Hey Steve! Those are very down to earth strategies. It’s always good to take care of the basics. I can tell that having a website, connecting with people and doing research about libraries really make the whole difference. I’ll try to get my feet wet in the sync world this year. You pretty much said it all: My "strategy" this year is to take my first steps in the sync world aside from putting music on stock sites.
Also I'll start putting classical guitar stuff on DSPs, which I can also put into stock libraries. And maybe finally finish my website..
So there is pretty much to do, but that's the best thing that can happen, right?

Hey Andy! Yes indeed there is much to do but it's a good feeling to be productive and keep busy. Excited to hear more of your music this year man and I hope you get some good momentum with the DSPs this year, that's also a goal of mine!
Hey Steven. Would you please shed some light on how you organize yourself, your studio, your computer, your external hard drive(s), your business and paperwork with regard to sync? I know that's probably a lot but, there are song sessions that are finished and some that are not! There is paperwork to keep track of. Libraries to keep track of and templates to keep track of - etc. How do you do it? What are your strategies for keeping track of all of this?

New to the channel, great advice! On the subject of pursuing music libraries, I have a question: Longterm, do you ever think about the issue of locking away a song to a music library such as Artlist, and the longevity of those platforms? For example, let's say you have a really great song that you hand over to Epidemic, and now they own the rights to that song, if something were to happen to them, it feels like you might jeopardize the longevity of your creative works by tying it up with one platform. It feels like the long-term potential of a piece of work you create requires a lot of faith in the success of the platforms you choose in the short term.
Thanks for watching! It’s an interesting point, but most of my work isn’t locked away. Majority of music on Artlist and elsewhere is non exclusive, and the music that isn’t, well that was bought and paid for so.. even if everything falls apart, I was already compensated for the effort. Exclusive contracts with no compensation are another matter though, and I guess in some sense it’s an act of faith if you tying your music up with those sorts of deals. But I wouldn’t sign any deal at all if I didn’t have faith in the library’s success

Hi Steve! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I am beginning my journey in stock music libraries, I am a bit confused about setting a price for my tracks. Do you have a general advice on that topic? (I may have missed it, but I have not seen a video from you on that particular subject)

Any plans to do any film scoring and to work with directors? It would be good to build up your Music Department IMDB.
For sure, we'll see how it goes! Sort of got my hands full with licensing and the academy at the moment, but would like to get back into scoring for sure.
