Fortunately, although this girl and I didn't end up together, we recently reconnected on Facebook and became very good friends who are genuinely happy for the other. She had a bad first marriage as did I, and both of us got it right the second time. The best part is the four of us, her husband, my wife, and the two of us have become great friends.

This really is a great movie. Too bad you can't find it anwhere. Just 6 years after this movie it was my life. Senior in HS and my GF was a freshman. I was 17 and she was 13/14. I was a musician (drummer/piano/guitar). She was flag line. I ended up working for her mom as a tennis instructor at the club. Her parents even took me to Disney World with them.. They wanted us to get married....but that wasn't meant to be.. :( But this movie does make me smile and I love the music. Still have the original Album.

I was born in Dec. 1963, 5 months after Denise Miller and wished I was her in this movie! But 13 years old is a stretch (and oogy!) for the actress and premise for a movie about a relationship taboo. I wish the writers would have come up with a different reason for the love connection not working. I loved the soundtrack and bought the album. Still love the music to this day!

I was born in Dec. 1963, 5 months after Denise Miller and wished I was her in this movie! But 13 years old is a stretch (and oogy!) for the actress and premise for a movie about a relationship taboo. I wish the writers would have come up with a different reason for the love connection not working.
I loved the soundtrack and bought the album. Still love the music to this day!
