As odd as it was, I miss the Ghost Ability. Maybe they could bring it back and add something to it, like being able to phase through walls to discover secrets, or being able to “spook” weak enemies, and effectively destroy them.
That sounds so fucking fun, now I want Ghost back

@@plasmathehedgehog5895 They can still keep the whole possession of enemies, and maybe incorporate it into things like puzzle-solving… Like guiding Waddle Dees into a tree to pick huge, crisp apples, and then line the apples up, and build a solid bridge over a gap, then drop the Ghost Ability and walk over the bridge to a hidden door where some treasures are or something.

The Copy copy ability let's you copy some abilities you can't normally copy. Like Crash from Scarfy
This is highly underrated. Copy is actually a good ability, it just gets a bad rep because for basic enemies it doesn't give you any advantages.

I love it when ppl acknowledge the 2P when talking about the Copy copy ability because not enough ppl know about it and so they call it useless. When in reality it’s very helpful if you don’t want to make your friend spark into flames just to change their helper
The best thing about TAC was that in Super Star (but not Ultra) it could destroy half the arena bosses in 1 second each (the glove had no cool down if it didn't copy). It was hilariously OP and was nerfed in the remake.

@@Videogabemoment Yeah as kids me and a friend discovered that and preceded to destroy the arena. If it doesn't copy the glove despawns so if you stand point blank you can deal damage as fast as you can press the button. In SSU the glove always does its full animation so you can no longer kill Heavy Lobster before his first action (literally 2 seconds). I like how Kirby is both a cute round mascot and the eldrich embodiment of gluttony.
Squeak Squad was the first Kirby game I fully completed, and as such Ghost Kirby has a special place in my heart. I loved messing with enemies so I could learn their moveset and just walk a mile in their shoes. That same mentality helps me a lot with analyzing boss attacks patterns today :)

One of my favorite combos in Crystal Shards is Stone-Cutter. Kirby carves himself into one of his 6 Animal Buddies, who range from Awesome to Kine.
Pitch is really the only one who matters, letting you flap your deadly hitbox around at high speeds and rolling along when you land.

He's a curling stone.
Don't forget fire and ice. You turn into a block of ice, then a fire melts it forming steam. Also the Lightbulb power (bomb + electric) was only useful one time.

The "Copy" Copy ability does have a unique function, that being only way to obtain the "CRASH" ability through normal gameplay, which can traditionally only be earned via the ability spawners. Which are pretty much always by a big boss room and that's it.
I know for a fact that is not the case in all the games.
You forgot how Kirby LITERALLY cut himself in half when using both Cutter & Double Cutter in Kirby 64

On the topic of Ball, at one point it occurred to me that it'd be kinda neat to try and hybridize it with Wheel, like how they folded Plasma into Spark in Return to Dreamland.
The copy ability was the strongest companion in that snes game. While the intended purpose was to copy another things ability, if you never copied another monster, you just had one of the strongest and best basic attacks.
That was always the first power to grab in the Milky Way game
Ghost Kirby was fun as heck. I loved making enemies fight each other and seeing how far I can go with one singular enemy. Its stupid that they didn’t allow it to go down ladders
I haaaaated how flying abilities were completely shut down by ladders, especially since Ghost and UFO Kirby were my favorite. The Cupid ability got around it since Kirby would walk on the ground if not flying, but other than that ladders interactions seems like such a glaring dev oversight.
I remember figuring out a way to take it down ladders; you could drop the ability and then inhale it back from under the ladder.
There's about 10 sentences in this short video that made me laugh so hard I had to give you a sub after that very well done bro.

Ice Skates, Fridge, UFO, Collection of Random Sharp Objects, Sculptures. Kirby has some great powers.
There's a couple of enemies that can't be copied (like waddle dees) so the ghost ability works there.... plus, it's nice to play as your enemies from time to time
Also clean with Broom Hatter as it hadn’t yet reappeared.

My fucking fridge is the best kirby copy ability of all time, purely cause I left it running.
I don't like the ball ability because you can easily get yourself hurt with that but it's still better than the ice skates in Kirby 64. I mean you're constantly skating forward but the skates are behind you so you don't damage what's in front of you at all

The copy copy ability was good for Milky-way wishes, one of the 3 or 4 different campaigns that you could go on in that game.
Copying abilities by swallowing doesn't work in that game. Basically, you could only get abilities by finding the permanent version somewhere on the map, which allowed you to use it whenever you wanted. That, or you could use the Copy ability (which was found on one of the green background stars on the map) to grab one from an enemy. Very useful in a few different situations.

Ghost was such a fun ability to mess around with, every single enemy in the game has their own controls for it and as a kid I set out to see every single one of them. It's not useful at all but you really only get it as a bonus for finding a set of collectibles anyway so it's more of an extra little something
I was a kid, we were on vacation and our motel room had a N64 you could rent games on, Crystal Shards was one of them and I remember how much i loved the little time I had with it.

Crystal shards was my first Kirby game and definitely my favorite. My favorite ability was the one that turned you into a rock statue of various creatures. I could fly then flatten unsuspecting mobs. Then the rock that was attached to a lightning lasso . Most amusing was the one where he seemed to rub paper across his head and then run around on fire.

Copy had another feature that arguably made it slightly better than regular kirby in the right situations.
Because "copy" scans enemies, vs regular kirby inhaling them, "copy" can pull abilities from enemies you normally can't get them from due to being un-inhaleable

Ghost from squeak squad was one of my favorite copy abilities. Because when possessing the enemies not only were you getting their powers but their movement and some unique enemies attack moves
This makes me want a Kirby sandbox game, where 1. There is every Copy Ability, 2. You can combine Copy Abilities, like in Kirby 64 (but only 2 Copy Abilities can be combined, alongside that the Combo Abilities in Kirby 64 can't be combined), and 3. New Copy Abilities that get added in new Kirby games get added to Kirby Sandbox in an update

The ultimate flaw of ghost from squeak squad was that he couldn’t use ladders. If you encountered a part of the level where you had to go down a latter you were just stuck.
