- The Joker nation has been through hell this campaign. Now it’s going to get even worse. A Mediterranean alliance has formed to support the Dual Monarchy and check Scandinavian dominance, with Burgundy first in the firing line. As the dust settles from the Great War, and the humbling of the Asian Hugbox by the ADF, the diplomacy is shifting. The status quo could not continue.
The Rhineland, one of the key regions of Germany, will be transferred to me. All I have to do is nothing. Burgundy agreed to give it to me in exchange for letting him fight the Dual Monarchy… This deal didn’t say anything about the DM getting OTHER allies.

To be honest, Burgundy is my favourite player in this campaign.
Yea he did some cheesy moves, he constantly on the eage on mental collapse, but he fight for his life until the very end, using all means necessary to survive.

Honestly I think DM made the right call in not going for the encirclement when he wasn't confident that it was a good idea. They were in a winning position where being cautious had no drawbacks. It's easy to just do whatever people are yelling at you to do, and not so easy to ignore them.

Every single video, I'm either convinced that Burgundy is gone or that DM is gone, but somehow, they just keep going.

Burgundy has an uncanny ability to prevent complete ruin when complete ruin seems all but certain.
Burgundy just simply refuse to die.
You can even check him seeing him full flat on the monitor and he will still got up angrily saying "FUCK YOU!"

I wonder if, when the time comes, Spudgun will actually give Holstein and Pomerania territory back
I also wonder if England will flip when the Asians are contained and try and form the UK (that would be an insane formable to see in DoD multiplayer)
What looks to be the last 1v1 for Germany is about to commence, if it stays a 1v1 that’s a 75 brigade difference, so long as spud doesn’t massively skill issue, or so long as Danubia doesn’t get graced with gas attack and turn a 75 brigade disadvantage into a 200 brigade advantage, I think spud should have this one in the bag.
not necessarily the last 1v1. He's gotta get Pomerania and Holstein to form the nation, and it's likely the Elbians break sphere if he doesn't get them transferred peacefully.
Spud already has gas, so I don't see how he could "get graced with gas attack" - note that the video says that gas attack & defence are 100% chances in this mod.
@@FishwicksREAL I imagine spud will try and take as many states as possible before sphering elbians, along with that, He could fairly quickly get the transfers done with scandi, perhaps even immediately after the war. What matters of course, is the timing of everything.

This series has honestly been the greatest of your work so far filled with weird maps , weird alliances coupled with deals that go against any morals and desperate at times and finally a classic asian hugbox . This is truly peak cinema.
i was one of the 50% that predicted the DM win, in hindsight it the forgetting troops in africa and asia was predictable (happens often in these series) but I'll be honest and say it was more just optimism for the nube.
I voted for them because they can reinforce fronts faster. Scandi and England need transports so they have to constantly micro while Spain and Italy can just right click on Paris or something.

Excited for future parts. Honestly, the diplomacy and wars in this campaign have been quite underwhelming for the most part, just because the alliance blocs have been so monolithic and static. The big interesting thing for me has been the diplomacy in Western Europe centring around Burgundy. But now that the diplo is changing it looks like there'll be some more wars of limited scale before the last Great War. One that will actually be interesting as both sides will have strong naval powers.

I don't think the DM skilled issued that hard in this war. Sure, he missed an encirclement opportunity, but I think the bigger factors going into the war were the diplo and location of forces.
With the nose state and Savoy it looked like Italy had leafy's chin

Thinking on how Burgundy could do diplo to save himself. He could attempt to cozy up to the DM to focus on England to at least buy more time alive. I'm not sure how they would be able to recover any European land but may be able to earn some scandinavian colonies. Any other opinions would be great to hear. Great video as always.

I'm calling it. Tensions between medditerean alliance and the protestant north will continue to grow. If Germany is formed by the deal to transfer Pommerania temporarily and then transfer back, Spudgun will be offered Pommerania in exchange for neutrality in a great war. Not sure if he'd take or not. It would be a good deal, but Spudgun might take the war anyways since it's you know, THE war campaigns build towards.
Also, what's the chance that if Spain becomes a significant enough naval power that England flips? They can form Britian and get Scottish (and Irish I think?) as well as cores on Scotland and Ireland if they go against Scandinavia.
