Shark Tank US | Barbara Is Determined To Get A Deal With Nowhere Bakery
/ sptv
Barbara: I’ve failed in this business. Therefore, I’m in
lmao
lol
Barbara was the right choice for this food business. Barbara was also correct to keep the product in the kitchen, not with a co-packer, otherwise, the quality goes down for this premium bakery product. Thus, no comparison with cheapo, fattening, & non-vegan Cinnabon as Kevin mentioned.
Exactly. That's why Cinnabon tastes like trash these days.
@@qmanh72nah cinnabon is amazing , just sad they got rid of the sticks 😞
@@qmanh72also why Cinnabon is worth over a billion dollars lol
Thus I’m out
@@pithy3640Taste good but one piece shouldn’t cost as much as a meal combo at any fast food place lol
I swear half the products on this show are some vegan, anti glucose paleo friendly helps the sea turtles nonsense. As the entrepreneur breaks up crying over how their grandpa had cancer and this helped them through it and they grew up eating toothpaste on the street. And their product always costs like $20 for a loaf of bread.
Barbara made a deal.
The world is officially ending
Have a cookie for your year old running joke.
First time I've ever seen her make a deal. Was wondering why she was even on the show.
lmao
She actually works closely with the ones she does end up doing deals with and has a great track rate with turning profit with her investments. If I was a contestant, she would be my choice of shark.
She's made deals before
3:51 "And then in 2020 TOoOoOoOo"
Terrrrrrr
😂😂😂😂😂
sounded like someone squized her weak spot
That upper inflection at the end of her sentences is giving me the fear. 😂
her voice goes up 3 octaves on the final word of her sentence.
It was a terrible pitch at the end.
Yes, it’s like nails on a chalkboard 😩 sounds like she’s asking all of her answers 😂
Nooo its great?
It's a New Zealand thing. I spotted her accent straight away
@@classicdevikinit sounds horrible. Absolutely terrible
This is the great problem for healthier cookies: the combination of fat and sugar is what makes cookies taste great. You can replace the sugar with artificial sweeteners to slightly lower the calorie content and still have a great tasting cookie (which does not spike your sugar as fast). But when you start reducing the fat content to actually make the cookie low calorie, the cookie starts tasting bland. This cookie is high calorically for the same reason it tastes great, it has fat. If it had low calories, they would not have liked it. Funnily enough, what most health friendly companies do to market healthier cookies is, they use the artificial sweeteners, keep the fat content high enough so they cookie still tastes good, and then lower the portion size, to give the impression of a healthier cookie. In reality, you are just eating less cookie, which I guess accomplishes the goal of having less calories.
Just a note about Calories. They are a measure of energy burned, not a physical thing. No two people burn the same calories even if they eat the same food item.
Looks like Crumbl cookies’s design. Same shade of pink, similar box design, similar logo…
they getting sued for sure
Pretty sure Crumbl doesn't own that or any shade or pink or a square pink box design smh
@@cjn5006 Who said anything about Crumbl “owning” anything? I’m stating that the branding looks SIMILAR. You need to check your reading comprehension smh.
@@vivs9314 that or maybe, just maybe my comment was meant for the guy who said they were getting sued for sure. Check your eyes smh
@@cjn5006 Whoops my bad then. I didn’t see their comment since I only got a notification for yours with no @ so I assumed it was directed to mine.
This time, Barbara was all in... Good for them..
😊
Honestly if there was a stock for this company I'd invest some right now knowing that Barbara usually knows what she's doing even if she rejects% deals here and people making meme out of her. And I personally know how good this product is imo apart from high calories.
@@words007 Barbara doesn't bite more than what she can chew.
She's a smart investor hence why she declines most of the companies
@@pushingyourownagenda9889 Agreed. She reminds me of an older knowledgably grandmother that's lived her life, knows the fundamentals of business and preaches it to her grandchildren.
World famous cookie that nobody has heard of??
