I'm debating making some stylistic changes with Characters Explained videos. Potentially removing the 'ship' overlay. Let me know below if you think I should change it up or if you have any suggestions!
Bao-Dur seriously does not get enough love. I mean what he did was freaking amazing, even if terrifying. Not a lot of SW characters can claim to be able to build super weapons. I'm afraid not even I gave him enough attention when I was younger, but I do now for sire. Also his voice is soothing af. x'D
KOTOR I: Level up companions as quickly as possible and save all my levels until I become a Jedi. KOTOR II: Level up myself as quickly as possible and save all my companion levels until I earn enough influence to train them as Jedi.
My interpretation, especially with the restored content mod, is that Bao-Dur dies during the battle of Telos helping HK-47 reach the droid factory. Him and HK-47 sneak away during the Sith assault on citadel station, (Lieutenant Grenn and Atton both comment on their absence and you can't pick them for that mission) and when HK-47 is shown infiltrating the factory Bao-Dur is not present. Bao-Dur is also not present (At least, not physically) on the Ebon Hawk during the journey to Malachor V, and I see no reason for him not to go unless he had been captured or killed. I believe he left remote behind on the ship to carry out it's mission on Malachor, because he knew that getting HK-47 into the droid factory during a Sith assault on the planet was essentially a suicide mission. The voice of Bao-Dur that the Exile hears I believe is either a force ghost or more likely an echo of Bao-Dur that is present in the machines and the ship itself, which Bao-Dur has extensively repaired throughout the game. If you are playing as a darkside character, then once you get enough darkside points Bao-Dur tells Kreia that she is harming the Exile with her presence, to which Kreia responds by torturing Bao-Dur with memories of the Mass Shadow Generator's death and destruction at Malachor. She tells Bao-Dur: "Serve the Exile until it is your time to die, and it will be enough." (Which to my mind is foreshadowing) To top it off, there is also a cut line from the audio development diaries at the time, in which Bao-Dur says the line: "Make my sacrifice matter" ua-cam.com/video/e2Tqk6x3TiU/v-deo.html It was definitely the intent at some point during development, and his completely physical absence from the game from the attack on Citadel Station onwards strongly suggests to me that this is a logical interpretation of the restored content mod. The only thing I am not sure about is if the player doesn't activate HK-47 or the droid factory quest, since Bao-Dur still disappears but I guess there is no reason for him to sacrifice himself? If the droid factory is canon though, then Bao-Dur's death kind of has to be as well.
all zabraks, iridonian or dathomirian are force sensitive, just some a lot more or less than others. BattleMaster Kao Cen Durach and Darth Maul(full potential maul) would be the two most powerful Zabraks.

Well hello there early gang! This was greatly interesting as I've always been fond of Bao-Dur. To alone being able to build something capeable of crushing an entire planet.. Is there any information on what happened to his Telos project, did it succeed? I love his little joke story in the game about how he lost his arm: "Eh got tired of it, kept dropping things and getting in my way."
I liked him... i've a soft spot for over loyal friend and wounded soldiers in stories. plus i learn to like him, i thought his harm was cool ( the joke about it too)... the conversation between Bao-dur and Atton about how to hit on Meetra is priceless And gameplay wise the fact that he could deal so much different damage with his bare hands thank to his "energetic arm" i was fond of it. shame most jedi power can work without light saber in the game specially the jedi guardian engage jump.
Didn't Bao-Dur canonically die before the end of the game? His character slot is empty by the time you get to Malachor so supposedly he dies during the battle on either Onderon or Telos. There is even a mod which can be installed called "Bao-Dur's Fate" which fills in the gap in the vanilla version that just has him disappear.
I love listening to this guy before bed on a regular basis. Been waiting forever for a new kotor game that will inevitably be messed up. Been replaying kotor over and over for years. Best games ever. Period. This guy’s commentary is so good that he could convince you that you were watching something real on the history channel
Yeah Kreia is a traitor, but to be fair the she killed the Jedi Council for absolutely stabbing you in the back after going through the trouble of finding them to face the Sion and Nihilus. Bao-Dur might be my favorite companion in that game. It really is a shame that even with restored content, we never see his whole story. I'll believe he sacrificed himself in the assault on the HK factory, it made for a satisfactory ending where he helps take on a target that would have crippled the galaxy even if you succeeded in defeating Traya. And he still manages in death to put Malachor V to rest. Easily the best companion.
Fantastic and amazing video my friend as always. Bao-Dur is a fascinating character but everything I learned about him came from the fan made videos my friend sorry. My friend I'm not asking you to do a review but I hope you don't mind me talking about the latest episode of the Bad Batch series.
