The only thing that could make these lessons even more prefect, would be the introduction of a few second snippet of how you are achieving the tone! That would be a huge help to building a knowledge base on that. Thanks for all the hard work!
Thank you Ryan! I don't do that mostly because I'm actually not getting very close to the original tone. I don't use real pedals or amps. It's just Guitar rig 5 through audio interface. Nothing fancy 😁
I Hope you already figured out that this is played on a baritone guitar tuned to B standard (5 half steps down). That plus a little overdrive is 90% of the tone.
That's awesome Coen! Always feels special when Patrons/UA-cam members like these videos :) If you want to request some other QOTSA songs write them in. I'll check them out :)
@@nikolagugoski There are so many haha. But something from their new album (Paper Machete or Emotion Sickness) or I Sat By The Ocean would be great! Ofcourse there are some more known songs by them like Go With the Flow I’d appreciate lessons on them aswell. Concluding, I don’t really mind which songs, I’d like lessons on all of ‘em. Thanks again!
I've been checking Emotion Sickness since it came out, so I might do it soon 😁 I've already done Go with the flow a month or so ago 😄 you can find it on the channel
Fuuuuuck man what an amazing lesson!!! You don't baby the student like every other teacher on youtube and it's so refreshing! I am still completely stumped on how you're nailing those triplets at the end of the solo but I am bound and determined. Thank you for this!
Amazing job! Nicely broken into sections esp for a song like this it’s needed but you made it very easy to understand. Nice moderate tempo also. Thank you
Nice cover man! I think the only thing missing is that in the chorus, when he plays the 16th fret on the C and the 14th fret on the F he picks it two times, but the rest is spot on, also, could you cover I Appear Missing by then?
@@nikolagugoski No worries, i only realised that detail listening to an isolated guitar track, with all the other instruments it gets buried in the mix
The video makes the song pretty easy to learn, the only annoying part is that I have no idea what preset to use on guitar rig 7 to make it sound at least somewhat similar to the original :/
Should I do more QOTSA? If yes, let me know in the comments which song should I do next. I'll try to tab the suggestion with most likes 🙂
Absolutely
yes, absolutely
maybe you should do the way you used to do, there are a lot of cool guitars
Song For The Deaf would be amazing! I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a tutorial for that one.
Mayby You try some offspring Stuff like ,,what happened to you” from smash album
"Head like a Hunted house" pleaseee
Love it! Yes more QOTSA! Would love to see/hear 3's & 7's....Paper Machete....Millionaire etc etc
Thank you! I'll definitely do more in the future 😉
More QOTSA please! They just dropped a new album and it’s absolutely incredible, please do Paper Machete, you’d love it!!
Yeah, I've been checking that one and Emotion Sickness from the new album. I might do them both in the future 🙂
I'm Gona just throw this out.......this is bloody amazing. Just the right pace and well put together. Even I might manage. Thank you sir! 😊😊😊

@@nikolagugoski it's always the great quest....to find the tone!

Thanks for this tab! You make it look easy!
I was just about to ask if you were going to do some QOTSA in the future and I see this in my inbox. Amazing Nikola!

Glad you liked it Zach! I remember having some trouble with those triplets haha 😆 even played slower like this
Rocking the blacktop tele! I recently got mine back after 7 years.

Man! love the way you make your lessons! Keep it up!
Thank you Gerardo! Really glad you find this useful 😊
You’ve done it once again my man keep up the good work, you’re definitely the best on UA-cam for guitar lessons
Thank you so much man! Appreciate it

EXCELLENT!! Mahalo!!!!
My man, how do you always post what I'm trying to learn, it's straight-up uncanny!
Can you pls try to do ,,I appear missing"🙏🙏🙏
Co-signed, truly a masterpiece of a song
Nice cover man! I think the only thing missing is that in the chorus, when he plays the 16th fret on the C and the 14th fret on the F he picks it two times, but the rest is spot on, also, could you cover I Appear Missing by then?
Thanks! Haven't realized that. I'll check that part. Posted Paper Machete from new album today. I'll probably post I appear missing next 🙂

Fantastic, more songs from the album S0ngs for the deaf!
Good stuff!!
Love that guitar. I have a 72 tele custom.
Love it! Would be great if you could do 'Another Love Song,' I love that one.
I was waiting for this for a LONG time, I absolutely Love this song, noice job in tabbing this!
My suggestion is to do "In My Head" next :)
Any chance you could do Smooth Sailing? Or I appear missing would be great too! Thanks as always Nikola, my guitar hero
Thank you for this really
Thank you for watching!
MORE QOTSA!!! please)
Nice solo, bro!
God dammit, I'm gonna have to set my guitar to a different tunning.
That was brilliant after watching this this song is playable for me definitely
Grande Nikola gracias ❤
qotsa debut album! 😭🙏
Ficou excelente!
Muito bom!
Please, can you tell the Fender Model name? Thanks a lot!
It's called Blacktop Telecaster. Made in Mexico
Your Channel is great... I learn a lot with your videos: One question: What gauge of strings do you use for C standard tuning? Thanks.
Thank you for watching! Means a lot.
On this guitar I use 10-52
@@nikolagugoski Ok. Then i don't have to change the strings of my guitars....hahaha. THANKS a lot, again!
Good lookin' 🤩🤩🤩
Love that song. Reminds me Electioneering from OKComputer. Which song was written earlier?
Electioneering, 6 years before
well done
love the Telecaster with humbucker, may I ask which model it is exactly? You are welcome to do more of Qotsa ❤️ Greetings from Graz
Thank you! The series is called Blacktop Telecaster and they are made in Mexico around 2010. I'll definitely do more Queens
My man please do Demon Cleaner by Kyuss
More QOTSA please 🙏 can you do go with the flow
I did that one a few months ago. Started working on Paper Machete from the new album 🙂
what's the tuning of the guitar? Becouse I get a higher pitch when I play it.
It's C standard, so all strings are two whole steps lower
The video makes the song pretty easy to learn, the only annoying part is that I have no idea what preset to use on guitar rig 7 to make it sound at least somewhat similar to the original :/
Glad you liked it! Their sounds is kind of weird and I'm not sure if digital plugins can get close to what they are doing
I'm waiting for "3's & 7's" please 🙏🏻
I'm working on I sat by the ocean at the moment :) 3s and 7s maybe after that
What telecaster is that please
It's called a Blacktop Telecaster. Made in Mexico
what strings are u using for this tunning? ty nikola
These are Elixir 10-52 🙂
Do “My Lovely Man” by RHCP next!
I've done that one a few years ago with the old format tab. I might re-upload it in the future
2:43
Damn...so hard to play with the pinky, but i guess its a good workout:)
Yeeeeeeeeeees!!!
Sunday off Post Pop Depression
If only please!!!!!
New axe? ❤
Yes :) Bought it a month ago. I wanted a tele since forever but needed something with humbuckers for the channel. It was kind of win win situation :)
@@nikolagugoski I thought so! Congrats, mate. It's lovely.
Do Elliott Smith next
Please song for the dead!!!!
Play at 1.25 speed for perfect cover
Mexicola pleaseeee
Can you do sweet child o mine
I can try, but that video will most probably get removed or blocked :D
Nice playing, I can't play this song for shit, my little finger just doesn't play ball.
🤘😈
🎸
Shud we guess the tuning!!
It's C standard. You can see it at the beginning of the tab
Them crooked vultures! whole album
Pls do i appear missing!
I appear missing
slow and sitting, amateur work
1: Who cares if he's sitting?
2. It was meant to be slow to break it down for beginners.
