I studied Romanian at home for a while after seeing the 1992 Dracula movie. I loved the sound of the language in that movie and still do.

Well, in brazilian portuguese we also have a sentence that only uses vowels: "Ó o auê aí ó". It means: "can you see the problem? The problem is here, in front of us" that's the way I found to translate it 😅. Great video by the way, romanian always impresses me!!!

Also, when a syllable ends with a consonant (very rare in portuguese, but happens more with loan words), in Brazil we usually add a vowel (not written, just spoken hidden vowel)
For example, Laptop we would pronouce something similar to Lapitopi
I would change a bit " ei oia o aue ai uai"
What is funny in this sentence is the this 3 "O" has completely diferent meanings kkkkk
The really good thing about it is that many of the words are instantly recognisible to English speakers. Even the vowels (ă, î/â) are found in some varieties of English.

I have gotten to know (only through UA-cam) several singers and violinists from these two countries. As a Spanish speaker with close Russian ancestry, I feel the need of learning Romanian but; appart from that, it's so cute!
@Bladed Satan 'Cause Romanian mixes both Romance and Slavic heritage, although Slavic influence in Romanian comes mainly from Bulgarian and other languages of the Balkans.
@Bladed Satan 14% loan words is quite a significant proportion. One could speak about Arabic heritage in Spanish and loan words are in the 8%-9% order. Of cuorse lots of Spaniards/Spanish speaking people have a similar disliking reaction, but the influence is there.

Brazilian Portuguese also has a sentence made up only of vowels: "Ó o auê aí, ô!" (Cut out the fuss there, dude) 😄😄😄
Greek language uses only vowels to describe a whole sentence. Take a look at this example:
«OΙΑ ΗΩ Ω ΥΙΕ ΑΕΙ ΕΙ» ( OIA IO O YIE AEI EI )
Whitch translates to -> «Όπως η αυγή, γιε μου να είσαι πάντα!»
In English -> «Like the dawn, my son, be always!»

There's no difference between "dragoste" and "iubire", which are both very common. There is a third word "amor" of Latin origin, but it's far less common than its slavic synonims, and unlike the other two, it's pretty much exclusive to amorous love.

Just a quick note, not trying to be rude here. "Mulțumesc" literally means "I thank" and a verb is only modified by and adverb. In Romanian, the adverb never changes, so you just take the basic form of the adjective "frumos" and use it ad adverb, instead of its feminine counterpart "frumoasă" ("mulțumesc frumos"*). Cheers! =)

@@waomawingu1972 When using an adverb in Romanian, how do you know which form to use? Which form is the the most basic form when all forms are different? I do know though that the masculine singular form is the shortest. I could be wrong, but maybe the person in the original comment meant “thank you beautiful” as in “thank you beautiful woman.” So maybe they used “beautiful” as a noun is what I’m trying to say. Sorry, I sound dumb :(
