  • I breed Silver Fox and Creme d’Argent rabbits for meat, breeding stock, and show. Rabbits are amazing little animals that have the ability to provide meat for even the smallest homestead, and I love helping people get started with them! Often times I’m asked questions about breeding, kindling, and raising rabbit kits (as well as choosing the best candidates from show or breeding stock). This is Part One of my 3-part series all about rabbit breeding & raising.

I appreciate your love for your rabbits, never be afraid to teach those that are just getting started with rabbits. There is a lot to learn about proper care for rabbits.Nothing beats being taught by someone that obviously loves their rabbits.Thank you for your videos and please don't hesitate to continue to be yourself!

30 seconds for breeding, 30 days for kindling!😂
Surely UA-cam will recognize this is animal husbandry, not human husbandry, and not penalize you for posting a very informative and helpful video.

Me and my wife are neither rabbits. We've watched lots of videos and have been trying to figure out how to tell the difference between the boys and the girls are the bucks and the dose. This is the first video that actually helped explain it to where we can now definitely figure out which one is. Which last time we tried to figure it out? We ended up with a pregnant rabbitwhen we didn't want one and so now thanks to this video and thanks to your help. We can keep from having that problem again and hopefully we continue.
Learning and moving forward with our new endeavor of raising rabbits

Loved the music during the second set of rabbits breeding! 🎶 ❤️ I’m glad you showed the genders for those of learning, we can’t learn if it is blurred out. Truly enjoyed watching your video. Informative and well done. One of the best I have seen out of many I have watched. Wish I had found you first. Your handling of the rabbits encouraged me to engage more with my own. As I am just getting started (2 weeks in) and have a 9 mo old Satin doe who charges and bites. She has gotten much, much better but forces me to be slightly fearful and constantly on guard with her. We are both having to learn to trust one another which is developing slowly. I haven't attempted to hold any of my 6 other rabbits due to the experiences I have had with her. Thank you for sharing!

I am new to your channel as well as rabbits. We added 4 does and a buck to our homestead of pigs, goats, chickens, ducks geese and quail this spring and have finally reach appropriate age/weight to begin breeding.
As a source of meat, we decide to go with Californians and New Zealands. Our only buck is a healthy 8 mo old Californian. I also have a 1yr old Californian doe and 3 New Zealand does ranging from 8mo to 1yr. I gained so much knowledge from this video and am so excited to watch and learn more from you!! Thank you for breeding responsibly and for sharing your knowledge and experience with all of us to ensure we become responsible breeders as well!

I so enjoyed the video! I’m excited to see the next two parts. Fingers crossed you get some blues and chocolates, I adore the look of the blue and lilacs (which I believe lilac is a dilute of chocolate?) I especially liked the information on the table breeding, I’ve watched multiple videos on breeding and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it done that way, but definitely has some positives of being able to reposition and pull out the buck if he gets in trouble! Heres to hoping you have some great stock and I’ll be able to get a few! I mentioned the show that you had mentioned to me and my husband told me he already knew he was going to need to build a bigger hutch than the 3 cage one I had planned. 😊 Most likely.

I have just bought 3 English Angoras (1buck 5 months old, 2 does 10 weeks old) and I’m trying to learn all I can about breeding them before they are old enough to start trying. I wish that I had a grown up 4 H program that would lead me and teach me. I want to be a good and responsible breeder.
Ps. I also copied your hutch set up. KW cages and had some guys build the hutch to hold them. So much better than cleaning trays everyday. With the angora wool they absolutely need to be in wire bottom cages. Very helpful video!!
