I owe Star Trek my LIFE. In times of deepest depression, severest despair, Star Trek kept me going. I hope it will go on forever, being a beacon for hope, the future, humanity, for whomever needs it.
Still appreciated in 2021. My wife and I are re-watching TNG again and we just started Season 5. We'll have the box of tissues ready when this episode hits. Such an amazing montage. Much love to the creator.
Man, this is the show changes my attitude towards life and consistently changing after every re-watch. This is the version of tribute i watched the first time. tears me up.
This might be the most important Star Trek video on UA-cam. In just a few minutes, using music from the show, it reminds you of everything you love out Trek. They need to show this at the start or end of the first episode of whatever Trek series comes next.
Oh god I got goosebumps now. This was great, I have been watching Star Trek for as long as I can remember and this really hits home. Too bad they’re spitting in the face of the franchise now. Oh well, it was a wild ride up until that point.
Amazing! Every time the tune gets to 4:40 it really gets me. Star Trek used to be so brilliant, even the bad episodes are far better than what we get today.
Still brings a tear and a lump in the throat, every time i watch this. This is why star trek stands head and shoulders above everything else. Though babylon 5 comes close.
Wow. I swore this wasn't going to make me cry, but that brought a tear to my eye. The transitions between series were almost perfect; and the end with the crossed time lines, wonderful.
Just finished a Star Trek binge starting with TOS and running through everything, from the animated series, movies and all the way until the end of Enterprise. I knew I had to come back and rewatch this afterward. Live long and prosper.
Time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again Here's to the golden age. The likes of which we'll never see again.
every time i see these video i get tears in my eyes, when scotty is on brigde of the enterprise and salute to his friends..... grown up with original star trek....top video
So many memories. So many are gone. Leonard, DeForest, Jimmy, Majel, and Grace. I only ever saw them at conventions but they all feel like old friends.
Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. It's mission, to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilisations. To boldly go, where no man has gone before! Rest in peace, Star Trek, 1966-2005. Star Trek The Original Series - Star Trek The Animated Series - Star Trek The Motion Picture - Star Trek The Wrath Of Khan - Star Trek The Search For Spock - Star Trek The Voyage Home - Star Trek The Final Frontier - Star Trek The Undiscovered Country - Star Trek The Next Generation - Star Trek Generations - Star Trek First Contact - Star Trek Insurrection - Star Trek Deep Space Nine - Star Trek Nemesis - Star Trek Voyager - Star Trek Enterprise. It's been a damn long road for us Trekkies and Trekkers, getting from there to here.
John Halliwell. Thank you so much❣️ That was absolutely wonderful as well ... mayby beside the last 20 seconds where Picard on the flute practising this suite is missing🤨 Other than that, equally gorgeous🖖🏼🤩
Such an american treasure. This brings me good memories of the time I spent in America, specially in beautiful San Francisco. I used to watch Star Trek voyager and I got hooked on it. Loved it and this is what makes America such a great country. The ability to create fantasy and makes us happy everyday. Long live America.....Love you guys.....José ................from Brazil.
Just to add...I have a 9 year old grandson who after watching the reboot has become fascinated with all things Star Trek. Its a joy for me to see him loving it and asking so many questions. We watch TOS and TNG together often. 2 weeks ago I took him to a special screening of the TNG episodes when the Borg take Picard. He loved it.
45 years of the best television and movies ever. Thank you Gene Roddenberry! R.I.P. to all that have been lost in The Final Frontier. We fans miss you!
Old Star Trek, new Star Trek, I love them all. I'm glad Star Trek is going forward and attracting a whole new generation of fans. If you don't like the reboot then don't watch it but I bet you will. You know you want to. Bet you can't wait.
Where are all the new fans? Moved on to the next big explosion movie? Did you even watch all of this? They are all gone yet I am still here. I just finished David Mack's first book in "The Seekers" series and am besides myself with the "Prelude to Axanar" clip.
That was a fantastic & amazing video. I was born in the late '60 & Star Trek has been around my whole life, I grew up watching, & still do watch, all of the Star Trek shows & movies, I have been & always shall be a Star Trek fan.
