Her alternately screaming "Chris" and "Steve" was all I needed from this.
Heart warming.
Both her and you.
Yeah I could totally relate to her I sometimes say the actors name instead of the characters name when I’m watching a movie
same, loved it haha
and then in Endgame she screams "CAP!!"
Okay
Something that bugs me is that people don’t realize that Cap wasn’t just enhanced physically, the serum enhanced his brain as well. Near photographic memory, gift for languages, increased muscle memory, etc. It also hardwired his brain for combat, Cap is literally a fighting machine.
Yeah anyone with out the serum would probably die in the modern world
One of the greatest thing I heard about Cap is how he uses the shield. Imagine getting to calculate the right amount of force to KO someone, have it bounce back several times and catch it. On the fly. All the time.
But he can also win Nobel peace prizes too and graduate from MIT like 5 times with that supersoldier serum brain.
@@jasonvoorhees310 idk bro i feel like literally _saving the universe_ several times beats goin to uni 💀
Yep
Fun Fact: When Steve comes out of the capsule all buff and Peggy goes to touch his chest but stops suddenly, the actress said flat out that that was an ad lib on her part because she, herself, wanted to touch Chris' chest and then realizes she is suppose to be acting.
I can only imagine what Twitter would be saying if they were switched around
For my money, Steve's forlorn "It's just...I had a date..." is the saddest moment in MCU. He's so lost and utterly alone in that moment.
I can think of a few sadder moments...
@@toddsmitts It's all purely subjective. I guess technically I'd have to say the entirety of "Thor: The Dark World" is the saddest moment in MCU, but that's for a very different reason.

Too soon.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
nooooooo....
Why would you attack with feels like that man! 🥺
I gotta say, as a U.S. army veteran, I ALWAYS cry when I watch this movie. When Bucky falls, when Cap crashes....I always lose it. A fellow soldier and very close friend of mine was killed overseas just six months after his first child, a son, was born. That was almost 14 years ago. My son is 16 now. So when I see Cap wake up, I cry again, for all of us who live, and for all those we leave behind. I know, it's a superhero movie, but for me it's the most relatable of them all, because even a super soldier has to face the reality of loss and sacrifice. No soldier wants war, but every soldier is there to see it finished.
Ok, now I’m crying too.
thank you for your service! war is cruel. 💔
Its your friend's fault for deciding to fight for a country that can't stay out of people's business. You're a murderer complicit to the evils america has caused.
So well said! Thank you for your service and the courage to face the losses that came with it.
Thank you for your service

That line at the end: “I had a date.” Always gets me😢

Truth ! Im waiting for it
When the grenade is thrown, Agent Carter is the ONLY other person to run towards it. It really informs her heroism.
Thank you Mark. No one ever notices that. Also she can hit a target with a .32 pistol at what 300 feet. Amazing right? Mild X factor like Hawkeye.
I'm pretty sure she knew it was a fake as well, though.
she went after Steve
@@davidnobre5660 is it
it's only heroic if you have a means to stop it (i.e. throwing it, you're wearing a bomb suit). otherwise it's foolish - the platoon will just be one man/woman down, everyone would still be injured, and you would've sacrificed yourself for literally nothing. but it does look good in movies i suppose
The Agent Carter show is a treasure and I'm still pissed it only had two seasons.

"I had a date" so much sadness in one sentence.
Your reaction to Bucky falling off the train was literally mine. I had no words.
any time i rewatch this movie, i have to look away and mute. i literally can't watch it again ever.
Hey guys! For those wondering, I DID watch the end credit scene for this movie, but decided to leave my reaction to it out. I have to make a lot of cuts in these edits to guarantee these videos fall under fair use. Ultimately, I wanted to keep so many moments in that the end credit had to go. Thanks for understanding and hope you enjoy the video!!
Its ok. The post credit scene for this is just a trailer lol
Any chance the remaining Firefly shows will surface? Sorry, it's just that I love them so much, and as far as Reactors go, you're my favorite! [ass-kissing beginning...NOW!

Nat I hate reactors. You're literally the only one I watch. (Aside from millennial movie Monday - crossover?!) you rock. MORE MARVEL ASAP PLEASE.
"Don´t flirt with him he´s... Almost taken." - I loved that so much.
Also, that's Natalie Dormer, AKA Margery Tyrrel from Game of Thrones, so naturally she's playing a bit of a Home Wrecker
LOVE that Peggy was already in love with Steve way before he got buff. So wholesome. She was literally about to eat him alive in the car ride to the lab.
at the end of the ride and when he returned with the soldiers, the eyes she gave him. she also was in awe of him when he was drawing the map that he remembered
I would not say that she was full tilt, balls to the wall in love with him, but she was falling, and she was falling hard. It's a good thing Steve got buff so he could catch her and stop her fall more easily.
This is so true. We see in Endgame she has a photo of Steve on her desk... it's of him like this, not after the serum.
Literally? You mean she was Literally a cannibal?
Natalie's reaction for The First Avenger is genuinely so nice. I remember watching it in theaters when it came and had most of same thoughts and feelings for how nice Steve and Bucky's bromance is shown and just how emotionally moving this gem of a film is compared to the past ones of Phase One. I honestly never cried that much from a superhero film from that time. Thanks for a golden vid Natalie 💛
Straight hair Natalie is the shocking plot twist none of us anticipated, but I am absolutely here for it.

