Great video! Thank you for testing this for us and providing valuable feedback on the product as well as insights on bringing a new product to the foxbody market!!
This does work on a convertible but you have to install it on the passenger side. The connectors are right on that side, but you had to switch the white and gray wire at the module. Just remove the two wires and switch them. The wires are for the unlock.
We are finding that this will work for some, but a small percentage of the verts were wired differently. We are still trying to figure out which ones so that we can come up with a solution
I pre ordered a set… you didn’t show it in the video… Does all the wiring and stuff fit behind the kick panel or did you have to mount it up under the dash??? What’s the horn button for? Does it work?
@@FoxLoxUSA true but i like the idea if it was a 90's fob at least it would look a little better in the car especially if you used the key on the fob for the ignition
Found that out the hard way today. Wish it had that information on the purchase page and not just on the homepage. So disappointed. Hope they make a kit for convertibles in the future.
I just asked them and can confirm this. They said it will work on my 92 that has power windows and locks, but not on my 87 which has crank windows and no lock switches.
@@417fox I've done it once on an 86. It's not as simple as just adding an actuator and switches. On both of the manual lock cars I've owned that harness you connect it to in the vid doesn't even exist - I had to find a donor harness and the grommets/sleeves for the wiring to the actuator. You also have to get new door panels and/or boards and the armrest assembly. That's not even to mention the tiny missing random bits you always run into like needing some rod or bushings that go in the guts of the door. It was a PITA to do so I won't be doing it again on the 87. Good news is they said they're making one for 4 eye cars so I can slap one in my Capri too.
@@georgemartin7219 Were they power already? My current 86 doesn't have any of the guts - the holes where the grommets go to hold the loom going thru the door jamb by the hinge are just plugged off by grommets. Even if I swapped to doors with all the power guts I would still need all the wiring coming from under the dash as I don't even have the harness plugs it would have to attach to.

Nice! I pre-ordered one. I guess I have no use for that dusty viper alarm on the shelf anymore.
At the start of the video I was really skeptical if I'd like this at all...I love this!
Omg thanks for reviewing this now I gotta get one for my 93!

Does it have remote start?
Man these are awesome! Great product for the best community
This video was great thanks. I'll be installing one on my Grey Notch
Very cool product announcement. Just purchased two of these!
Already have mine on pre order
The harness looks bulky. Did you have any issues placing under the dash. It would have been nice to see how you tucked it away.
It tucked away just fine
My order shipped today. Very excited
how’s it been?
Just preordered mine.
Just ordered!
Nice. I want one. Super convenient. Thank you.
You bet
Already done.
Sweet!

Michael what exhaust is on that car ? It sounds awesome !!
Old school Magnaflow
Would be great if they tied the dome light as a trigger for door opening and a bump sensor with siren for a full alarm solution
I do not see anything about being able to start AOD vehicles. Am I asking for too much?
It’s keyless entry not remote start
OMG this is awesome!!!! 😎

Does the app let you know if someone opens your doors without your permission??
It does not
@@FoxLoxUSA it would be pretty cool if it did, either way i still want it and already placed my pre order thanks.
i think a good idea would be to opt the modern keyfob out for a 90's style since it would prolly look out of place in a fox
Keyless entry itself on a fox is out of place.

For everyone’s situational awareness…. This won’t work on an original manual locks Foxbody…. I was so excited until found this out!

Have you converted your car to power locks? Just curious
