- A showcase of how every rideable machine in the game handles when their stats are maxed out. Keep in mind, it is entirely possible to do this without cheats, it's just...quite a task. But since I'm a darn lazy, the Debug Menu code was used to allow for quick access of stat gains.

I like a videogame that has wind as a central thème instead of cliche Fire vs Water like Pokemon. I certainly love it's graphies. Reminds me of Easter like in Banjo Tooie. Who would have thought that the developers of this game also created Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
I used to play this game every single day of my life back when I was like 5-6 years old in 2005. I had no other game to play on the gamecube so I just spammed this thing all the live long day, oh boy I loved this thing as a kid , though it did not age well Lol. It was a great kirby game at the time though.

I only got max stats on the Hydra. It had max offense, speed, and charge. It was unstoppable.

Holy shit, my childhood. I remember me and my siblings playing this game. We always fought to get the blue-white jet, but my bro always got it. I remember handling batman well, though. We all had our hiding spots for the apocalypse, some underground, some inside the volcano and I always went for the galaxy disc at the top of the map. Great memories were made thanks to this game-w-

I loved Kirby's air ride. But somehow, my GameCube got lost because my mom did some cleaning in 2015. Now she doesn't know where it is. And it's already 2017 and she still can't find it. I haven't played it in FOREVER, but I can remember a few stars. These are my favorite stars in list form.

So we can all agree that after jumpstarting every star with +18 stats in the game leads to everything flying almost out of control.
Man what a legendary nostalgia trip, I remember collecting the pieces for the crystal vehicle and loving soaring around the map, I played this for hours it was soooo good when I was a kid

Is it me or do Sakurai's games seem very mathematic? seems to me that he just got a vector simulator and affected its speed upon the dependency of different parameters. for all of you who don't know what this means just forget what I said and have fun. THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!

This comment is old af but - that’s kinda what I love about Sakurai’s games? Kid Icarus Uprising too: you have equipment with a defined moveset and mechanics, but fluid numerical values. This allows you to build the same item thousands of different ways, but it still maintains its mechanical personality.
It’s such a thrilling compromise between hard-locked character differences, and homogenizing stats-only differences.
Also I want KIU x KAR. Surfing on stars, fighting with gunblades, all with Sakurai’s upgrade system :D

In most cases, the Top Speed of maxed-out vehicles in Kirby Air Ride is capped at 200.95km/h (124.87 mph).
Some can speed boosts beyond that, but I guess the cap was made to keep the game stable.
Besides, handling a maxed out air ride gets difficult at those speeds (except in a drag race, high jump, or flight challenges)
in a legit round its possible to get 9999m in high jump using the dragoon :D
You can also do it with bulk star standard

That's child's play. Try hitting the invisible ceiling at the very top of high jump with Dragoon.
I did! I was freakin proud. Haha I nearly maxed the flight stat (17) and had the dragoon. Needless to say, I was very proud.

Ah classic. Loved this game. This was the first kirby game that was solely mine and was the first to feature kirby as the main protag that I owned. Played it with my cousins. One of them called it the ghost game.

I loved compact star with decent stats, but it even with +10def and hp it was made out of tin foil. Flight star, it took to the skies at the slightest touch, even a hardened bugger would trip it up, favorite star OP. Then Jet Star was just as fun, not as flight trigger friendly but real fast and cool. And when playing with friends Swerve Star was completely banned.
With the Swerve Star, I would remember getting so many Turn patches that it would actually turn normally

The top-left annotations after Wheelie Scooter no stat boosts were glitched out, except Wheel Kirby no stat boosts and some others.

Jirachi the only way you can actually go flying backwards and have controls reversed if you exceed the stat limit very high
So for max bulk star, when you take flight, if you press A in regular intervals you can actually stay in the air basically forever. Doesn't even need to be maxed, just enough flight and weight items and this is possible
If you mash it with good timing it's possible to fly indefinitely without patches too. I got max distance in default Air Glider that way.
From time to time, I remember that their is an actual audience cheering. With nintendo games the audience just becomes noise that you don't even find yourself hearing at all.

The top down vehicles are just re-skins of the warp star and jet star. Red being the warp star, blue being the jet star.

I think the Weight stat keeps you from sliding as much when you charge & slide. It would help you control your car better.
I've noticed it improves gliding too, as too many Glide patches will make the vehicle go more upward than forward while having extra Weight balances it out and makes faster forward movement in the air.
In Kirby Air Ride 2, they will put Kenworth W900A and Peterbilt 359.
Yeah, the codes are for Action Replay. The code activates debug mode, which can be used to spawn the Top Ride vehicles.
I REALLY hate how the audio tends to get out of sync from the video...
Ever since I saw this as a kid I knew that Kirby could of been perfect in 3d. Give ot more structure, make or feel like an actual level/obstacle course a little more so... Enemies to navigate around and/or attack... End up at a boss battle.... Finish 'em off: Perfect.
Every Single stat goes internally up to 16, meaning you start with all but HP at -2.
What, umm, _intrigues_ me the most is how the skies are all different than the normal blue when your showcasing how the Air ride machines function with maximum stats. _and it's Free Run._ *_and the sky color doesn't change in free run._* 🤔

lt's been so long since l made this or played the game... lf you're certain the sky only changes in regular City Trial, then it must be something in the Debug Menu l used.
@@ShimiDiafour years later, and -my old comments are cringe-- I will say, as someone who only owns the GameCube version on a GameCube that I've played countless times since I was...... 4? Ish? I've never once seen Free Run City Trial have a different sky than the default, while I _have_ seen a "cloudy", "sunset", and "nighttime" sky in the regular City Trial mode, with "sunset" actually being my favorite. My assumption is that both the different skies and raised stats in Free Run are both... Debug Menu things.
Goodness, look at the Wagon Star go! I forgot why I, besides the Winged and Shadow Star, always wanted the Wagon Star when I had this when I was younger, but this reminded me that it's one hell of a beast cart. Love it.

That moment when you realize air ride uses the same sound effects as smash bros melee. Both main menus even look similar
I did see that video actually. Just like Bulk Star, in the right hands, Formula star can be amazing aswell. The secret was to use quick braking (rapidly tap A) to change direction without losing too much speed. I really enjoy seeing how people really make the most out of the various stars.

I think the max possible speed in this game (with cheats, but not number hacking) is 365.95. AR + Max speed code. This is on the ground though, in the air, the max speed is 200.95.