One nice touch in the background is when Steve is talking to Peggy over the radio. As soon as Steve radios in, Colonel Phillips ushers the other people in the control room out. He knows pretty much right away that this isn't ending well.
Nat: "Is he going to have a Mulan moment?!"
Me: Well yes, but actually, no...
My favorite thing is after the grenade thing, Colonel Tommy Lee Jones just says, "He's still skinny."
Agent Peggy Carter is best girl in the MCU, and Hayley Atwell is stunning in the role. The TV show is two seasons of fun.
Yes! Natalie has to react to Agent Carter.
Looking forward to seeing her in the next MI: movie (a series I don't normally watch).
Hayley Atwell is so gorgeous. Wish she could have had a bigger role in MCU.
Both seasons were good but I liked season 2 much better.
If you want a kick ass female lead Nat ya gotta watch Agent Carter
Hey, German speaker here: All American, Canadian and even British cities are pronounced and spelled the same in German :)
Schreib deutsch !
Spelled, yes. But pronounced? Mostly, but not all. For example "London" (pronounced in German with an "o" like "on"). ;)
@@neilarcher6451 they only had to read/write the names, so pronunciation doesn't come into it
@@neilarcher6451 Well yes, but if that's how you wanna build your case then let's just say that Americans and Brits will pronounce "Liverpool" differently. It's an arbitrary difference in accent/dialect.
The difference I'm talking about is: Munich in German is actually called and pronounced "München."
"Vienna," the capital of Austria is spelled and pronounced "Wien."
But all 50 US States are the same and New York is New York and not "Neu York" which would be a literal translation.
In German, "English cities" don't have a German designation/translation, as German cities have in English. Berlin and Salzburg are exceptions of that though. They're the same in English
Wait, so “New York” is spelled “new” and not “neu” in German?
"Who's Hydra?" Well, we could tell you, but THAT is why this franchise is 23 films... and counting...
the "i had a date" line is probably my favorite ending to an mcu movie ever
Just realising that Carter standing in front of a car to get the best shot off is just like Rodgers throwing himself onto a grenade. They really are made for each other.
Notice that she was running towards the grenade too.
makes endgame even more wholesome
"You've to go against your fricken instinct and reflexes to do that!"
Those ARE Cap's instincts, that's what makes him who he is.
And Peggy's instinct too, as she was running towards the grenade too.
There are quite a few documented instances of soldiers or Marines throwing themselves on a grenade to save their friends.
A similar event took place late in the Pacific war; a B-29 fired a flare as a signal. Something went wrong & the flare ended up _in the plane_ activated. It was burning magnesium or something else that would burn through metal, and the plane was full of incendiary bombs. A crewman *picked the flare up with his bare hand* and tossed it it out a window. True story. And yes, he lost his hand.
"Me forgetting there are other cold places"
I cracked up.
The super-soldier serum is what Bruce Banner was attempting to recreate when he became The Hulk.
Fun fact: Peggy wasn’t meant to be that flustered when Cap came out of the Machine that was Hayley’s genuine reaction to Chris’s body, as no one saw what he looked after his work out routine prior to filming that scene! ( you can even see her instinctively try to touch his chest In The scene. She wasn’t meant to do that but the director thought it was funny. 😂)
She told the story at Wizard World Comic Con back in... 2015 I think? It was her first time seeing him shirtless and she was so flustered that she "impulsively just grabbed his boob" (in her words).
Jeez...can you imagine the hue and cry if a male actor reached out to cop a quick feel the first time he saw his buxom co-star in a skimpy bikini top?
Yep, they kept the take cos it was just such a natural reaction.
You believe everything actors tell at press?

“The serum gave you good aim, too?”
Yup. And a photographic memory.
Just here to watch Natalie well up whenever she's not screaming. It's like watching these movies for the first time.
I need more warning when she's about to scream because I have to blast the audio just to hear the movie she keeps low for strike reasons, only to have her scream at mass volume in my eardrums and make them hurt like hell.

This is the beginning of one of the greatest stories of a character... the journey is absolutely unreal
In the first issue of the Captain America comic Captain America had the type of shield he uses in the War Bonds scenes. A rival comic company complained that they had a similar character with a similar shaped shield. In response Marvel changed Captains America's shield to be round and of course he was then able to use it in the now iconic throwing style we are familiar with.
LIttle advice: Don't look at the cast or look at any images of Captain America: Winter Soldier before watching it ;)

"Hercules was also scrawny before all that training". Not in actual mythology. In the Myths Hercules was always supernaturally strong. As a baby he choked a large snake that was sent into his crib to kill him, with his bare baby hands.

Yes Hercules does kill the hydra in actual Greek mythology but t part about him being scrawny is purely Disney in Greek mythology he was always muscular and strong
Yeah, the whole idea of "zero to hero" after all is a very modern concept, tied to the notion of the American dream, and everyone being able to succeed if they work hard. The ancient Greeks were big instead on the notion of being "kalos to agathos", beautiful and virtuous, namely, that not only you were supposed to be born good, but that good looks and moral goodness went hand in hand. Heroes were just cool from birth (due to being the children of gods, after all). Peasants ought to stay in their place. They had a bit of a different outlook than we do.
Pretty sure the Hydra regrowing it's heads was a later addition to the myth as well. It originally just had a lot of heads, then it regrew them, then it regrew them plus another head.
@@lapelcelery42 Nope.
The Lernaean Hydra was the second task of Heracles, it regrew two heads for each cut off, and it's middle head was Immortal. Heracles realized he couldn't defeat it, and asked his nephew Iolaus for help, who came up with the idea of using a firebrand (torch) to scorch the stumps after each decapitation. He used a Golden Sword (from Athena) to cut the immortal head.
There is an alternate version that he cut off one head, and dipped his sword in its venom, and that burned each stump.
