For that exact reason I send all my music in both .wav and .mp3 form because most places I have worked with don't clearly state what they are looking for even after asking. 3:17

Appreciate that
What is keeping these libraries from stealing your music when you showcase your catalog?
Copyright claims. If their music isn't cleared to use it causes legality issues for their clients and ruins their reputations. Paperwork & clearance is super important for sync licensing
Are the guys who leased their cues still screwed?
I recommend keeping your sync tracks seperate from lease tracks
If a library doesn't have a certain style of music, wouldn't they then want that style/genre to have a more diverse selection of music?
Some yea, but Not if they specialize in a specific style of music, for example: indie artist agencies, cinematic trailer libraries, classical music libraries, etc
Tbh people who don't even research their potential partners enough to find out that their music style isn't even compatible with the sounds they wanna have listed... deserve to get rejected. Kinda sad this is something that needs explanation, but looks like it is. ;)
I believe it's more so, people don't know exactly what or how to research when trying this lane out