Our beloved Star Trek. We will miss thy glorious times of great writing, acting, and canon! You will be missed. Anything else is not Star Trek. This is a wonderful tribute and that flute music almost brought a tear to my eye. You have a wonderful video here, here's to the 45th anniversary of the true star trek!
For me, Star Trek has always taught me to so the right thing when others aren't, to be honest with myself and my peers, and to always look at problems in a new way. Live long, and prosper.
Wow. That was so beautiful. I love Star Trek, and I wish I was around during the Golden Years. Sadly, I think Star Trek is now a thing of the past. :( I miss those wonderful actors who were such a beautiful part of Star Trek: DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, Mark Lenard... and of course the Great Bird Himself. Rest In peace you wonderful people. Star Trek will never be the same without them. Star Trek 1966 - 2009. R.I.P.
Thank you for such a moving tribute to a show that took me out of the horror of my own life and gave me hope that something better was awaiting. TOS, thankfully, was fed to me as a child, and I eventually came "around" to the new shows - and look forward to many more years of hoping that humanity will live up to Gene's vision... WONDERFUL VIDEO!! even with the tears... Peace and Long Life...
You have done a good thing. So many memories contained in this combination of all the Star Treks. Just finished watching the latest Star Trek and it's terrific. Thanks for all your work. I know it wasn't easy!
Star trek is a show that will live forever no other show will come close to it amazing video I'm so glad I found this and will share with my star trek friends! After watching this they need a love button!!
Epitomizing the true spirit of Star Trek... Embracing the entirety of the Star Trek Universe... Gene Roddenberry would have loved this! Thank you, my friend.
This is the best Tribute I've ever seen with the perfect musical score from the Inner Light... Total thumbs up...and agree with many tears in my eyes at all the history.
Every time I watch this video... I feel only good feelings. The inner light episode and the music was one of the most moving scripts ever written for a tv show. This compilation did a great job and using that same emotion and applying it to Star Trek as a whole. thank you.
Dec 15 1966. I had just turned 5 less than 2 weeks earlier. I was allowed to stay up and watch this spaceship show on tv with my 10 years old bro. Balance of Terror. I then watched them all for 45 yrs Now I live in Nichelle Nichols neighborhood. Fascinating. Luv the tribute to them all. Xclnt!
I cry every time. How much time and energy I've given on loving Star Trek. and it always gave back. Made me dream more, want more and achieve more. The very driving force for me since I was just a little kid. It can be just a cheesy sci-fi series, but the pure love put into all this is overwhelming. And this tribute, it's exactly this. A perfect tribute to a series that spanned at least 3 generations of people touched by this awesomeness. This is like coming home. Also, TL;DR.
Beautiful! This should be part of some DVD collection! I can't think of any better sound track for this! ST:TNG Inner light should have gotten some award! Cheers!
Einfach nur wunderschön! Hoffnung, Ideale, Menschlichkeit - all das findet man bei Star Trek! Ich bin ein grosser Fan und hoffe, dass die Zukunft in Teile so aussehen wird!
Well congratulations on being such a devoted fan. Yes, "Best of Both Worlds" is what we saw. It was both episodes together from the new dvd presented at a local theater for one night only. I bought tickets in advance. It included extras from the dvd such as interviews with the cast and bloopers. Really enjoyed seeing it on the big screen in HD.
I leave a country that I have lived in and have loved for over 6 years very soon. I love this music as my good bye theme. I feel like Scotty on the bridge of his Enterprise, toasting a drink to long lost comrades and for times that will never come again.
That was incredible. I've loved Star Trek since episode one of TOS back in September 1966. Yeah, I cried some when I watched this video. May Star Trek live on forever!
Read through a bunch of pages of this and just want to add my thoughts. 1) I have loved this video for ages now. Probably one of the most well produced fan pieces I have ever seen. They should seriously show this at every Trek convention, because it really embodies what the franchise as a whole stood for.
best star trek video ever, best series video ever, best movie video ever or just the best video ever ... Star trek will last forever and that is why wee all love it

