Haitian Food Recipe | How to Make Haitian Epis

  • Hello Everyone! Welcome to Magg's Kitchen aka the BEST Haitian food on UA-cam! I was born & raised in Haiti. I have always had a love for cooking since I was a little girl. I also enjoy gardening and being active during the warmer seasons. I created this channel to share my love for cooking with the entire world. These recipes are easy to follow and will leave your friends & family begging for more!
    Today I will be making Haitian Epis. Epis serves as a seasoning base for most Haitian foods. Epis can be stored in your fridge for up to 2 months.
    Ingredient list:
    1 cup scallion
    1 cup parsley
    1 cup cilantro
    3/4 cup green pepper
    3/4 red pepper
    3/4 cup orange pepper
    3/4 cup yellow pepper
    1/2 cup thyme
    1/2 cup vinegar
    1 cup sour orange
    5 garlic cloves
    2 hot peppers
    2 teaspoons of garlic salt
    3 cubes of chicken flavor bouillon
    2 tablespoons of maggi (optional)
    2 tablespoons of seasoning salt

    Is it traditionally made cilantro ? I’m just asking because I seen a video that didn’t include it.

      I make mine with cilantro because of the flavor but people make it in many different ways

    What kind of hot peppers?

      You can use hot scotch bonnet. If you don’t want it spicy put 2-3. If you want it spicy put 4-5
