That little fan you use is perfect! Lol. I been using a camping air mattress pump to stoke my fire. Great video!
Its funny, all these expensive barbecue tools and a little $2 fan becomes a central part of the whole cooking process. Thank you for watching!
Love your videos! I'm ordering a Mill Scale 94 and I'm thinking that I'll order the 2nd upper shelf. Is there a reason you didn't order one? Also, any regrets about ordering the plancha? I'm going that way too, but in your video it looks like it leaks some smoke and heat out of the firebox.
The Mill Scale is an awesome smoker and I have no complaints. I thought about the second shelf, but I didn't get it because cost was starting to creep on me a bit (I knew I wanted that plancha) and I don't really have huge cooks where I need that volume of space. It could come in handy when you need a little bit warmer temperature on the top rack but still have other food down low. The plancha doesn't really leak smoke any more than the cook chamber door does. They opening is inset so that when it is closed, the door kind of seals itself off. Honestly the grease valve at the bottom is far more of a concern for leaking smoke. But in the end, I wouldn't be able to tell that there was an issue. The smoke rings have been ridiculous and the flavor is excellent.
It feels like I use the plancha once every three cooks. I really like it. I don't have a blackstone and my other grills don't have the surface space. If you can get past the cost, the plancha is phenomenal.