Ego, my friend...ego
I recently drove past a bakery 5 minutes from my house and it had a banner out the front saying world famous. I thought if I haven't heard of it and it is 5 min from my house, then majority of people in my state haven't heard of it, and outside my state, no one would have heard of it. I don't get why businesses attach world famous when describing their business.
@@stewartwright5868😂😂
What a great lunch break.
See you all tomorrow
ive cooked bar food for Mark Cuban at a bar in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, and while he was always grateful. and enjoyed what i cooked, he never offered me a huge deal lol... always appreciated his appreciation tho! Especially from a local celeb who still showed love for the small towns he came from! If you read this, Mark, I'm a cook for hire back in the South Hills!
6:00 300 calories for food that the body needs to digest will burn calories within itself vs 300 processed food calories which the body barely needs to break down resulting in more calories in the long run. For example, If you eat 300 calories of protein-rich real food, the body might use up to 90 calories to digest it, leaving you with a net intake of 210 calories. In contrast, if you consume 300 calories of a highly processed food item, the TEF might only be around 10 calories, leaving you with a net intake of 290 calories. Not many people seem to know this. Also, TEF = Thermic Effect of Food
Very good point. But this is also one of the reason that this could be hard, because then you would need to educate the consumers on this concept.
Haha, that was quite the explanation and I appreciate that.
I've known this common sense "how the body" works kind of philosophy,
but like you said many if not, most people don't seem to know it.
That's why people are getting bigger and I don't mean bigger in the working out kind of way!
Quite simply and logically speaking, "you are what you eat!"
Also how filling is the 300 calories? It would be better if it had chia or coconut flour. Probably doesnt
The TEF would be at most 90 calories for 300 calories of ONLY protein, not for a "protein-rich real food."
Mark's problem is he eats like a pig. Watch any show where they give samples and he's stuffing his face the entire time. Sweets are fine in moderation, but a slob like him doesn't understand that.
Crumbl cookie box and logo lol
Exactly what I thought. Weird they chose the same colors.
I thought the same too
Exactly
Yeah ! Weird
Barbara’s smile at the beginning was so cute, and Lori looks gorgeous in that color! 😍
Kevins point on cinabom was valid lol
Barbara decided she was going to sit "out" this taping! Producers had to find a person looked and sounded like her. Problem is, the stand in got so caught up in the product, she forget to say "I love this product, lots of money to be made, therefore, I am out!
I feel like Gordon Ramsey would be the perfect fit as a Shark judge mostly because he knows what goes on and what happens when a food business expands especially to a small town where there's no cooks sadly regardless if the food product is that good or not
Barbara: This is a food business. Therefore, I'm in.
The white coats and beanies are off putting. Sorry.
Thank you Mr. Wonderful
IKR it's like they want you to join their cult
I was thinking the same thing!
At what point did these pitches become straight up pantomine
They are on average 45 minutes long edited down to 10min
Barbara made a deal right when I was going to exit the group.
@@ANTIStraussian I think Keving said average is over an hour and could be up to two hours
LMAO..."ALL THE OTHER PLANT COOKIES WE'VE HAD ON HERE TASTED LIKE SH**" 😂😂FREAKING KEVIN
Barbara is in, and for that reason we're all out.
If Barbra’s in, I’m out.
😃
They're now selling a 12 pack of cookies for $70 on their website!
😮😮😮
For those who have a lot of allergies, it would be worth it.
@@vitaluka Your comment reminds me of the scene from Arrested Development, when the oblivious wealthy mother says "what could a banana cost? $10?"
@@vitaluka worth it to buy 12 cookies for 70$? are u nuts? id rather not ever eat cookies again, then pay 70$ for 12 of them.
I’m lactose intolerant and I’m pretty sure I’m gluten intolerant too. I would and DO continue to suffer and ENJOY my sweets than pay that much! $70?! Fvck me!
Who was the smart one cutting a cookie with a fork...
Crumbl copyright?
I don't care if it's gluten-free, paleo, or whatever other category it can be shoved into, $6 for a cookie is insane.
