I LOVE this! I'm part Haitian and Haitian cuisine is a big part of who I am. My grandmother never showed me how make all this wonderful food so I'm very thankful for UA-cam videos like this that show me how and keep her memory alive while giving me something to pass down to my kids! ❤️
My first time trying it I was like OMG 😲 I need more my friend showed me how to make it and I been wanting to try it with some spicy shrimp on top of it all
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! I ate from a Haitian restaurant for the first time early last year, and I LOOOOVED the pikliz. I'll def make it this way so easy and convenient. Stay healthy and safe!
I lived in Haiti for about a year some 20 years ago. I've made banan pese many times since then. But, never pikliz. Don't ask why because this looks too easy! I think I'll be giving it a try very soon!
I love your recipe I would have never thought just using water instead of vinegar I make it with jalapeñoes instead of habaneros my family can't stand the heat I love habaneros I have a chocolate habanero tree and that's how I make pikliz for me
I just made it with Serrano peppers and it’s so good! I underestimated how spicy it would be, so my sinuses are clear and I added more cabbage and carrots lol!
Hi dear, Thank you so much for posting this video sister. Quick question dear, please reply to tell me "which State in USA is your location (I ask this question because I notice in this video you have access to habanero peppers which I have trouble finding)?"
My heart goes out to you momma, I'm homeschooling my twins as well 💞 but I'm going to try your recipe 👍🏽 it does seem simple and easy 😌 Thanks dear 😊💓🙏🏽
Good morning for Halloween 🎃 👻 the kids dress up and we watch it’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and other movies order pizza and wings and they ate candy I bought from Walmart I almost forget they made Halloween 👻 cookies
What do you do if you don't freeze your peppers? Meaning would you let it sit in water or would you still put it in the microwave even if the peppers are not frozen?
I noticed a difference using plastic ~ not so fresh after a day or so. Buy a mason jar at your local grocery store and you will taste the difference. Also, make sure to always use a clean spoon for scooping, that way no bacteria will form and it will stay tasty n fresh.
Pikliz(Pickled) you can’t pickle something without vinegar 🤷🏾♀️ That’s just vegetables in water! You can use less vinegar but none at all isn’t right.
I can always count on you for recipes! I love Pikliz but I’ve never prepared it myself. TY!

I’m from Trinidad, I love Haitian food🇹🇹❤️🇭🇹
I like how you show the kitchen tools used as part of the ingredients, more people should do that.

I love your authenticity! It's refreshing ♥️
Merci beaucoup
I gotta get one of those peelers! Can't wait to try this. I tried a recipe with vinegar and it didn't taste like the pikliz my friend makes.
I just made it with Serrano peppers and it’s so good! I underestimated how spicy it would be, so my sinuses are clear and I added more cabbage and carrots lol!
Did nothing on Halloween but watch your videos ❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️
Will definitely try this
I hate the vinegar 🤢🤮❗❗❗ I love the way you Make it ❤️💯💯
Yes will follow you
What's the shelf life of the pikliz, with no vinegar? Just lemon/lime juice and water
Never seen a recipe without vinegar or even with chicken bouillon. 🤔
Loving it 👍👍
Pikliz! First but looking forward to trying. Missed the name of the powder seasoning.
Maggie cubes

The green thing you added before the salt, what is it ?
So it doesn't have to sit in vinegar for some days
How long will it keep in the fridge?
How long does last if you want to keep in a jar?
what was the seasoning you put in before the salt?
Probably Maggie’s or adobo. Some ppl use both
Very authentic! ✅✅✅✅✅
Okay, so when are you coming to California to start your business here?
What do you do if you don't freeze your peppers? Meaning would you let it sit in water or would you still put it in the microwave even if the peppers are not frozen?
I would still recommend microwaving it to get some of the flavor out.
Wait to the veggies are raw?
Funny I’m watching this video and Halloween is in 2 days! 2021
Is it necessary for it to go into a glass jar? I didn’t have one so I used a plastic container.
I use both
Ok cool.. I didn’t know if there would be a difference in taste or not.

@@Wenlove777 Aw man, thank you.. I’ll have to transfer it. It’s only been day two so far.
I ne we made it with tomatoes. I like equal carrots to cabbages.
Don’t mess this up. If you make it with tomatoes, than it’s not pikliz
I don’t have habanero peppers near me. Can I use jalapeño?
It won’t be as spicy
@@LamiseO thank you lamise! I will have to search for it! I love your channel! Thank you for answering my question! Godbless you
What was the ingredient before the salt?
NOPE…NO MICROWAVE 🙅🏽. EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST FINE 😇👍🏾
Hmm looks delicious
Needs vinegar.
Since they know how to do it, I wouldnt make another video. Ppl are ridiculous 😂
I am a bro not a sis lmao
Seriously where do you see people using microwave to make pikliz? We have been authentic
I was lost. And the water too?
The peppers were frozen that is why she defrost them
