Hi there!! Oh really that's awesome. All the Carribean islands are connected in some way for sure!! Kabrit is my fav!!! For sure I'll make it love. Give me some time to get to it 😘
Fell in love with this sauce. I didn’t use season salt or mojo. I used jalapeños because that’s what I had and dried red pepper. I did add the cilantro. I also used lime juice. I fed my Haitian in laws the Poule non sous on your channel and they loved it! I also used on pork and shrimp. My jar is already gone in 5 days! This was amazing!!❤
Hi Joy!! 5 days woah!!!!! That's a lot of cooking lol. I can't cook without this epis because it really adds a lot of flavor to my dishes. I'm so happy your family enjoyed the chicken in sauce!! I love that you adjusted the recepie to make it yours. I always encourage ppl to do that because I don't like spicy food I never add peppers but people who do will love it with peppers. I love the lime juice tip, will try that next time I make epis 😋
Great video! I have no idea how I got to your video, but I must say I LOVE IT! I don’t know anything about Haitian cooking, but would love learn more by watching your videos. Blessings ❣️

Hey love!! I appreciate you. Girl, I'm working on videos now to put out starting November. The procrastination is real, but I'm working on it. It's the editing that's killing me!!
@@lisascaribbeankitchen5482 I saw you post something about your youtube channel on Facebook when I was logged on a few weeks ago. In my search for that channel, I came across your cooking channel. This video came up on my feed without me even searching for it.
Oh wow, that's awesome to know!! Thanks for taking the time out to watch, comment and subscribe love. I really appreciate it! If you try the epis, come back and let us know how it worked out for you.
Haitian Food = PEPPER!! I don't like spicy hot food that's why I don't use it love. I usually blend 1 Scotch Bonnet pepper in the epis and that's all the spice I personally need. I do use ground cloves but not in my epis because everything doesn't go with cloves in my opinion like Bouyon but I use my epis in almost everything which is why I leave it out the epis.
Hi Jennifer! You store this epis in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks. If you make more than you need for 4 weeks then you can freeze it until you're ready to use. Thanks for watching love 💕
There are many many versions to "Haitian" epis. You may do yours differently but this is how my family do ours. You're free to be a little more nicer and share your version in the comment, I'm interested to see how many ingredients in your authentic version is really different from what I'm using. Thanks for watching!

Do you know how to make lalo? if so can you please do a video on it?
Great information. I need a Ninja blender
It works great!!
Adding Salt to all the other sodium ingredients? Id leave out Salt. It will taste just fine with all the other seasonings which are high in sodium.

Lisa, I always think about cloves and hot pepper when I think about Haitian food, but I see you aren't using them. Is that a regional thing?
