That film is one of the most incredibly well done spider-man and animated films ever. They put an ungodly amount of work and love into it and it shows.
When I watched this movie the first time I kept saying to myself "WTF happened to Fury? He didn't used to be like this." Then the aftercredits scene came up and I felt so validated. HAHA
Caseytify It was also a plot point in _Captain Marvel_ that no one calls him by his first name. He spots that his boss is a Skrull when he calls him "Nicholas"
"He's gonna have to *leave* he's gonna have to leeaaave!" And that is Spider-Man and Peter Parker's relationship. Spider-Man lets Peter do immense amounts of good, at the cost of Peter's personal life and happiness.

@@inzaghiscornsalad7034 no, the opposite. Captain Marvel saved Talos family and a lot of his people. He has mad respect for her and it was probably meant more as a “you are not worthy to evoke her name” thing
Spider-man and Daredevil are the only MCU characters who've managed to keep their identities secret up to this point. Of course it was only a matter of time before his identity was revealed. I like how anyone who knows the comics like me instantly saw the twist literally when mysterio was announced. Kind of hard to not see it coming because mysterio is one of Spider-Man’s oldest villains.
Yep. I'm not a comic reader but I remember friends who immediately jumped on that when this movie's teaser came out. That is one of my fav things about this franchise. Sure, I know surface level stuff about most of these superhero's. But it's VERY clear that compared to my comic book reader friends, I know about 5% of what they know, and their anticipation factor only amplifies mine. It's fantastic!
@@TedBrogan yeah bummer for me that I read the infinity war book when the movie was just a rumored title so I already knew Thanos was gonna snap at the end lol. but that book was way more dense and had more characters.

Mysterio as a villain is really well done. He preys on Peter's defining personality trait. I'll be very disappointed if Peter goes back to being innocent and naive in the next movie.
I think like a good number of technologies displayed in this franchise, there is surely some creative license at play here. It's very easy to manipulate how realistic something like that would look using state of the art CGI effects. Holographic tech is still basically XBox level right now, and that ain't fooling anyone.

That tangent about the color pink was fun. I love how you got to the point of saying that you just don’t like admitting to liking pink. Honestly that was awesome. Totally genuine stream of consciousness that culminates in a humble admittance a minor “fault” or “flaw”. And it wasnt edited out! Good job Nat!
marvel every time they need a new villain: tony stark didn't tip for his pizza once...man this is going to be such rich backstory for the guy I'm about to have blow up a school bus
As a Belgian, the scenes in the Netherlands are absolutely hysterical. I watched it with non-dutch speaking friends and they did not understand why it was so funny to me. Also I know a girl from Broek Op Langedijk and she's a marvel fan so I'm sure she absolutely flipped when she saw this.
The bald "who is this guy" that Jeff Bridges was yelling at is actually Peter Billingsley, who was one of the producers of Iron Man, and... he's the "you'll shoot your eye out" kid in Christmas Story
As fun as this movie was, it’s truly bizarre that Tony deciding to give a teenager sole control over an army of assault drones is a significant plot point.
It's the same guy who brought a 15 year old to Germany to fight half the Avengers. Or stuffed too much tech in his first suit. Why the f did he have an instant kill mode?
I'm even more baffled by his security protocols. Happy may have "password" as his password but ffs, at least he has _a_ password. EDITH could mishear him saying "I want to kiss MJ" and go "Ok. Killing MJ" and fire a missile at his girlfriend from orbit.
@Parvis I mean, the movie is a lot of fun. It's just really not something you can take seriously. Honestly, I'm just kinda sad _this_ specific version of Spider-Man is tied into the MCU, because Tom Holland is great and everything involving character interactions is funny and cute. But having introduced him through Civil War means now it's always like his character is a sidekick of Iron Man. This makes it two movies now where the main conflict isn't protecting the city or just being a good friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, but cleaning up the messes that were caused by Tony's own irresponsibility. But by all means, Into the Spider-Verse was a better Spider-Man _and_ superhero movie than anything the MCU has done yet.
this movie honestly broke my heart. peter lost the only person who truly believed in him and his only other father figure. this movie truly showed how heart broken he was about tony dying. then he actually started to fill that gap with mysterio only for him to betray peter and almost kill him. he’s never gonna trust anyone again.
Fun fact: in the winter soldier video, Nat said that cap's disguise of a simple cap and glasses wasn't very good. But then in this movie, she didn't notice Mysterio wearing the exact same disguise in the background at 8:40
I was hoping to see your reaction to when Flash's parents didn't pick him up at the airport. That scene humanized him and gave an understanding as to why he acts the way he does.

