Hi! I absolutely love the bezel you designed. Do you know of anyone selling custom bezels for a 2000 mustang? I'd like to put in a double DIN radio and do HVAC relocation to the bottom. '00 mustangs were unfortunately the last year that they went with single DIN. I could put in a '01-'04 mustang bezel easily enough to solve the single DIN problem, but it doesn't have the HVAC relocation like yours. Thanks so much.
I am so excited I've already ordered mine. Already had a double din in the car but the backup camera is worthless. You can't look at a radio that low and then still drive backward. Can't wait man so excited thank you.
Just ordered one for my car, but I really have to show appreciation for the fact you still show us how to do it. Thanks man and I’m definitely a new subscriber 🤗
Just buy the 90-93 controls. Everything plugs in the same, just opposite sides. That's what I did on my '89. I have a video on my channel if you guys wanna check it out. Sorry for the shameless plug.
Hell Yes! I been waiting on this one! I was just pouring some coffee and thinking man I haven't seen a 417 FOX video in a while! This just made my weekend brother! I got my order in asap!

Can't wait to install mine. Order it a few days ago and I still don't have a double din lol I'm trying to decide and then I'll be mounting my amp, subs in the trunk etc. Rock on 417FOX 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Did you lose any speakers by going to an aftermarket radio? I’ve been on edge about swapping my 93 lx headunit but I’m hearing you’ll lose two speakers unless you bypass the factory amp. Seems there’s no good videos showing how to properly install an aftermarket headunit and keep all the speakers.
I wired each one of my speakers direct. Best way to do it anyway. Was installing a sub and amp too so might as well. I think with the proper harness adapters you can still use your factory amp and not bypass.
Found your channel through this video. Great video, with a lot of detail... Was all set to do this swap, until I noticed the blue box disappearing. :( Unfortunately I want to keep my blue box, So wont be doing the swap. On the other hand I will only be doing a 1din radio, maybe I can find one shallow enough to keep the blue box, (my 29 year old after market Pioneer radio/cassette/6pack CD controller) is dying and I will be replacing it.)
You can actually keep the Airbag Buzzer Box and do a double din. If you choose a shallow depth head unit like the Alpine iLX650 you do not have to cut the dash support that the box rests on. Also. You can always relocate the box as well.
respect to fox 417 but no wires cut in my fox and no holes drilled....used stock radio with ipod shuffle 300 songs all day long.stock premium amp runs front..upgraded speakers.tapped into rear speakers..fozgate amp and 2 fozgate tens..got clean sound and too much boom!!!!!!
Since you cut out the dash support brace & removed the radio bracket, do you have any issues with the dash rattling? Other than the system bumping the Upchurch & Calhoun ?

I spliced the wires. In some cases you don’t have to extend anything. I actually intentionally didn’t film that portion due to the fact that if I have to show you how to properly splice wires then this is probably not an install for you.
Looking to order one soon. Can you tell me will the Alpine iLx-207 fit in the space behind the dash or do I have to go with the shallow 650 version thx
It looks like that is a single din cassis so I am not sure. If your cassis is less than 4” you don’t have to cut the metal dash support. A standard depth unit will work just fine but it will require cutting that support. That’s what I did in my car with the pioneer
@@417fox ok yeah the screen is double din but the chassis is single din in the back. I believe it’s at least 6 inches so if I cut the metal bracket I’m hoping it will make it
