I've eaten this fish many times before and caught some in my time. In Florida we call this a pompano, a species that puts up a good fight and is good eating once you get it home. I never thought of eating it as sashimi before now because I always ate it cooked, until now.
butterfish...i'm a expat.russkie. i love butterfish. it's salted, lightly smoked and called natatenia. i've never had it sashimi...but i will now. superb.

One of the cheap fish in my area. North mozambique. 1 kg of that fish cost max 3 usd. Its max 3 usd per 1 kg. The taste is perfect. Love it