Just a fun fact. Mr. Harrington (Martin Starr), the teacher was actually in another MCU movie. He played the student who got the free pizza from Edward Norton in The Incredible Hulk.
1. Your editing team is brilliant. 2. It's not in the MCU (technically) (for now) but SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDERVERSE is not just a great movie, it's _art._ and I don't just mean it's animation. I mean it is a work of art on all levels. Must. See.
Jake Jylanhall's character Mysterio, was one of spidey's earliest villains in the comics. Though his origin way completely different in the movie. He's also an original member of the sinister 6 (in the comics) along with Electro, Dr. Octopus, the scorpion, the lizard man, and the green goblin.
For years I never saw why Mysterio was a dangerous villain as his power was illusion. It wasn't until this movie that showed how dangerous they could be; placing him in on train tracks, etc.
Well Nat, now that you completed the first three phases of the MCU, I might as well tell you what shows you can expect after Wandavision, Falcon and Winter Soldier, and Loki season 1 which releases next month. Don't worry: I'll keep it spoiler-free. First there's Marvel Studios' first animated series What If? starring Jeffrey Wright as Uatu the Watcher. Many MCU actors return to reprise their respective roles. The first season will consist of ten episodes and a second season is in development. Then coming this fall is Ms. Marvel. Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan, and she will also team up with Captain Marvel in the upcoming movie previously titled Captain Marvel 2 now The Marvels coming November of next year. Also coming this fall, while Hawkeye might not get his own movie, he'll at least get his own miniseries. Hailee Steinfeld finally joins as Kate Bishop. As for movies, we have three coming out this year: First, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in September. Then The Eternals comes out in November. Taking place after Endgame, this team of heroes who have been around for years are forced to come out of hiding and reconvene when their enemies the Deviants begin to run amok. This features a huge ensemble cast including Angelina Jolie, Selma Hayek, Brian Tyree Henry, Don Lee, Kumail Nanjiani, and Kit Harrington. Gemma Chan also returns to the MCU as one of the Eternals. She was Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel 2019. Finally in December, we wrap up the year on a happy note with Spider-Man: No Way Home. Doctor Strange will be in this movie. And thanks to a recent agreement, this movie will eventually be available on Netflix and will make its' way over to Disney Plus some time after. Homecoming and Far From Home will also be available on Disney Plus fairly soon. Next March we kick off with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Elizabeth Olsen returns as Wanda Maximoff, and Xochitl Gomez from Netflix's Babysitters' Club joins as America Chavez. Next May, Thor gets his fourth film titled Love and Thunder. Taika Waititi returns to direct as well as portray Korg. Jane Foster, Valkyrie, and Lady Sif will all return as well as the Guardians of the Galaxy. Speaking of the Guardians, they're gonna have their own Holiday Special coming to Disney Plus late 2022. This will connect to Volume 3 coming May 2023. On a side note, Groot will have his own series of animated shorts simply called I Am Groot. The following three shows don't have official release dates yet, but they're coming next year: She-Hulk starring Tatiana Maslany as the title character Jennifer Walters, Hulk's cousin. Speaking of, Mark Ruffalo will return. Moon Knight starring Oscar Isaac as the title character Marc Spector who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. Secret Invasion starring Sam Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn reprising their roles as Nick Fury and Talos. For now, we can assume this takes place right after their phone call at the end of Far From Home. These two other shows are also in development: Ironheart starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams. She's a more recent Marvel Comics character. Riri builds her own Iron Man suit and becomes the title hero. Speaking of Iron Man (sort of), Don Cheadle returns as James Rhodes/Rhodey/War Machine in his own show called Armor Wars. In this series, Rhodey deals with Tony Stark's tech falling into the wrong hands while also coping with the loss of his friend. Them Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will premiere February 2023. This is Paul Rudd's last film in his current contract with Marvel Studios, but hopefully he renovates and we see him again in the future. We're also gonna get new versions of Blade and the Fantastic