Barb is a no brainer
You’re right, 0 brain cell, no brainer
So distracting how after every 4 words she raises her inflection like its a quesTIONNN

She's from New Zealand...it's what we do 😂
😂@@andysmith1669
If its good ingredients its worth the calories. I would rather eat a couple of nutritious cookies for 600 calories than half that in ultra processed junk.
Plus you’ll consume double of the ultra processed junk because they aren’t filling
@@vitalukathe quality of ingredients is better than average but it is still carb heavy and coconut sugar is still sugar. I wouldn't describe it as healthy food.
Nutritious cookies? Haha. Its still 35% sugar. I would rather not eat a cookie than walk 3 miles just to burn off calories of 1 cookie 😂
I'm so early Barbara called me to tell me she's out
She was in on this one.
You made your comment before finishing the video and for that reason, Barbara's back in.
And therefore, for that reason, I’m out
Barbara is in and for that reason, shes out
@@Equilibrium123 It's true you got me 😂damn the one time she's in lmao my bad
Using grammarly, and for some reason when I type Barbara it auto corrects with "I'm Out"
Im so glad Mark brought up the calories. To me eating healthy is not high calorie. If I am on a diet I am not going to waste the majority of my calories on a cookie that wont fill me up
Calories matter?? Would they prefer more sugar instead of healthy oils?
Those other sharks were definitely the wrong ppl for the biz.
They might just prefer not to invest in sweets at all lol.
I don’t think you understand weight is tracked through calorie intake, Mark and Lauri can’t get behind that since they watch their calorie intake. It’s as simple as that, 300 calories for a little cookie is insane
@@NickSiebecker I wonder if Mark sold his stake in The Yard Milkshake Bar. Those probably have the most calories I've ever seen in a milkshake.
I did not think their names were amazing. Pitch ends there.
i really can’t stand these over-the-top pitches, and for this one in particular they could have gotten the point across in 1/3 of the time
My first time seeing Barbara made a deal and I hope they are doing well ... I can see a need in this market too - high quality GF/DF etc. product is very hard to find
The ooouu makes me remember of Enrique Iglesias
Was intrigued to buy some... $40 for 6 brownies?! that's insane
6:08 “mark just get under the squat rack with a 250 lbs barbell 🙄”
'..it's real food..' lol
Before I read comments I just had a feeling someone already said TOooooooooo.
Barbara: "In the past i was a cougar - now i wan wanna be a suger moma - and for that reason I'm in"
$80 for some strange cookies. 😅😅😅. 300 calories for one cookie vs a slice of New york style cheesecake for 500 calories. Crazy cookie.
Who else was thinking the whole time that the guy kind of looked like Justin Trudeau 😂😂
I see it but now that Trudeau has his facial hair it’s not that much of a look alike situation
300+ calories for one cookie?! And you’re selling them in 4,6 and 12 packs?! A 4 pack will give you half of your recommended daily food intake. A 12 pack is almost double to recommended daily caloric intake. That’s bonkers!
Welcome to desserts. That’s not all that uncommon.
@@gabrieldavis4434 The food society isn’t what it was 10 years ago. It’s morphed. A lot of people ain’t looking to eat an entire days worth of calories with a packet of cookies
@@peaceistheanswer275those same people aren’t consuming 4 cookies a day
A single Crumbl cookie is around 700, but they tell you a serving is 1/4 of a cookie-they're still plenty successful.
Ofc the two sharks with EDs are out lol
Beverages is one of the most competitive spaces to break in too plus they are absolute money pits..
300 calories per cookie? Worth every single one if you ask me! 💪
Barbara closed it!!!!!😂😂
In this moment... Barbara is the best fit... ❤❤❤
When Mark pointed out the amount of calaories these treats have... i am like. Isn't the whole reason why its plant based so it can be HEALTHY? I guess this is good for vegetariains.
Not at all. The whole point is so that people with allergies can eat it and 300cals is good for them so they can hit their calorie intake.
