    Tip for cutting your felt for the magnet. Lay the felt on your metal bench, place magnet on felt, cut around magnet with a razor knife. No need for a writing implement and scissors. :) Love the Hacks.

    Hello! As a fisherwoman for a lifetime and love your diy projects but I have a very dumb question. I've seen the planner board and I'm curious what it's used for? Also I'm planning on making your black rod holder for my husband and I. Plus why haven't you showed how to use PVC as a good use in your ice chest instead of ice? A piece of PVC pipe and 2 end caps. Put some rock salt or regular salt, fill with 3/4 water. Seal and put in freezer til you need it. No mess! You can also paint them any color you like. Real good for tailgate party's.

    Great hacks , I done the hat and go pro a couple of years ago because I refused to pay the high price for the one you buy . The spinning reel hack is awesome . I've tied my lure on and forgot to put it behind the bail .

    Credit to Moomoo outdoors, fish grips work well as an anchor clamp also. Its something usually on hand all ready too. Nice for when space/weight is a factor like in a kayak. Gotta love dual purpose ideas because idk about you but I always have too much stuff lol. Thx for sharing all the interesting and helpful stuff. Always a pleasure, be well.

      You know what ,,,,,,,,, I never thought about using my Fish grips lol . Dang that's a great idea , I appreciate that . I've hit like 3 pair of em and I love em cause I can go netless . I mean I take a net when its necessary but I like saving space

    man oh man the hack about taking the spool off and opening the bail on the spinning reel. That one made me feel like a nut it was so brilliant . I've left my line out of the bail a good half dozen times. I cut and tie it back every time lol no more after this.

    Great hacks , the par cord price difference I did not know but I get my lock tire gel super glue from the hardware section because it is a lot cheaper over there than the school/office section . I use the super glue on my soft plastics !

    Threaded rod maybe a little lite for extensions for bigger fish or if real long. I made my on trolling rack with 3/8 rod but I have piece of 3/4 ENT sandwiched between base and t-bar. It’s as sturdy as the what bass is mounted to.

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  4 роки тому +1

      1/2" threaded rod is plenty strong enough , I wouldn't go over 12" but for that application there's no way 20lb can bent it , which nor many reels even have 20lbs of drag . I think my ProRockets only have 18lbs of drag but most ppl only run 5lbs while fishing . I really don't see em not being strong enough

    You can also wrap the magnets with felt bring the felt back over the magnet with a eyebolt and washers on both side(to help hold the felt . This way if your into magnet fishing where there's alot of iron or when it builds up you can unbolt and wash out all the trash off your magnet.