Four. Blade will star Mahershala Ali and the new F4 will be directed by MCU Spider-Man director Jon Watts. Finally, regarding Black Panther 2 coming next July: Chadwick Boseman delivered a wonderful performance as T'Challa/Black Panther and left behind a wonderful legacy built up from his career. So out of respect for the late actor, they will NOT recast T'Challa. Instead, they will honor him and the legacy he helped build by bringing back most of the starring characters from the first film and further exploring the roots of Wakanda. To that end, the movie will now be called Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Ryan Coogler returns to direct and will also create a brand new Disney Plus series taking place in Wakanda.
Nah bruh it’s not even close, it’s better compared to Spider-Man 3 (2007) and TASM 2 (2014) and it’s slightly better compared to TASM 1 (2012) but both Spider-Man (2002) and Spider-Man 2 (2004) remain THE best Spider-Man movies EVER made with absolutely no competition, let’s see where No Way Home (2021) lands but imma say if it ain’t a Spider-Verse movie then it won’t be on the same level of Raimi’s first two movies
I genuinely enjoy all the reaction videos that you do and will continue to hold my breath for each new one that comes out! My only criticism is that the length of the intros can get to be super long and drawn out and I sometimes find myself fast-forwarding to when the reaction part actually begins as you do an amazing job with that aspect of it! I'll admit it's nit-picky, but there it is :) Keep up the good work!
Spiderman and Peter's sense of duty to be hero screwing up Peter's love life was a constant source of drama and angst in the comics from day one. I'm glad the films nail that aspect of the comics.
Did you ever notice Mr Harrington (The bearded teacher) was also in The Incredible Hulk? He's the guy Bruce gives the pizza to. In that movie he was supposed to be Amadeus Cho from the comics, but (thankfully) instead he was someone else, who graduated, and now teaches in Peter's school. MCU: Planning ahead :D
29:23 Looks like Fury was in Tahiti, albeit virtually. Even still, I hear it's a magical place. Speaking of which, is there any chance of you reacting to Agents of Shield or Agent Carter?
That was one of the best theater moments ever for me. Everyone collectively lost their shit. On par with some of the best moments in Endgame even, honestly.
Natalie : I am interested what they are going to do with another Spiderman movie (Literally most hyped and talked about movie in the MCU , Spiderman no way home)
I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion but it is the only movie I am planning on skipping and I usually see everything on opening night. "No way Home" Sounds like one big convoluted mess prompted by Sony's desire to tie everything together to promote their movies.
I have to say, I love Ned. I grew up with a good friend like him that would cover for me when I snuck out at night to meet up with... well.. people I shouldn't have (live and learn), but if you got a friend that has your back, keep him or her. They are worth more than gold and will always have a place in your heart.
Part of the joy of this series is honestly how little Natalie knows about comic books. I know that sounds like a dig, but it really isn’t. At no point in the marketing, lead up, or while watching the movie did I trust Quentin Beck/Mysterio because of what he is in the comics. That made the twist expected, but no less satisfying to see for me, particularly because we got the high def, mega budget version of his illusions that the animated series tried to achieve. However, seeing Nat get blindsided by it is a unique experience and really fun to see! Can’t wait for WandaVision.

I hope they also bring the Hunter kravnov, kingpin and maybe molten

Mysterio's illusions on Peter, when they first fight each other, gives me such a pure feeling of fear.

As fun as this movie was, it’s truly bizarre that Tony deciding to give a teenager sole control over an army of assault drones is a significant plot point.
Tony's judgement in the MCU wasn't exactly the greatest. 😉

@@c-mc you are right lol
The following three shows don't have official release dates yet, but they're coming next year:
She-Hulk starring Tatiana Maslany as the title character Jennifer Walters, Hulk's cousin.
These two other shows are also in development:
Ironheart starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams.
This ryt here!!
Sure, Kate Bishop is worth mentioning, but you missed the _most important_ character of the Hawkeye series... Lucky the Pizza Dog! 😄

Part of the joy of this series is honestly how little Natalie knows about comic books. I know that sounds like a dig, but it really isn’t.