I’m skeptical it tastes good. These kind of things always taste like s*** in my experience
Well yeah avoid eggs gluten saugar and alomost everything to make a product isnt easy hence the product
Wow those cookies sound like crap so they're made of what cardboard disgusting
a fork to eat cookies/brownies is wild
Where the calories are coming from is more important , being plant based I'd be worried about them containing seed oils , but these guys have done so well on there own they don't need these sharks , must just be for the show
very similar packaging to Crumbl
So many of these pitches are hokey and cringeworthy and then the judges seem to truly enjoy them
If Shark Tank taught me anything, it's that you can ONLY be an entrepreneur IF YOU'RE MARRIED (or at least in a strong relationship). I don't think I've ever seen an episode where someone said they were single. And at least 90% of them said they were married.
They immediately kill the will of us who are single. It's as if they tell us "don't try to start anything, you won't succeed". 😥
I think that woman with the puzzle business was single (or at least she never mentioned a partner)
Because if you're married, you are more likely to do WHATEVER it takes to make your business succeed. If you're single and your business starts falling, you'd be 'Meh, I give up.'
this comment is dumb and the opposite of what you said, you can only be an entrepreneur if you're strong enough yourself not bc of someone else
Because married people have something to lose unlike single people. Married people have someone depending on them. Single people don’t and tend to take higher risks with less reward.
what a terrible, weak outlook... wow
id rather snack longer with something that is 100calories and have 6 for 600 over having 2 of something really good because i wanna snack as long as possible for as low calories as possible. There is no chance id buy these. Kind of like ice cream, sure the super high calorie ice cream is better but icant eat a 1000 calorie pint. I can however get halo top ice cream and eat a pint for 330 calories and i prefer that even though it doesnt taste as good AND is more expensive usually.
I don’t know you but your comment makes it seem like you’d prefer to eat your problems but for lower calories, are you okay?
@@vitaluka no i just like to be semi health conscious. From a business standpoint that is the trend lately as well. So I don't see this making a ton of money. Im on the same boat as Mark has nothing to do with problems haha that was a very odd assumption. But it is the internet so that is expected..
They chose the right shark. Barbara was the one on this one 👏
Some of these sharks are so out of touch its crazy. Allergy friendly isn't a health trend its something real people have to go thru and they actually STRUGGLE to get calories since they have so little options and the options that are allergy friendly are always low cal.
Recipe developer means take other people recipes change 3 ingredients and make them your own
it's just me or Im really seeing 2 mark cubans...
They should have taken Kevin and Jason’s offer at least i would have
Got to swim about 60 laps in a 25 meter pool to burn one of these off!! No thank you!
Sooo good for Barbara... so many close ups just when she injected her face !
Those pink boxes with the cookie on it looks too much like Crumbl's logo
This poor dude had to scheme his way to the show just to finally clue his girlfriend in that she farts too much. Created a whole product line of cookies and everything in the process. Legit hilarious I almost woke up the house laughing at this.
300 calories for a tasty cookie that's made from real food? This is every skinny mans dream way to gain weight.
Kevin with yet another L
but kevin sticks to his guns. he is the true discipline investor. Barbara has her niche that she goes after...she is a the frugal investor that you can predict when she goes out and why...even through she spew Bs excuse, but its the price.
@@KieferNguyen Yeah, also Kevin is the most likely Shark to offer a deal. He's usually the only one willing to invest while the others our out.

Mark Cuban likes eating these products 😂😂
Nice episode.
I'm sick of ''healthy'' products, can you do something else for the show? 90% is about this
11 seconds barbara🤣
no one is thinking that
Add Protein to it!!
Asking most Western culture women "Would you be ok if you never cooked again?" would be like asking most Western culture men "Would you be OK if you never had to commute to work again?" .
I’m allergic to coconut. All of their recipes contain coconut. 🙁
why is Kevin & Barbra always competing for investments😭
Completamente desagradable.
Stop with the calories. Fat is what you should worry about. Protein has calories.
I'm already waiting for all the Barbara comments
I’m not signing yet
Yay, completely artificial desserts - so healthy 🙄
yea mark & Lori, I'm eating desserts to manage calories ofc lol
