within a year of owning a 2013 @50,000 miles, this happened to me. Same thing what other guy said, turn off the car for a few minutes 10-25min it starts right back up. Hasn't happened to me since. I'm at 70,000mi now
I traded in my Equus in 2014, so haven't had it in quite a while. MY daughter has a 2023 Tucson (so still Hyundai) and it has a radio issue like that and we have to pull the positive battery connector for 10 minutes. I would suggest that as first item. Otherwise, unfortunately I don't have any other suggestion.
@@apg1 ok I really didn’t expect a reply that quick but I appreciate that, I took the ground off but that didn’t work but I’ll try the positive next, but did that work for u, the radio is a lexicon ?
@@kp5106 no worries, just happened to be on youtube at the moment. Not sure on her radio, it s a 2023, so that was just a fingers crossed type of solution. Hope that works for ya.
@@kp5106never spilled anything in mine. I was pretty much a don’t have drink in my car person. My daughters 2023 Hyundai Tucson did much the same thing. We would pull the battery connection for 15 and it would come back. Turns out she had a bad amplifier and it caused the issue.
Just had the same thing happen to me on my 2013 Equus ...I let it set for about half an hour, went out and started it up and all is back to normal. Must be a fluke or an unknown glitch somewhere.
I recently had to jumpstart my Equus and now it randomly searches for aux and audio/video....what can i do and is there a way to reset the headunit back to factory settings?
unbelievable exactly it happened to me today. no sound from radio... Then i stopped to put gas, turned off the car and after all of a sudden the sound came back ... turned to normal... i just bought the equus 2013 and it has 1000 miles on it. i am still very happy with the car though.
Ah that's horrible. My car goes in tomorrow because my seats are starting to show wear (as in a whole is wearing in the leather) I first saw this at ~15,000 miles. But they are supposed to try to get me a 2013 so I can see that they've fixed some of my problems... Guess I was hoping for too much. Also, I keep a blog of all my issues and experiences. benztoequus.blogspot.com
