One of the most exciting, that is likely to be rolled out to all advertisers soon, is called Advantage+ Audience.
Now this should not be confused with existing Advantage Facebook ads features or even other Advantage Facebook ads targeting features.

Can't wait to see an update on this! Unfortunately, I still don't have it on my ad account, but I would be excited to try it.
Not many accounts do yet but it's coming.
I have used it on two engagement ads and (we only get small reach anyway) up to about 20000 is a good ad. But I have found this very easy to use and the engagement results are pretty good. Seems more link clicks too than just tire kickers. But organic still comes in at about 65% of engagement. But it is much easier to use and there are less glitches than using detailed targeting. And with the new meta ads app, it's much easier to adjust the audience as the ad runs. And as the ad runs, it provides more suggestions for you to choose who to target.

i agree. im testing right now, audience+ and layered interests. it feels you can tell meta a very specific persona, without of fearing of being to specific cause the audience+ will increase size on its way

What about the quality of the leads ?
Each time that I have cheap leads, It ends up being low quality leads who dont buy. So i'm a afraid about cheap leads.
thanks for this ben, please advise me, i started a sales campaign which did well for 7 days then stopped performing, it was running on manual placements, should i create a new fresh campaign or edit the existing one to automatic placements? aslo is t a good idea to always create new ads once existing ones stop performing which is usually 7 days for me ?
It is avaiable for me and you can work with it just in advantage+ campaign in sales conversion
And its just awesome i cant go back to normal way you just give them your website audience and locations and age and it will take campaign to other level

1. How's "Advantage+ audience" working out for your "Local Home-service Business" clients?
2. While using "Advantage+ audience", can we still set a "Age-limit" and a group of "Detailed targeting" options which FB should abide by while advertising to people?
Or, "Location targeting" is the only way to alter the "Audience size", and then we'll just have to blindly let FB run the ad and give away the control?
But "Advantage+ audience" is definitely proving to be an epic thing for "Local businesses" that primarily use "Broad targeting" for targeting the "Cold-audience"…

How many days should I test the advantage plus audience?
ben on my ad account has been added but as soon as I enter conversion by purchase in the adset the expansion automatically removes, how do I fix?
I tested this with one of their advisors a few weeks ago. The problem I have is I use 3rd party links, so I can't track/convert but not sure if it's still worth using

I don’t have a good result with it. Maybe I don’t have enough data to run it. Before starting it, you can set up what type of people you want to target in the setting
Hey Ben, in order to expand reach to a broader audience and possibly reduce ad frequency, could one possibly include an audience that excludes the various engagers over the past say, 2 days for Facebook page engagement, IG, web visitors etc to the ad set level?
That sounds good in theory but I haven’t seen those sorts of things improve results. Meta is very aware of frequency and is unlikely to waste budget by overdoing it

Hi Ben! thank you for your content, it's always so helpful! I'm using advantage+ audience for a lead campaign, but here's the thing: sometimes it reaches people below my target age of 25-38, like 18-year-olds, who aren't really my main audience.
This results in leads that don't quite fit. It's not a big issue, but it does happen occasionally. Is there a way to set an age limit so the advantage+ audience still stays over 23/25 years old people?

It's not letting me create custom audiences manually anymore. There are suggestions available but interests aren't coming up at all when I type them in. Is anyone else having this problem?
When using Advantage Audience, does it make sense to create a lookalike audience from a custom audience?

I would like to know how to place an ad on a competitors page, it was easy years ago but now it takes a act of congress to get the info
I’ve noticed that i can see my competitors targeting options now by clicking why am I seeing this ad. I’ve noticed most are not using targeting now. The ones that are don’t seem to have a lot of engagement on their ads. I’m still using targeting since broad has never worked for me. I’ll see if i see this since I’m in Australia and they like to use us as Guinea pigs

I tried this Advantage Audience on a Traffic Campaign for an Ad (optimized for clicks) directed at women 30s-40s US, advertising womens bras... By Day 3, it was targeting a 75% male audience.😅🙄. Wondering if it will perform the same with a Sales Campaign ad?
Wow! That’s really funny. Since it was optimized for clicks, probably those were men who liked to click on women wearing bras😀
Hi Ben, I've got a question I am curious about. I only sell products for dogs so for me it's logical to target specific dog owners. But you say Meta wants to deliver it broadly by algorithm. So now I am asking myself what strategies I should go to because its a new website and a new ad account and meta have zero data on who to target. Though meta wants to deliver the ads boardly by algorithm but we can target and tailored the ads to reach more people who are likely to engage with your business.
Everything deals about understanding how the platform works and how to go about it.

I've used it, it's really good, i did not expect clients outside of my target locations, it's fascinating i cannot articulate a conclusion if it is better, ( as of this comment i tried it once )

What about using this with LLA's and CA's?
I tried this twice on my account, once a few months ago to the advice of a Meta Pro rep and once again a week ago - and each time, it almost completely haulted the results of my other campaigns (not having made any changes to them). Everything returned back to normal a day or two after I turned the Advantage Plus campaign off. I've heard some success stories from others, but on my end.... complete opposite. Could it be pure coincidence?
It’s not what he was talking about in the video. They are just rolling out this feature, starting in may 2023, at the ad set level. What you are referring to is a new type of campaign that meta has been pushing a lot in the past 10 months

Now that it is 5 months later from original video, Do you still think Advantage + Audience is a smart way to go when your customer has a very specific Interest. Example. Yes, it's visible to me as well. You need to add the location and audience. I was furious at first, but then I realized the manual is still available.
Edit: I will start using it from today and will provide an update here in 3-7 days.

It sounds very similar but I do think it will function differently. The audience expansion features are all only supposed to kick in if Facebook believes that will lead to more conversions. I think this is going to be closer to open targeting than that.

I understand where you are coming from but there are differences. Audience expansion is supposed to only switch on in the event that Meta is confident you'll generate better results from doing so. This feature is like to be closer to broad from the jump.