I love the cross-overs. Makes me feel like it's one big family! Gene's big family, whether he had a hand in making the series or not. Here's to another 45 years of Star Trek! No TV series has a 45 year history!
Haven't watched this in a while and it still holds up well. It really shows STAR TREK overall is about the human adventure to the stars. I hope in this reality it happens sometime.
I owe Star Trek my LIFE.
In times of deepest depression, severest despair, Star Trek kept me going.
I hope it will go on forever, being a beacon for hope, the future, humanity, for whomever needs it.
Likewise, sir. 🖖
"Let's make sure history never forgets the name ... Enterprise".
Make sure history never forgets the name....Groppler Zorn!
Still appreciated in 2023, nearly 60 years of Star Trek!
This is still the best tribute on youtube, 10 years later!
And keeps to proper Trek. Only if we knew what horror would follow from 2009 onwards
2023 and onwards 🖖
also after 16 Years ;)
this video still is amazing... and now it's 12 years old... how time flies
2023 now 🖖❤️🖖
Live long and prosper Mr. Nimoy. You now and forever will be our friend.
Who would have believed Picard season three could have provided such a perfect conclusion? ❤🖖👍
Simply the best sci-fi series ever.
Live long and prosper!

Why is it I cry every time I see this video? Happier times I guess when ST was on.
One of my all time favourite Star Trek anniversary videos!
Great job!!!
Had to come watch this again after hearing about Leonard. Another friend we'll never meet again.
12 years later and I still love this video as much as I did then haha
Always brings tears to my eyes everytime I watch this. This reminds me also the best years of my life. God I miss those times ....
Wow. I swore this wasn't going to make me cry, but that brought a tear to my eye. The transitions between series were almost perfect; and the end with the crossed time lines, wonderful.
This should totally be updated with higher resolution. This still brings a tear to my eye everytime. A+ work.
Dammit! I can never get through this without welling up.....
Absolutely the best tribute to an Iconic series that could ever be made. I just have to share this with my friends.
Utterly brilliant. I'm an ST fan, hubby a diehard ST-er. I showed him this, and we both got all quiet and misty-eyed. Wonderful, wonderful work.
Scottys toast..to lost comrades...gets me everytime!
That is the most well done compilations I have EVER seen! Thank you so much for the flood of memories and emotions.
Same sir 🖖❤🖖
Damn it 5:59 is just too...too...
I dont even know what words can describe that...
Made sadder by the fact he was one of the first to leave us.
Lezhi Lo affirmative, sir. 😢
This kind of feeling you can't get from the jj Abrams trek reboot. heck, it's hard to get this kind of feeling anywhere
OMG I totally didn't expect to get emotional over that. All the faces I loved growing up and all through adulthood. Thank you.
Just finished a Star Trek binge starting with TOS and running through everything, from the animated series, movies and all the way until the end of Enterprise. I knew I had to come back and rewatch this afterward. Live long and prosper.
been a fan since 1966, and I like this tribute.
Magnificent and touching tribute to Star Trek.
still get goosebumps when I hear this...
I love Star Trek so much. 🌌🖖🚀🛸⭐🌠🪐🌍❤
Time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again
Here's to the golden age. The likes of which we'll never see again.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Star Trek is better than Star Wars.
Star Trek and Doctor Who shit all over Star Wars. Both infinitely better.
I got emotional during this video... Well done!!! The song selection was PERFECT!
WOW. That was terrific. It was more than a journey through Star Trek. It was a journey through my life. Thank you.
I LOVE the way the handovers are dealt with in this vid, with DS9, a truly underrated masterpiece of sci-fi, being the binding thread.
Best tribute and I love watching it on repeat it shows how star trek is a cultural icon
At 2:36 everything gets just amazing when the music changes and the TNG part starts. Its extremly emotional.
You should do one for the 50th next year
+Anze G absolutely! Do a new one for the 50th!
Anyone else tear up at this? And look what the ds9 characters are doing compared to the rest. That's why DS9 was the best! :)
The song always makes me tear up & yeah DS9 was one of the best Trek series imo :)
every time i see these video i get tears in my eyes, when scotty is on brigde of the enterprise and salute to his friends..... grown up with original star trek....top video

One word - "Fantastic"
I so miss watching a new series of Star Trek.
I miss this...
You should do one again for the 50th anniversary next year using the same song. This suite can't be topped, I think.
Fantastic. Any chance of a HD version?

That flute music makes me cry almost every time. Well done, indeed.
Beautifully done. A reflecting and reverent look at the progression of the Star Trek saga. I could watch it over and over! Thank you for the effort.

This is what startrek is all about..i am proud to be a trekkie, thank you.
Love the music (" The Inner Light") and video..thanks for adding "Enterprise" first.
