It’s one of those mods that people think is just for looks, it a decent lightweight set of wheels really makes a difference to performance and ride. I changed to a set of Advan GT wheels and saved 2kgs per corner, like you did and I was very impressed.
I'm still on stock height RPF1 17x8.5 with 245/40x17 and I use my car a lot for track work so tires are cheaper. Understanding that 4 inch ground clearance is the minimum over here in Australia otherwise you get pulled up, so my question is, is it really worth it to go down the stance route with the 18x9.5 and 265 tires and all the pulls, bolt relocations, scrubbing and spacers that you need to play with to get that perfect stance look?

They’re great man. My advice is if you want some, get them now if you can.. The JDM 8s (authentic) are nearly impossible to find. I regret not getting a set when they were readily available.

265 is a bit too aggressive of a tire. You can pull it off with a good roll and pull depending on the offset of the wheels..

No spacers. Rears are rolled and pulled.
Hey bro do you know if wheel alignments are necessary if you install the wheels yourself?
The installation yourself is irrelevant.. You are “supposed to” get an alignment anytime you change wheels/tires.
