My Focus RS Is Broken Again... But This Time It's Making Too Much BOOST!

- Too much boost in the Ford Focus RS. We keep getting an overboost code and I'm not sure what the problem is. The car did come with two different diverter valves. Is the car tuned or do we have bigger problems to worry about? Stay tuned while we figure out what is wrong with the Ford Focus RS... Also what tuning companies did you have tune your car?

Typically you need a reference adapter when using a blowout valve like that. It is a reference valve, try the Ford one that you had. That’s what fix my issue and have in mind currently.

I found that my rs had an turbosmart waist gate, so maybe that or the trace a the vac lines for the waist gate. The whistle on acceleration sounds like an over spun turbo to me. Great vids keep them coming!

@@CalebEckenrode Alott of people redo the vac like to the bov, because they are weird some times. Maybe try that too. Also see if it’s only when it’s cold or heat soaked.
I'll do know some people install the solenoid bypass if they run a BOV but i'll have to dig into this one to see if I can find anything. The overboost code happens anytime it revs high and I'm close to full throttle.
My subaru did this as well. I think it’s the turbo.
There is a silencer mountune makes for that annoying whistle. Its like a plug. Another pain install. Do 93 thats what i have on my RS, its everywhere. The overboost may be a leak in a boost pipe.
Oh so the whistle on acceleration is normal? I was thinking either 93 or e30 bc the gas station by my house has e85. I’ll have trace everything back and see if there is any leaks anywhere.
