounts or ad accounts with no spend history does not have it yet. Only manual campaigns.

It's not available in all ad accounts yet. I imagine you will get it soon though.
I can't select Dubai city in the tailored ads campaign as it is only for country. A very big waste of budget and again no flexibility location wise.

Am I the only one that NEVER trusts companies when they do this kind of thing? It's because our sales don't mean much to them. They just want more money from us. So, I always look at the things they push with a huge grain of salt.
I think scepticism is smart, but remember that over the long run, we all need to generate sales to keep paying them. Meta is incentivised to help us get results.

Hey Ben. I have also seen that boosted posts on our account now must include Instagram. I tried boosting a post yesterday and I couldn't deselect Instagram. Are you familiar with this? I contacted FB support, but you know how much hope I have of a reply!
I'd recommend creating ads with Ads Manager as opposed to boosting. You have a lot more functionality and won't run into this issue :)
